Well done la Roche Posay this new oil control is fantastic for my combination mature sun sensitive skin. It rubs straight in feels like it gives me a mattifying effect ,which is great in the summer. This product feels weightless, it has a really pleasant slight scented smell which I really like. Very much like expensive skincare. This is my new favourite and I'm switching up to this oil control invisible fluid. Bring back the old formula

I’ve used the La Roche Posay 50+ Shaka fluid everyday for 3 years. I would normally go through one bottle a month so I tended to bulk buy when offers were on. When I first saw the new formula come out I got quite excited as I had high hopes for this higher UVA protection. So like normal, I brought 3 new bottles of it to add to my stock. After opening and trying the first bottle of this new formula I instantly noticed a difference in the colour and thickness. It’s a lot more yellow and a lot more runny. I’ve even had comments from people who don’t normally comment on my skin, telling me my face looks quite greasy when I wear it. I really hope La Roche Posay listens to these reviews and does something about it. I’d really like to keep using their products but if nothing is done about it, I’m really considering looking for alternatives (which as a long-time customer, is quite a shame).

Holy Grail Protection and More

I'm so glad I decided to try this particular sunscreen from La Roche-Posay {already being happy with, -and using their SPF50 for children for both me and my son} wanting something that felt a bit lighter for the face and neck especially. I have very sensitive, reactive skin prone to redness {not diagnosed but ticks every box for Rosacea} and not only does this sunscreen not cause any irritations whatsoever, but my skin seem calmer and happier since I've started using this nearly daily and I've had no flare ups and putting it on. There's not even a hint of redness {that can even be brought on by my kind moisturiser that is great for me otherwise}. So much so that I've stopped using a primer before make up application {and rather just use this sunscreen and then a cc cream and some translucent mineral veil, and I have had more compliments on my skin than ever}. The consistency is quite runny and light, but I find that to be a great feature for a sunscreen for the face as it melts in with no white cast whatsoever. It stays a bit tacky to the touch {and skin looks healthy 'glowy' on me}, which I now only appreciate as that might be what then has make up sit well on top too. First time I ordered I was a bit taken back by how small the bottle is, but it's lasted much longer than expected with daily use and I've reordered more than happily since.

This is hand down the best chemical sunscreen I’ve ever used and well worth the money. It’s lightweight but still water resistant and is the only sunscreen I can wear without instantly sweating in the humid summers in my area. It doesn’t make my face/neck feel sticky and gross and unless I apply a ton, it doesn’t leave me a shiny. (If you do apply a lot - as in more than the recommended 1/2 teaspoon for your face - it does leave you with a little dewy shine but this dries down.) I have medium-tan skin and it leaves NO cast on me or my friend with a deep skin tone. Most amazingly: this doesn’t bother my eyes AT ALL, even when put on my lids/up to my lower lash line. New formula nothing like the original

I agree, super disappointed! I will not be using this again now the formula has changed from the original La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultralight Invisible Fluid SPF50+ Sun Cream. I felt this actually allowed my face to tan during this summer rather than protect it (I am very pale) and my face colour looked really uneven, yellow in places on application. I was a complete convert to the original formula and used it daily, even in the Winter but this new formula stained the neckline of all of my white tops- the original did not seem to do this and I have used it for years! The original also created a lovely sheen, almost like a primer and I could go make-up-free. The new version feels drier, almost a matt finish which is trickier if you do want to apply make-up after, and ... MoreI agree, super disappointed! An incomparable formulation that glides onto the skin, visibly appearing and feeling nourishing, hydrating and cooling. No tacky residue or white cast. Leaves skin with a subtle glow that's more comparible to healthy prepped and plump skin as opposed to a sunscreen saturated look. I've been using this since the year of it's release and it's one of my not so secretive truths of younger looking skin, (I'm often mistaken for a twenty-something year old student), I'm 37. Can't quite put it into words, its nice to hold and feels like a bottle with purpose and action in mind... If that even makes any sense. I have light skin, green eyes and have never got sunburnt using La Roche Posay Invisible Fluid. I use this all year round - even on cloudy Wintery days. UVA damage does not discriminate and isn't just a word for Summer.

Some trade offs for great protection

I decided to try this on the recommendation of a dermatolist, because of the long uva filters, which makes this a really innovative product. Since I'm concerned with doing everything I can to prevent premature skin aging, I chose the tinted version.The tint is a little dark for me, but I take it down my neck so it looks natural.It sinks in really quickly, which is great as it this makes sure that I use the proper amount, as it doesn't spread far.I feel confident that I'm getting really good protection wearing this.
