GAME CHANGER. I use to spend so much money on different over-the-counter Retinol’s at Sephora, that we’re costly and had to much ā€œfillerā€ ingredients (Im not saying all Retinol’s are bad, some are great for very sensitive skin). Until, I did my research and found that the most effective anti-aging/acne ingredients (due to its ability to effectively and rapidly produce cell turnover), are firstly, pure Retinoic Acid and secondly, Adapalene. This is backed up by dermatologists and multiple controlled studies did on these ingredients. Studies have shown that it can aid in anti-aging properties such as, photo/sun damage and wrinkles and most importantly acne. I ordered mine off ULTA, because unfortunately for us Canadians they do not sell it over-the-counter. Side-note: definitely do your research on the do’s/dont’s before using this product for the first time. Certain products/ingredients, and the order you put it in can determine how effective/irritating this product can be for you. Your skin will be sensitive in the first month, but it will go away once your skin adapts to the product. I’m currently going through a ā€œpurgeā€ (flaking, mild irritation, dryness). The most important thing is to WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN to avoid further damage to the skin; this company makes great ones (check out my reviews on them)!

I have been using differin for a couple of years and decided to switch to La Roche-Posay Acne System. I been struggling with adult acne and I’ve tried so many products before and it was not helping. I’ve tried clinique, paula’s choice, and the ordinary. Unfortunately these products did not work for me. I have been using this acne system for a few weeks and I can see it’s working. It help shrunk any pimples on my face and it did not dry up my face like the other products I tried. I think I finally found the skincare line that works for me. I can’t wait to try other products from La-Roche Losay!

A trustworthy range.

First off, the Cleansing Gel. I’m not always a fan of foaming cleansers as they can be a bit drying but this certainly doesn’t leave you with that ā€˜tight’ feeling. Just clean skin. A little goes a long way, emulsifies easily and washes off either with warm water or a flannel. I rather like this product for in the shower in the mornings.Next, the Clarifying Lotion. I’ll be brutally honest here and say that I did find this a little too drying. Alcohol Denat is right up there in the inci list which is a real shame as the other ingredients are a gentle yet effective powerhouse for problematic skin. And it’s great to find a toner that doesn’t contain Glycolic Acid nowadays (which my skin rather dislikes). If your skin doesn’t mind the alcohol content, I’d recommend you give this a whirl as its certainly effective at keeping those pesky blackheads and blemishes at bay.Lastly, the Effaclar Duo+. An absolute holy grail for me - I’ve lost count of the number of tubes I’ve been through over the years. It can be used at serum or moisturiser stage (it’s certainly hydrating enough for my combination skin). It plays well with all other products applied before and afterwards. And nothing clears my skin up like it. The Niacinamide works wonders on the appearance of pores whilst the Salicylic Acid tackles any breakouts/texture. I recommend this product to so many friends.

Amazing bundle
1 January 2023

Amazing stuff! Been using the face wash for a while and saw a huge difference in the texture of my skin, along with less blemishes and redness. Decided to buy it as a bundle and I’m also very happy with the other products. The toner works great and can already see a difference in my skin from using it. The balm is wonderful for clearing scaring/ acne too. I have also found my skin to be less oily whilst using these products.

Best products for blemished & oily skin
7 September 2022

Without a doubt these 3 products are the most fantastic products on the market for sensitive yet blemished & oily skin. I’m 42 & have lived with blemished skin since my teenage years. These 3 products have revolutionised my skin. Breakouts are now minimal. Pores refined. Oil under control. I’ll invest in these for life & this 3 pack is by far the most cost-effective way to purchase

Burns but works?
30 January 2023

Bought this a few weeks ago, from the very first time my skin was burning after using it. I instantly stopped using the effaclar duo on my full face and only use the toner from time to time. My skin has been very dry and flaky since using it which wasn’t a problem before. I now use the effaclar duo on my spots only and it is doing a good job at clearing them. However my skin is still very flakey and sensitive so definitely mixed feelings. No complaints about the cleanser though.

Such a brilliant product!I used to really struggle with hormonal acne and this simple 3 step routine that I have added into my day has really changed my face.I no longer get huge breakouts, just the odd one every so often and my skin is softer and pain free.It took my skin about 4/5 weeks before I started seeing really good results, so be persistent even if at first it doesn’t look like it’s making a difference. You will thank yourself later! I am now onto my second box and I won’t be stopping using this brilliant product!

Great products great value

Very good value great products I will be purchasing again. I have blemish prone skin that gets quite oily these products help keep my skin blemish free and oil free. I get the odd blemish now and again but it quickly goes away after a few days when I use these products. Before I used these products I would spend a lot of money trying other products but they did not keep my skin clear after using these products I would actually say I will never use another product I will always buy La Roche Posay products they are great value as as a little goes a long way and for this reason they last a long time. I would highly recommend these products and this brand.

Skin saviour after 32 years

I have struggled with my skin on and off ever since I was a teenager. I have spent a fortune on skincare over the years and genuinely have never found a single product that has made a noticeable and consistent difference to my skin. At the age of 32 I have discovered these miracle products and it is the first time I have EVER noticed a considerable improvement to my skin! Word of warning - I started using this product three months ago and for the first couple of weeks my skin started to breakout and I was really disheartened but I read up on it and it sounds as though this was a "skin purge" - three months later with consistent use every day my skin has been completely transformed. The only negative is that even after 3 months of use, it still makes my skin sting pretty badly but I only use the products at night so I figure this is a small price to pay for having massively improved skin! I have never written a skincare product review before but I hope this helps someone and makes them want to try these products because they have worked better for me than anything I have ever tried. I only wish I had discovered them sooner!

Works really well

These items do everything the description says they will do. After only using the products for one week (day and night) I am noticing a difference in my skin. I have no more breakouts, the appearance of my scarring from acne is getting better, and my skin in general looks much healthier. At first, the toner irritated parts of my skin but I have sensitive skin anyway and after a while my skin adjusted. When the irritation first started, I only used the toner once a day, once my skin got used to this, I increased it to twice a day (day and night). Now I have no issues with irritation. These products are lovely and have worked beautifully for me. I would definitely recommend.
