I was intimidated because I had never used an external hard drive previously. However, this was so easy to use. I was able to move over documents and pictures and have plenty of space! It's sleek and nice looking too!

This is a external hdd and I got the 2tb config. Its useful to transfer large files but is hampered by the fact that its a mechanical drive. It feels good in the hands and seems sturdy. I like it and useful but would be great if the speeds were faster.

I purchased this drive for Time Machine backups for my new MacBook Pro and the experience was flawless. Set up was fast and easy. It's so quiet and attractive. Good price, free shipping, expedited delivery were bonuses. (BTW, it follows an older LaCie that served as backup from my previous MacBook Pro. That drive successfully transferred all my files and preference to the new machine without a hitch.)

The software is easy to use and sets up quickly. The protective aluminum case is durable (although I do recommend getting a travel case for it), so I don’t worry about traveling with it. I got this because I had four laptops that I needed to gather all the old information and pictures to one Central point. So I got this hard drive they have plenty of room and was absolutely a piece of cake to get to come up on the computer. Seems to be very well-made and durable will have forever.
I got this drive to expand the amount of data that my computer could hold, and it has lived up to its purpose. It is a solid unit, was easy to plug in and use, and has performed up to my standards so far. It seems that the LaCie brand has created another excellent product that will stand the test of time.
This hard drive has been a great, slim option for me. I’ve really liked the sleek design (nice brushed aluminum casing) and it functions just as you’d expect. Overall a really slim and portable package.
