In photos, the color looked so close to an old discontinued lipstick that I used to use several years ago that was warm pink. However, in person it leans much more of a brown shade than the warm pink which is disappointing. It seems like every brand is releasing lip liners right now, and @lancomeofficial generously sent me theirs, the Lip Idole Lip Shaper, in Shade-Throwing Beige to try.I'll admit I'm not a huge lip liner person - I like to use them with softer lip oil/gloss/balm formulas to keep them from bleeding, but I don't often use them for style or looks. That being said, this is one of the better higher end ones I've tried. It strikes just the right balance between being creamy enough to glide and blend effortlessly, but stiff enough to stay in place. I'm perhaps in the odd camp that uses lip liner on the full lip as my all over color. I apply the liner and then something like aquaphor over to reduce the dry/drag. I used the Lip Idôle liner the same way, but found that it isn't as dry as your typical liner, which was nice. The color lasted a great deal of the day but did need a reapplication after a full meal. It did not transfer or bleed- the formula is stiff enough to give a crisp line (I like to overline my Cupid's bow and part of my bottom lip) but creamy enough to spread with no uncomfortable drag. My lips didn't look dry, either. Worked just fine in the traditional way with lipstick as well, and my lines stayed crisp. I wasn't a big fan of this product. When I received the product I couldn't get the cap off and ended up breaking off the tip of the lip liner. I received the color mahogany mom. I was searching on the lip liner to find a sharpener but was disappointed to find that there was none so I had to dig out one of my old sharpeners. And here's where the problem starts the lip liner is so soft and creamy it feels almost impossible to sharpen. Certain products are like that where yes they are extremely creamy and they go on smooth but it doesn't help when you need to sharpen the product the color payoff is great the shade is beautiful kind of fall Vibes purpley brownish color. It is marketed as a creamy lip shaper and it lives up to that! This is a perfect neutral for the office or to start your day, but I would note that I definitely wouldn't say it is long-lasting. Hence the 4 stars. I just like my lip liners to last a little longer than this one did, but they don't promote this product as "24 hour" or another type of endurance liner so that isn't a huge deal. This product does compare pretty well to others I have tried. This tip isn't very narrow/sharp, it is a wider, more rounded tip so it's not as crisp of a line.
