Lancome Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara - 01 Black 10ml

a great mascara!! this was my first time using a lancome mascara and I was NOT disappointed. Still, while this mascara was amazing, I did not think it was as good as the Idole mascara. The formula + brush definitely create drama, volume, and fullness in your lashes. It also lengthens beautifully like the Idole formula and brush, but it doesn’t look as natural and as clean as the Idole mascara. Don’t get me wrong though, I am still going to finish this product and still love it. I am just going to save it for using at night or for special occasions. I would also recommend it if you’re looking for a false-lash look instead of a more natural one. I just prefer a more natural and clean look during the day. So glad I got to try this mascara out in exchange for my review!

I tested out this mascara on my YouTube channel recently (search ‘Chloe Luckin’), and after using for a while, I know exactly how I feel about it. For starters, this mascara makes my lashes look INCREDIBLE! They look so long and as if I’m wearing false lashes! It gets to every lash, makes them thick and long and just looks amazing! My lashes are lengthened for the entire day and it doesn’t drop at all (even after 12 hours of wear), and my lashes don’t feel crispy or heavy either. I absolutely love this mascara for all purposes, but if you have lash extensions this one is definitely for you!!!! It gives me thick, dark, long and voluminous lashes while also being easy to apply. It keeps your lashes separate while still providing length and thickness. It stays on so well, I never have smudge marks under my eyes from the humidity etc. On the rare occasion I forget to remove my makeup, I wake up with my lashes still in perfect condition. Its a long lasting formula without being pesky to remove, soap/water makes it come right off. The formula glides on and doesn’t causing flaking/clumping when adding multiple coats. I use mascara on my lower lashes for pigment length. I do my best to completely avoid getting it anywhere near my lash extensions, but unfortunately residue can transfer from the bottom lashes to the top due to blinking etc. This is the only mascara I’ve found that is reliable but also didn’t leave long term residue on my extensions. I’ve used many other brands that caused a tacky build up near the lash line where the glue is applied, it stuck to it no matter how many times I washed them. That causes bad retention can cause infection over the long term. I’ve NEVER had that issue with this mascara even if there is a slight transfer, it comes right off doesn’t cause harm to my extensions. FOREVER FAV.

As an Asian female, I am blessed with having long eyelashes, but simultaneously cursed by the fact that they are stick straight and do not hold a curl. I was often plagued with the problem of curled eyelashes beginning to droop after less than five minutes, and the weight of any mascara would automatically weigh them down even faster.Frustrated, I went to Sephora, where I was recommended Lancôme's Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara. Usually, I'll use my MakeUp Eraser/a small cotton pad combined with micellar water, and after a bit of scrubbing, it'll usually all be off.This is truly my holy grail mascara product after years of searching, so if you're looking for something that's long-lasting and makes your eyelashes look AMAZING, this is definitely the product for you!

HOWEVER, this is absolutely an exception to that rule. This does it all-- lengthens each lash, adds volume, holds a curl, and lasts a long time. Also important to note is that it doesn't dry out super fast! It's so upsetting when that happens with mascaras you spent a lot of money on. The waterproof version is fantastic for holding a curl, and surprisingly it's not THAT difficult to remove. A good double cleanse--a nice balm and a gentle face cleanser--plus maybe a quick pass over the eyes with a cotton round soaked in micellar water, and you'll be set. It stays on all day, whether at the beach, working in the yard, running- even crying.
