Lancome - Renergie H.C.F. Triple Serum 50ml

I received the Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Serum for free from Influenster and Lancome in exchange for my honest review. I've been using this serum for a full month. I'm usually suspicious of skincare products from luxury makeup brands, having not had luck with either Clinique or Estee Lauder products but this $140 bottle might actually be worth it. Immediately, it does seem to have a reflective nature without a hint of glitter which does add glow to your complexion and very minutely diffuses your fine lines. It absorbs well but does have a brief tackiness so if you don't like wearing primer, I think this might be a good compromise. After a week, I noticed a little bit more "bounce" to my skin and that my skin was maintaining moisture throughout the day more. I have very dry skin and usually use a facial mist halfway through the day but didn't need to do that as frequently. By week 3, some of the fine lines around my eyes/temples had reduced noticeably, like 60%. I have not changed my skincare routine other than this serum and do not use any other anti-aging products so I'm confident the fine line reduction is from this. Now, this serum seems great so far but it's still more than I'd regularly like to pay. I've got some samples of less expensive anti-aging serums that I'm going to try, and if nothing addresses my fine lines as well, I'll probably spring for this (at least in the winter when my skin becomes like the Sahara). I did not see any difference in dark spots but will report if I notice a difference in another 2-4 weeks.

I’ve heard of others experiencing problems with the pumps not all pumping their specific product out all at the same time but I had no issues what so ever by using those methods. The price point is on the higher end, following suit with other luxury brands but if you think about it you do get 3 different serums all in one. I definitely plan to purchase this again and even pair it with other Lancôme products to see intensified results. I can’t wait! Mixing the combined serums in the palm of my hand, I spread the concoction across my skin in gentle sweeps. The texture here was hard to identify, since each compartment seems to have its own - either gel, cream, or emulsion. It was almost as if I was pumping my lotion, serum, and moisturizer into the same hand and applying them at once, instead of sequentially. Personally, I much prefer to apply the components separately, as I believe it gives my skin a chance to properly absorb the benefits of each step before moving on to the next. I felt that the texture was very creamy but also a bit inconsistent due to the serum and emulsion aspects which did not blend as smoothly with the cream as I would have hoped. Still, I did enjoy the fresh and unique sensation of applying this product. There was also an olfactory aspect which I did not expect, which sort of smelled like fresh botanicals and minerals. Overall, this was not for me, but I am intrigued by the concept!

This review may be a bit long but I am going to review everything from the sample request to the shipping, packaging, scent, application and finally the results. I did not/will not receive anything for writing this review, so what you are about to read is my honest opinion in 2,500 characters or less. Upon completing the requirements to receive my sample, I was notified that it would be shipped immediately. As promised, I quickly received my sample. Off the hop, I was not fond of the sample packaging. It consisted of three separate products that you had to mix together by ultimately breaking the inner seal and using your fingers to massage/mix the products together. Once I thought the product was mixed well enough, I dispensed the liquid in my hand as per the directions. At this stage, I found that I still had to do a lot of massaging and swirling with my fingers to mix everything well enough. Now, I am assuming the full size product is not packaged like this, or at least I hope it isn't but now onto the results. I am 43 and I have combination skin. I still struggle with the occasional breakout so I focus strongly on my skin care. Overall, I was pleased with the application. The product felt smooth and silky on my skin and my face immediately felt hydrated. The smell of the serum wasn't to my liking, it reminded me of a body lotion I used when I was a kid called “Kerri”. Its a difficult smell to describe but I do know I am not a fan. If there is a smell to a product I am using, I prefer it to be fresh and luxurious, especially if I am purchasing it at a top price point. I decided not to apply makeup to my face this day, only moisturizer because I wanted to see how the product absorbed and held up throughout the day. I have to hand it to you Lancome, this serum made my face feel hydrated all day without making it look greasy. I do wish I received more than one application so I had a chance to see the effects of this serum over more time. Because this sample is exactly that, a sample, I can only comment on my initial impression and only the immediate results I saw. For any ladies out there that are struggling with signs of aging and dry skin, I would recommend giving this serum a try.
