I always love buying my Liquor from Blackwell's. They always have the Laphroaig 10 that I love at a fantastic price. Their shipping is the best I have ever seen. You have me as a lifelong customer.

If you are looking for a fantastic and definitive peated scotch this is it!! While I find the normal Laphroaig 10 a little one dimensional and overly sweet and thin….the 10 cask strength is just wonderful with added complexity and a great viscous mouthfeel.

This is the kind of whiskey where flavor preference plays a big part in how you would rate it. Personally, this whiskey has way to much peet smoke flavor for my taste. It is hard for me to distinguish the other flavors that make up this whiskey. For people who prefer strong Peet smoke taste to their whiskeys, like my fiancé, they will love this distillery's batches. I would give this Laphroaig 5 stars for the type of whiskey it is and how it is made but I prefer a more subtle peet flavor/smell and to be able to really distinguish the various flavor nuances that go into a whiskey.

Laphroaig was the first whisky that I ever LIKED. Apparently, this Canadian girl has the palate of a 70-year-old Scotsman. It's smoky and peaty, and just incredibly love to taste and smell. It was my gateway whisky, and I used to have a nice little bottle that I brought home from Scotland. If you're a beginner whisky drinker, I would perhaps ask for a taster of this or include is in a flight, as I'm told it's an acquired taste.
A nice neat whiskey with a TCP like aroma. Not to over powering and very easy to drink. Goes particularly well with a mixer. Some Whiskies can be quite punchy and have a strong alcohol smell to them. This is much smoother and softer and the medicine type smell doesn't actually hit you straight away or as bad as some people may think its sounds. I've tried several different whiskies and this one definitely sits up there among the better ones that I've tried. Presentation is really good as well.I'd definitely recommend this product, and will be buying another bottle soon.
Received a free sample of this, and I miust admit, I'm not a massive whisky drinker. However, as it was free, and cold, I gave it a go. My taste is normally mainstream, but you could tell instantly this was made for the serious whisky drinker. On opening, it smelled strong, earthy and peaty, and that's just how it tasted. Definitely different, and I sort of enjoyed one glass, but that was enough for me. However, when a friend who is a committed whisky buff had a taste, he absolutely loved it, and took the bottle. So I guess for Joe average, some will like or loath it, I was somewhere inbetween, but whisky afficiondos will probably love it!
Perfection in a bottle, this whisky is smoky peaty and smooth. Drink it neat or over ice or in cocktails like Manhattans. This is a wonderful whisky a single malt not blended and so pure it’s a delight to drink. Islay distillers are amazing this does not disappoint at all.
This tastes horrible. It has a strong taste of some sort of medical fluid. I manged to take 2 sips and that was enough. However it does have a sweet undertone. So all you get it is a taste of a medical fluid followed by sweetness. I do not recommend this item there are far better Whiskys out there.
This is an acquired taste... A very peaty whisky. The smell is very distinct and smoky, and is pungent enough to smell as soon as you open the bottle. It is all dependent on personal taste, but I would suggest this whisky is more suited to experienced whisky drinkers, who like a really strong peaty drink. As a mixer this could be nice but I enjoy drinking my whiskey neat, and unfortunately this one doesn’t do it for me. I revived this as a free sample.
You will either instantly hate it or love. One of my favourites of all time. It may take a while to appreciate the flavour of the peat and smoke because it has bags of it. Stick with it and it will be a good old friend for a long time. The most flavoursome of whiskies and it lives up to its name. Don't spoil it with ice this whisky likes to be at room temperature to unleash all that flavour
