The 32 inch Halo Compact Reflector, Sunfire/Soft Silver from Lastolite was created for image makers who want to travel light while taking full advantage of ambient light or minimal lighting gear to produce polished work. Able to set up in seconds, the Halo is built around a collapsible, rigid metal frame to which the reversible Sunlite/Soft Silver reflector material is attached. The Sunlite surface combines gold and silver stripes for a slightly warmer reflective tone than full silver, ideal for warming skin tones. It also compliments and enhances warm, golden hour sunlight. On the reverse, the Soft Silver surface is made up of fine white and silver stripes, providing an extra fill with a little more punch than plain white, but without being overpowering.The supporting ring has a large, ergonomic handle that makes for a secure, comfortable grip when holding the Halo at an angle or overhead. For the breakdown footprint alone, this reflector is worth the price. The quality of thr material and the workmanship are first class.My only negative is that taking this thing apart is a major chore. It stretches so tight to the frame, that you could really loose skin off your fingers, undoing the clips. I may call Manfrotto, to see if there is an easier way to do this. Setting it up is a breeze, but I literally dread having to take it apart.

Delving more into portraits and weddings I can't believe I've not had this reflector in my life. Mostly using the soft silver at the moment, it's compact, easy to use and every can be mounted on my tripod. Perfect.

I really like the product and the light reflected is very soft - not overpowering at all. When disassembled it's very compact and about the size of a tri-folded umbrella. As other people have stated, placing the fabric on can be tough because of the plastic clips. The plastic clips do seem like the kind that will break if not being careful. Otherwise, the size and ease were exactly what I was looking for.
