I have a really hard time finding deodorants and tend to sweat a LOT. Despite this, recently I have been trying to use more natural deodorants. I received a sample of and absolutely love it! It's a clinical-strength deodorant that is 100% natural, safe, and effective. It smells great too! I've been using this deodorant for about 4 years now and I LOVE it. It is the best aluminum free deodorant I've ever tried. That having been said, there are a lot of tricks I use to make it work for me. There is no doubt that Dove performs better than any natural deodorant on the market (which is what I used before switching), and I'm sure you've already learned that it can take weeks for your body to adjust (your pits will go through an increased stinky period when you first start using ANY aluminum free deodorant) but you have to power through... which is why my first tip is to make the switch in winter when it's cold and less humid... you will sweat less and stink less... It used to give me a rash too (really any natural deodorant I tried would give me a rash) and I finally figured it out... if you apply this to freshly shaved underarms it just seems to irritate the snot out of them... so for a while there I would try and skip deodorant for a day if I'd just shaved, or I would just use my trusty old Dove for that one day. It took some time of bouncing back and forth but I can now wear this DO after shaving without any irritation or "breakouts". That kind of ties into my next time... you really don't have to be "all or nothing" when switching. I still keep a tube of Dove around for days where I really need the sweat protection (mainly for days where I will be spending a lot of time outside around other people... think beach, zoo etc.). Also, natural deodorants don't help with sweat (they aren't meant to... they are meant to help with stink) so if you are a sweaty beast and still want to switch, consider toting around a small thing of wipes in your purse to freshen up, as well as reaplying your deodorant. I know this seems like a lot so why bother but if it is important to you to make this switch then you'll probably have to put some work in. It gets better, it just takes time. P.S. you can find these for half off at TJ Maxx and Marshals. I've paid full price and it's worth it to me, but I also stock up if I can find them for $6 and the discount ones have always been just as good as the ones I've paid full price for.

The first thing I noticed was this did not smell anything like passion fruit to me, it smells powdery; which I hate. The scent grew on me and didn’t linger much. I like that this deodorant applies fairly smooth and doesn’t leave white marks. As for odour protection, I’ll add that I am probably smellier than the average woman but, as soon as any type of activity or heat happens, this deo stops working. This isn’t ideal as its a humid, hot summer in Toronto Canada right now. I’ve used this for about 2 weeks and have been using natural deodorant for probably 10 years so a “detox” period is not needed for me. Yes it has a bit of a price tag for deodorant but it WORKS. Granted what has helped me was making sure I washed my underarms thoroughly in between uses to help but wow, I could smell good for about two days even with mild/moderate sweating. This scent is wonderful and fresh, although it says vanilla, it’s not a heavy and overly sweet vanilla. It almost smells like skin mixed with musky light vanilla. With the added passion fruit it gives it a zest, a citrusy kind of sharp kick and it’s delightful! It’s feminine but not in your face. I absolutely hate aluminum deodorants and so I strive to find aluminum-free deodorants, however, I have very sensitive skin and I’ve learned that most of them break me out in an awful rash. Rashes suck but especially in the armpit lol. This one does NOT break me out but instead makes me stinky. For the longest time I didn’t struggle with body odor but recently I have been, and this deodorant doesn’t help. It smells good itself, but I learned that it makes me extra smelly somehow. It does not mask my BO but instead makes it worse. I really wanted to love it but it fails as a deodorant

Evening deodorant

Ironically, I purchased this deodorant on a whim, for areas other than my underarms. I live in sweaty Arizona, and my go to deodorant is always a clear gel. Natural deodorants have never worked on me, which is why I wasn't planning on using this the way it was intended. However, I started using this deodorant on my underarms in the evenings after a shower, and it's surprisingly held up. Other natural deodorants have gone sour on me following the next day. But this was not the case with this product. Mid day lounging around the house I decided to give it a smell test, and to my surprise I smelled like nothing. Didn't even need to reapply that morning. FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR ANTIPERPIRANT - NATURAL IS NOT FOR YOU

However I have done a of of natural deodorants and do not mistake it for antiperspirants. Don't expect a natural deodorant to keep you from sweating. People choose these alternative natural "deodorants" to do just that KEEP AWAY ODOR and that's it. You will still sweat as many think that is healthy to remove toxins from your body. Many may disagree, but regardless this is why there are natural deodorants, not natural antiperspirants. There are no natural ingredients that equal aluminum based antiperspirants. Just choose one that's right for your own body chemistry and go from there. If you want to not sweat then use the regular ... MoreI am a cosmetic chemist. Favorite deodorant

This is my absolute favorite deodorant. I always use the Pure Vanilla scent and it smells amazing and leaves my clothes smelling like vanilla. I’ve tried lavender vanilla in another brand and felt like the mix smelled great but didn’t mix with my body chemistry and left me smelling more like bad BO so I have t tried this brand. I like the probiotic one, it’s a little soapy smelling but worked great. The sport Lux works! It does leave like a residue on your skin but whatever that is must help it work in extra sweaty situations. I read thru some of these reviews and was surprised at peoples reaction saying the deodorant stinks. But everyone’s noses are different and body chemistry is different. Give it a shot and see if you like it.

Nice but doesn’t work for me

I bought a small size of this to try on my very sensitive skin, I’ve been using a powder deo because everything else irritated my skin, even bicarb free.This, although solid, goes on kind of dry and powdery (without the mess) which was interesting, but once you sweat it turns white against your skin, didn’t love that. It smells nice, like a unisex woody citrus scent, which I liked, but it is quite strong (I could still smell the scent after showering). Unfortunately though it did nothing to take away the sweat smell, the fragrance just mixed with the sweat and made me smell worse somehow than if I wasn’t wearing any deodorant…So, good for skin, bad for b.o.

Works great for me - better than Toms!

I love the scent of this deodorant along with their lavender and lavender eucalyptus scents. In the summer my underarms can feel wet from sweat (this is a deodorant, NOT an anti-perspirant) but even then I've never had put stains or a smell. However, it is worth noting that I have never had pit stains when I used to wear the Dove anti-perspirant.The reason this is better than Toms, for me, is because this is the only natural deodorant that makes my underarms look BETTER, just like Dove use to. It seems to sooth razor burn under my arms and helps keep any darker shadow look away. This also lasts more than a full day where Toms lasted until about 11pm.
