It makes good coffee and I love the frothy milk however considering the glowing reviews I was surprised to find what I would consider to be a few flaws in the design: 1) It can only hold 4-5 capsules before the drawer is full and the drawer is not transparent so you just have to remember to empty it every day or two. It would be better if the drawer were see-through (like my old Lavazza coffee machine.) 2) The platform for the cup only fits a small (eg espresso) cup so you need to remove it if you want to use a (still fairly small) mug. 3) There are 2 levels for the milk, "milk" and "foam" however these are marked inside the container in its dark lining and very difficult to see. It would be easier if the levels were visible from the outside. Stunning coffee machine. Pretty much Napoli-cafe quality coffee every time. If you forget the eco-washing UK retail "compostable pods" and get Italian wholesale market ones direct from importer you A. save money and B get the better taste because for me the UK compostable ones just do not taste as good. Also, since household refuse goes to energy recovery anyway in the UK, it's not an eco issue for the vast majority. I would recommend getting proper porcelain coffee cups and warm them first , especially if you are having neat espresso. The best pod by far if you want proper Italian cafe coffee is the passionale. Very easy to use, especially if you don't want the hassle and fuss of grinding up beans, and if you are only making a coffee treat for one or two people. The good thing about this version is that the milk frother already comes installed with it, so you can make your cappucinos easily. The Lavazza pods are also recyclable, so a bonus for the environment. If you want a larger cup of coffee, I would recommend using two pods. My only criticism is that the milk frother could heat the milk to a higher temperature. Otherwise, it's an excellent little coffee machine that is simple, smart and effective to use.

This neat little machine makes perfect espresso and cappuccino quickly and easily. The espresso comes out slowly ensuring that there is strength and crema on top of your coffee. While it only uses Lavazza pods, with a wide experience of many coffee makers over the years, this is by far the best coffee in a pod. I now prefer it to my ground cafetière coffee because it is clean and strong. The frothier is great and ensures that your milk is frothed all the way through. Brilliant machine.
Absolutely brilliant machine. Just love it. Easy to use, nice and simple and produces excellent coffee. I'm a lover of cappuccinos and lattes, and it makes perfect milk for each. Just two clicks for a latte. I couldn't be without it. Love that the pods are compostable too, which is important to me. Eco friendly (I bought the caps/pods from JL too). Fits well in my kitchen, doesn't take up much room but looks good. You can make the milk and coffee at the same time without loosing the heat so both milk and coffee is ready at the same time. Much prefer this to my previous coffee machine . It's quiet, doesn't leak (like a previous much more expensive make) and makes good coffee. Only minor problem I have is that the tank is at the back - easy to spill water when filling unless you take the tank out every time; but then most if not all coffee machines of this type are like this. And the coffee is actually hot, again, unlike my previous coffee machine. Pods are now widely available major supermarkets, including decaf. Would recommend this.

Came with 9 selections of eco caps (another great idea for the planet) and everyone of them was delicious with a splash of vanilla syrup, husband liked them all and loves the milk froth on top and can't get enough of them. So easy to clean as most of the parts are dishwasher safe which is a thumbs up and the black and white blends in well with our other items and is very smart on our kitchen worktop and does not at all take up much space which is a bonus. It makes great coffee and ticked all my requirements. Whilst Nespresso offers literally hundreds of pod flavours and other pods can be used in some of their machines, 6 flavours which include a decaffeinated one is good enough for me. I still haven't managed to work out how to make the different milk frother functions work - as there is an option to warm the milk without the froth i.e. press the button twice which just turns it off. Also, sometimes pods can fall straight through instead of releasing the coffee, but they can be retrieved and put through again. The container that catches the used pods is small and cannot take more that 4 pods. I only discovered this after the 5th pod was used and then got caught inside. A bit of a struggle getting them out - so remember to empty the container after every couple of uses. I recommend Lavazza coffee and this machine
