I was going to buy ready lawn but had a friend who had used this 'Seed and Feed' Sun and Shade from Bunnings so she recommended I give it a whirl. I am SO GLAD I did! I planted it smack bang in the middle of winter and had a good looking lawn 6 weeks later. 8 weeks later it looks amazing, had its first mow and I am so happy and so glad I went with this over ready lawn re the price and the lawn I would have got, this is so much nicer! I used more than recommended as I wanted a really good coverage, and that is what I got :)

Everything was looking promising & we ended up with a lovely very soft green lawn but it didn't last long even though we followed all the instructions - it will have to be completely replaced as it all died offDefinitely not suitable for sun & shade which is what we had

Sowed the seeds 2 weeks ago and already the lawn is starting to grow in even in the slightly more shaded areas. Highly recommend this product. Just make sure to follow instructions and keep soil moist.
The box doenst tell you this but variety of grass this grows is couch (which is invasive to buffalo). Now I have to try to kill / remove huge patches of invasive couch from my lawn. Thanks for nothing.
Here is my review after going through all 4 seasons. The picture speaks for itself. I’m a little sad this didn’t work 100% as when it works, it’s a beautiful colour, texture & density, with little to no weeds. The right side of the pic gets lots of shade. The left gets full sun from sunrise to sunset. It started dying off quickly as the weather heated up. So I put my efforts into keeping it moist (not soaking) to no avail. Ignore the centre of the lawn - it’s the original & recently installed strips of Buffalo grass (in the hopes of fixing the mess eventually). The left was to fill along where edging was installed. The right was a larger patch that had sunken & I added soil and sun & shade seeds to. Great product. Have very tall trees around my garden giving lots of shade but not so good for the grass growing but seed has do w what it says, Sun and SHADE

Unbelievable soft grass comes up within days of sow. I have purchased these seeds before from Bunnings Minchinbury n they are awesome. The grass is perfect for shade n the minimal sun I receive in my courtyard. Once I establish the lawn I shall add to this review with photos. These seeds also have a building component in with them the delivery driver was attentive to carrying these into my home along with a excellent push mower Victa. The cost for delivery is in budget when purchasing n no means of transport or family to assist. Thankyou Bunnings.
This seed took quite a while to germinate but now that it’s established the lawn is lush and green. Will wait to see how it survives during summer.
