If you think this logo looks kind of familiar, that's because Lay's is the original company from which Walkers crisps comes from. Lay's original spokesperson, American actor Bert Lahr (sort of like an original Gary Lineker), appeared in the first ever TV ad by a food manufacturer. Google him, you may recognise him from The Wizard of Oz. If not, you really need to watch The Wizard of Oz, it's a classic. Just be sure to tuck into a tub of these cleverly stacked original flavour potato chips whilst you do so.

I'm disappointed that Stax are no longer on the shelves at my local stores, even Albertsons...all they have are Pringle which are way too thin and taste weird. My husband is so fond of them he eats them with his lunch every day. I decided to upcycle the lids and the result is awesome! The windmills turned out amazing! Also use the entire container to carry fragile crackers, etc on road trips and carry-ons when flying. Upcycle takes less energy than recycle! Thank you so much, just wish original Stax were easier to find: /

Our local Smith's (Kroger's) had a sale on Lay's Stax. I was excited to try them based on reviews I had read. I stocked up on 5 containers (2 original, 2 cheddar, 1 salt & vinegar) for an upcoming party. Good thing I had the forethought to taste-test the products. Each and every container was at least 50% broken chips! They tasted fine, but certainly not usable for company. I can't believe quality control across the supply chain would have yielded such disappointing procuts on the shelves.
