Le Creuset Heritage Covered Rectangular Dish 33cm Cerise

I have 3 merengue coloured pieces. This piece is not the same colour which breaks the set. It’s a more a pure white colour without the cream overlay. I wish it was properly advertised. Also the top isn’t fitting the vessel well and I almost wonder if the wrong top was sent in another colour. Not sure.

Great colors! Great value! Bought 3 one for me and two for gifts!. I still love everything about this “Le Creuset” casserole covered dish, but I think it’s a “Le Creuset “ style dish and not a genuine French Le Creuset,. I have a Le Creuset Dutch Oven which has the words “Le Creuset “embossed into the ceramic . But it performs like the? Real Le Creuset. I’m not sure. But don’t let that stop your purchase because it’s a great covered casserole dish.

I love this dish so much! The color is an absolutely beautiful green, and the little handle on top gives it a touch of whimsy that I think is just too cute for words! Le creuset is a classic brand, and for good reason. Everything of theirs I own is super high quality, and I will purchase their items and add to my collection for the rest of my life.

I began collecting Le Creuset baking/cooking pieces well over a decade ago. I received a Le Creuset Heritage Rectangular Covered Casserole dish from my mother-in-law as a Christmas present. Although my favorite color is blue and all of the Le Creuset in my collection up to that point was blue--she gave this casserole to me in orange. My guess is that she picked it up at the Le Creuset outlet store. It is fine. I wouldn't have chosen orange but the color certainly doesn't affect its performance. This covered casserole dish and lid are enameled which makes for easy cleaning by hand or in the dishwasher. You also don't have to worry about the handle on the top because it is also enameled cast iron and not rubber like you find on the company's French ovens. I've used this casserole dish to make baked pasta dishes like lasagna, manicotti, stuffed shells, and macaroni and cheese. Most of the time, though, I use it to make and serve roasted vegetables like carrots with thyme or green bean casserole from scratch. I don't use this covered casserole as often as I should or as I used to for 2 reasons: 1) I am usually only cooking for 1 so I don't need such a large dish and 2) it winds up down at the bottom of the cabinet buried underneath all sorts of other things I can use instead. Still it is a great addition to my collection and something that people cooking regularly for a family or who regularly entertain will find very useful. I highly recommend it.

Awesome square dish in lovely colours

Love my new square oven dish. The size is just great and wonderful for all of my winter casseroles. I can easily feed 3-4 people with a decent appetite. The height of this square dish is really good, not too shallow, so you have no fear of overflowing. There is room to put a piece of foil on top (without touching the food) to prevent your food from getting too brown on top too quickly . Absolutely love this square this in a lovely blue colour

Beautiful piece of stoneware to cook/serve from

This lovely piece of stoneware can be used at a wide range of temperatures, allowing you to cook food covered at a moderate temperature, turn up the heat to brown the top, serve it and then put it in the fridge or freezer afterwards. It looks great! I usually buy the Le Creuset enamelled cast iron pots because they are so tough and beautiful. However, I bought this stoneware dish because of its convenient size and lid. I'm being careful with it because I have read online that the stoneware series can chip or scratch easily and did get some scratches/tiny chips in a new Le Creuset stoneware plate.

Excellent Quality But Not As Expected

I ordered this in Sea Salt, but when it arrived, it was actually light blue. Very disappointed in the color. I have another piece in ?Sea Salt,? and it was the same. I had ordered this dish for Thanksgiving, so I kept it.This ?Square Baker? is actually higher on the sides, much more like a deep casserole, than a baking dish. I did not realize or see the depth given, when I ordered it. I will probably not use it for baking, but it works well as an oven-to-table casserole or serving dish for foods, such as mashed potatoes or pastas.Le Creuset?s quality remains the same - unbeatable - but I was personally disappointed in

It's everything you'd expect from Le Creuset brand

This is a great casserole dish! It's so strong and sturdy and love that it came with a lid, it's the perfect size for everything. The color is exactly as shown in the picture. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5, just because it just came in and we haven't used it yet, but super excited to!

Le Creuset quality declining

I already own this and bought it as a Xmas gift for my sister in law. It arrived wrapped in paper and foam — no box — in a Bloomie’s bag inside a battered box. The lid was not even and did not fit properly. Returned. I bought my first Le Creuset pot in the 90/ while living in Europe. Without a doubt the quality of their products has suffered with the growth of their popularity in the US, which is such a shame.

We needed a 2-person casserole/lasagne

We needed a 2-person casserole/lasagne dish and this has proved ideal. We have also used it for Shepherd's Pie and a couple of similar dishes where we need high sides, but not large volume. We are careful to heat and cool gradually because we understand earthenware is more sensitive than the other Creuset products.
