Le Creuset Mini Casserole 9cm Nectar

I love these little pots. They're perfect for serving little side dishes or individual portions (they hold about one cup). I use two for salt and pepper. I know there are salt crocks out there but I live in a dusty city and dust gets everywhere so I like all my condiments/food covered up. This makes a great condiment pot as well!

This was my first time trying out Le Creuset’s products. I made a delicious garlic confit with it. I plan on buying more, so I can bake multiple dishes at once. It matches perfectly with my red convection oven as well. You can bake just about anything in that pot as long as it fits. Mine was their 14 oz mini cocotte.

Beauty meets utility

We do a lot of batch cooking and portion storage and reheating and nine times out of ten are using basic glass storage to refrigerate and reheat. Kind of bleak and clinical. Decided to give these a go for a good portion size fridge-to-oven vessel and couldn?t be more delighted ? they have all the even-heating, edge-crisping qualities of a good ceramic cocotte, and the glazes are so pretty, they can come directly to table where the mellow colors just cheer me up immensely!

Cutest little Creuset

I bought two as Christmas gifts, the red and grey. they are so cute and the recipients were so pleased. One used it for fancy salt and the other bakes small cheese appetizers in it. Makes a great gift for Le Creuset lovers!

Disappointing at the smaller than advertised size

I was excited to try a Le Creuset and see if the prices were really worth it. While it's clearly beautifully made, I'm pretty disappointed in the tiny size. It did have the dimensions listed online, which I compared to my current small crocks. However, they used measurements that include the lid and handle. The part that would hold food is not big enough for soup, even just for one. It's big enough for some warm dip or cheese for one -- but I typically would be going through the trouble of making that stuff for more than just one. So, not really sure what I'll use this for now. Without regular use, I'm not going to truly be able to see how Le Creuset holds up to other brands.

Mini-cocotte

Maybe because I have seen these in person prior to buying, I was not surprised at the size. These can be used for cooking and directly serving individual dishes that require baking or look better served in a pot that also keeps the item warm while eating it. I am not that ambitious of a cook, (maybe if I had help that including the cleanup washing) but I plan to use this, besides having a nice display item to keep near the stove as a salt cellar. I got this color (Flame) because of its nice bright color. I brought two of these in two different colors.

Much smaller than anticipated

From the dimensions given, I expected these to be much larger than they are. Very well packaged and boxed, they arrived in perfect condition. These might be OK for an d'oeuvre tray but they are simply too small to hold an adequate serving. I see why they were so inexpensive.

Not made in France!

Would have loved to purchase several, however these are made in China, and I do not purchase any cooking or baking items from China.I am becoming disheartened by Le Creuset having many of their formerly strictly France made cookware made in China. I will only continue to purchase this once gold standard cookware if their products are made in France.

Perfect size for baked eggs

We love these, and bought them specifically for making indvidual baked egg recipes. They are the perfect size. They are also great for individual portions of turkey meatloaf. I can't wait to try them for fruit cobbler!

Perfectly sized for so many things!

These are perfectly sized for so many things! I love to make individual pies, soups, cobblers, sauce for seafood boil dipping, etc! They’re great for portioning left overs, and even better because you can take them out of the fridge and pop them right in the oven to reheat! Trust me, you NEED these. Several of these.
