It's cute! 8 ounces is small. It's hard to imagine untill you see it, but all the size info was provided. I planned to use it to roast garlic and it will fit a head easily maybe two cramped. I can't speak to the cooking outcome yet. Many reviews are posted before adequate use, so perhaps for other creuset cooking items i purchased, I will wait till I've whipped up several dishes. I am excited to own and use such highly rated cookware and think my expectations will be met.

These Le Creuset in the color Palm are so beautiful and so tiny! I absolutely love them for making mini pies. I really want to get them in every color at this point. I can use these in the microwave, oven and stove top, however with how small they are I will stick to the oven and a possible microwave here and their. Literally think miniature Dutch Oven! I would definitely recommend these high quality mini Cocotte’s for anyone who love mini things. Like pot pies, pies, individual servings of soups…whatever is your mind can come up with. Also their are hundreds of recipes to use with these pans on Pinterest as well.

This was my first time trying out Le Creuset’s products. I made a delicious garlic confit with it. I plan on buying more, so I can bake multiple dishes at once. It matches perfectly with my red convection oven as well. You can bake just about anything in that pot as long as it fits. Mine was their 14 oz mini cocotte.

Adorable but not very functional

Bought two in Chambray. Super cute but tiny. Not really functional for cooking since so small. I use them for individual servings of homemade garlic butter when i serve bread. And once I served ranch dip in it alongside a veggie tray. I bought them on sale as a splurge and am pleased with them but their purpose is limited.

Beauty meets utility

We do a lot of batch cooking and portion storage and reheating and nine times out of ten are using basic glass storage to refrigerate and reheat. Kind of bleak and clinical. Decided to give these a go for a good portion size fridge-to-oven vessel and couldn?t be more delighted ? they have all the even-heating, edge-crisping qualities of a good ceramic cocotte, and the glazes are so pretty, they can come directly to table where the mellow colors just cheer me up immensely!

Disappointing at the smaller than advertised size

I was excited to try a Le Creuset and see if the prices were really worth it. While it's clearly beautifully made, I'm pretty disappointed in the tiny size. It did have the dimensions listed online, which I compared to my current small crocks. However, they used measurements that include the lid and handle. The part that would hold food is not big enough for soup, even just for one. It's big enough for some warm dip or cheese for one -- but I typically would be going through the trouble of making that stuff for more than just one. So, not really sure what I'll use this for now. Without regular use, I'm not going to truly be able to see how Le Creuset holds up to other brands.

Love Them!

Such fun little cocottes. I love them and all my Le Creuset products—they all are irresistible for their high quality, functionality and, being an antiquarian, the history and design of the cook and bakeware holds great appeal to me... so of course my favourite colour is "Flame" orange. Next on my wishlist is the bread oven! Merci beaucoup Le Creuset!

Mini round Cocotte

I must say I'm disappointed in the quality of this product. It is verry light compared to other brands of cocottes I have. Without exaggeration it weighs less then half the weight of competitors. The item has a fragile feel to it, the lid is so dainty it doese not offer a tight seal. I purchased a teal mini cocotte as it was being discontinued and would have chose to return it if it wasn't 40% off. Most certainly is not worth the price it's sold for.

Perfect for what I use it as…

Listen. Let’s be honest. It’s rare one needs to cook/bake such a tiny meal/bread roll at most! The reason I bought this item is because of it’s adorable size (and color). It makes the perfect pop of orange accent to my otherwise mostly white kitchen and I love it. I use it daily as my butter dish. Perfect size for this!!! I smile every time I take off the lid it’s so cute.

Perfectly sized for so many things!

These are perfectly sized for so many things! I love to make individual pies, soups, cobblers, sauce for seafood boil dipping, etc! They’re great for portioning left overs, and even better because you can take them out of the fridge and pop them right in the oven to reheat! Trust me, you NEED these. Several of these.
