This is by far the best non-stick pan I have ever owned - Le Creuset once again did not disappoint. It is really lightweight, doesn't need any additional oil, is easy to clean and heats evenly. I followed the instructions of cleaning in warm soapy water, drying immediately and then oiling the pan with vegetable oil on a kitchen towel and leaving it until the next use. I have been seasoning it this way weekly, and it seems to be working wonders. Wish I'd found this pan before going through several others which were slightly cheaper in price, but terrible quality. Do yourself a favour and slash out on this from the outset.

However I had never used their non-stick variety, so was hoping it would live up to its reputation. It did not fail to deliver. I used it on my gas hob for cooking pancakes and omelettes and both were cooked evenly and efficiently. Because the heat distribution was so effective, it meant whipping up a batch of perfectly cooked pancakes was a breeze.It is dishwasher safe and was easy to wash up by hand due to its non-stick surface. I'm a passionate cook and thought I'd treat myself to one of these thinking given the brand's heritage and price it would be good quality and last a long time. How wrong was I, the first pan was great at first but started losing the non stick after about 18 months (average usage). I really looked after it, always cooking on a low to medium heat, no use of metal utensils, not put in the dishwasher/oven (even though you can). Took it back exchanged for another one (John Lewis were very understanding and resolved the issue quickly). Same thing happened again within a similar time frame. Needless to say It's going straight back and I won't be getting another one. I've had pans ranging from £4 - £25 that have lasted way longer with similar usage. Don't waste your money.
I have many Le Creuset pans which have mostly lasted very well. My recent frying pan is excellent and I still use the older one (15 years) but with olive oil. Everything wears out in the end, but the Le Creuset pans seem to me to be very good, having tried many others over the years. But, they are expensive and that has to be taken into account.

Quality wise I can't fault it, it's a solidly built pan which appears like it's going to last decades. Out of the box during first use the non-stick coating worked perfectly which allowed me to use very little oil, I dare say you could dry fry in it and the food wouldn't stick at all. This obviously helps cleaning up which only takes a quick wash round with a soapy sponge, no elbow grease required. Obviously can't comment on the longevity of the non-stick coating at this point but all good so far after a fair few meals. I use an induction hob and electric ovens and have used the pan for full English fried breakfasts, browning meat for casseroles, chicken and pasta dishes.Its non-stick properties mean that you can leave the pan gently simmering on the hob without too much loss of liquid and afterwards it is very easy to wash out.
