I, like many other reviewers here, have experienced the same problem with these pans. The edges have chipped away quite severely. We're a family of three so I wouldn't say we would create excessive use, and like all expensive, 'quality' products I buy for the kitchen, I always take care of how I clean and store them.I also had the milk pan, but it deteriorated so badly I had to throw it away.I have contacted Le Creuset because a friend reminded me about the lifetime guarantee, but based on the other reviews here, I don't hold out much hope.Very disappointed.

I already have a frying pan and wok in the same non-stick range and know how good these products are. I have been waiting to get a deal on the saucepans as they are very expensive, so when I saw them in a sale at John Lewis I had to dig deep and buy them. I've not been let down with the quality. I do look after them very well and never put them in the dishwasher, so they are still as good as new a few months later. I was concerned about some reviews saying that if you stack them the non stick coating can chip, so I make sure not to do this.Only time will tell of their long term durability.

Bought these three years ago and within a year the coating started to come off where the lid sits - on all three pans. Otherwise the pans are fine and look good. It's as if the way the lid sits on these pans that causes damage, which shouldn't really happen. Like other reviewers I also hand wash these and look after them. I don't plan to go through the faff of claiming on the warranty - from what I gather from otherreviews they'll somehow conclude it's all my fault. I also have the stainless steel signature pans and they're much better. I'd recommend those, certainly not these.

Loved buying these to compliment new kitchen four years ago. Bought this set plus frying pan and now after four years only the frying pan remains in sound condition. The other pans have chipped and damaged so much around the rims and inside that they are now close to unusable. We are a busy household of six who cook most days but still considering the high purchase price the pans should last longer.Avoid--pretty sure that you can do better with another brand.
Absolutely love these saucepans, we saved our wedding money up for these and as predicted Le Creuset have not disappointed. We already have some of the cast iron items and wanted a bit of a mix, the handles are great as they don't conduct the heat of the pan, even the little one which is useful as I struggle with my weak wrists when trying to drain water. They're a lovely colour, so easy to use and clean and work perfectly on our ceramic hob. One thing to mention is there aren't any holes in the lids for steam venting but we're quite happy tilting the lid to allow for this. Another great set of products from our favourite cookware brand
Bought these about a year ago, everyone told me to avoid because they were so heavy. I didn't mind that, each one has a helper handle so I'm ok. What I don't like about them is that the non stick coating wears off over time, most of my food now sticks to the bottom (I haven't been putting them in the dishwasher). Also when I first bought them I had a gas hob, I've changed to induction and even though they do work, they take longer than my other non Le C pans to heat up, it's like the materials used is too thick and is preventing the induction from working effectively. All in all, definitely not worth the money.
We got these pans 10 years ago for our wedding anniversary, I'm now looking at JL again to replace the pan set and thought I'd now leave a review. Within months of using, the non-stick coating on each pan chipped around the rim. Soon they were chipped all over, over time the interior coating of the pan has come off. We only ever use silicone spoons, we wash the pans carefully and store individually with the lids on. Thoroughly disappointing - I remember trying to use the guarantee when it first happened to be turned down. Avoid these pans!!
These pots come as described - I read various reviews toale sure I was getting high quality non stick cooking with a weighty base. The pans deliver. They're non-stick, heavy, and best of all they clean easily in the dishwasher and by hand. Only downside is lack of a lid for the large pan but it's easily forgotten with a pleasant cooking experience.
I already have the casserole and wok in the same range, which I keep on shelves and I never considered that stacking the saucepans might cause damage. Soon realised that throwing the saucepans into a drawer as I did with my stainless steel saucepans would mean they wouldn't last as long and that they do need a little more care. So ended up purchasing a wall rack to hang them up! Wall rack though looks great. I have an induction hob and these saucepans tend to hold the heat longer. So not as instant when you turn down the heat. Never really noticed in the wok or casseroles as typically you don't simmer in those. Also I think you need less induction heat to get them to temperature, so potential saving on electric bill! Otherwise exactly the same as my wok and ... MoreI already have the casserole and wok in the same range, which I keep on shelves and I never considered that stacking the saucepans might cause damage. A little heavier than my old saucepans so maybe consider that as well.
I've had my saucepan set for 12 months now. Like other reviewers I've also had 'flaking' and don't really know why. However they are the best saucepans you can buy. Can't praise them enough. I also have other saucepans I use but they are useless in comparison. The flaking hasn't effected their performance in any way. Also love that they do have a lifetime guarantee if there's any problems looking their non stick. I strongly recommend these pans.
