I was a bit disappointed by this. I was hoping it was smaller. It is a pretty large and heavy knife/tool to carry everyday. This would be fantastic for camping, hiking and/or hunting. Or in lieu of carrying a full-sized Leatherman. But for an everyday all day carry knife this is not a comfortable choice.Again, the quality of this knife/tool is by far top notch, just not what I was looking for.

The K4x is excellent. A very well made, heavy duty construction. The main partially serrated blade is razor sharp out of the box. This is probably my favourite, of the new Leatherman Free series. A high quality knife with the added bonus of other useful tools... scissors work well.A little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.
I was a bit disappointed by this. I was hoping it was smaller. It is a pretty large and heavy knife/tool to carry everyday. This would be fantastic for camping, hiking and/or hunting. Or in lieu of carrying a full-sized Leatherman. Great multi purpose knife. No need for mods or upgrades, a little grease on the knife would help make it smoother. Some rough machining/ finishes here and there but nothing that compromises function or aesthetic.
I did not realize how big my hands were until I bought this. Before I decided on this knife I watched videos of this knife being described as big, hefty and many more which may be true for a person with a regular size hands, but not for me. Don’t get me wrong, I like it, but I compared the size of my Opinel No.12 and this felt like its little brother. Anyways, I will surely enjoy it still.
This is an excellent tool. I previously bought the k2 and swapped the straight edged blade from that to the k4 as i dont like the serrations that came on the blade with this particular k4. Now it is ideal imho. Decent selection of simple tools. Leatherman does a decent job with the heat treatment on their 420 stainless so the knife holds a good edge. I would definitely recommend this.
I bought this pocket knife recently which has a decent size knife and additional tools at the bottom. The knife itself is quite sharp and the material used for the handle has a nice texture to it. Overall, I recommend this product for camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities when such tools may be come handy.
The ease of use on this knife blade is fantastic! Rest of the tools just bonus for the money worth. Best knife blade of entire Leatherman tools in my opinion.
Really pleased with the knife. Very sharp and so far keeping its edge. I use it round the house and garden. The size of the knife is just right for me and the one-handed opening of the blade makes for ease of use.I have used the scissors to cut up an old motorcycle inner- tube and they cut cleanly.I haven’t found any faults with the knife so far.Best knife I have had for years.
This is first pocket knife and so do not have anything to compare it to. Even though I have small hands, it feels very easy to handle and I can get a firm grip. However the extra tools require more effort than the push of your thumb. That’s okay though as I will be using the knife mostly and occasionally the scissors.
