Just getting into this crypto malaki, everyone on the YouTube recommend the use of a hardware wallet for safe cold storage of your Crypto. I opted for the Nano S 3pack. I have split my crypto across the Nano 3 wallets for maybe more security. I'm only a small tiddler fish but one day I'll be a whale, with my 3 Nano S's. Easy set up of the wallets most difficult part is getting to understand some of the unsupported chains are still support by ledger but you can't view them in the ledger live app at the moment e.g. Harmony One.I'm lovin Ledger. Now where to store my seed phrases, MUM!

The hardware wallet helps for sure to keep my investment safe. Nevertheless it was not transparent to me before buying it, that there are still quite some restrictions when it comes to buying, selling and also sending and receiving cryptos from A to B and vice versa. Probably this will change in the future.I also was not aware of the limitations of the Ledger S. If I would have know how limited the possibilities are to store more than a few ETH coins I would have directly bought a Ledger X.Overall I enjoy having it and will watch the development of the services of Ledger.

Overall, I find the Ledger Nano S to be a great device to store my cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and other crypto-related assets. It is much safer to use a device like this than to have the key phrase stored on my computer and risk it getting lost or stolen. As long as you KEEP YOUR PRIVATE KEY EXTRA SAFE and you are still taking measures to prevent scams, this device would satisfy much of your crypto security needs. I would also suggest making sure to have everything backed up and not keep all of your crypto assets in one place in case if anything were to happen.
Hello, my recent purchase went great. The process and execution were great. I follow that with, BUT, because I have experienced a malfunction with one of my Ledger Nano Ss.I have purchased three separate three-packs of Nano Ss. I have been using four of the Nanos and plan to gift the others. The malfunction occurred with one from the first or second purchase. It had been in use for several months before the problem developed. One day, the right button stopped working. It wasn't frozen, it's just that pressing the button had no effect. The left button worked fine.I've tried reconnecting it several times over several different days, for what that's worth.Is there something you can recommend to correct the problem?Thank you, Bob
Good value for the money; it does the job if your objective is to hold your crypto offline. Note "hold" as the operative word. If you want to actively "trade" crypto, make payments in crypto, etc., you will need the Ledger NanoX, which is Bluetooth-enabled, so you can buy, sell, trade "on the run" (not recommended in my book)--and the display is bigger/ easier to read. That said, the NanoS family pack is solid / good value for the money. You will need *at least* two NanoS to securely hold your crypto (three is even better). Strongly recommend a crypto steel (or similar) to hold your back-up key. Nice looking product, excellently packaged, thoughtful package design (like buying an iPhone!). I have given up trying to update my brand new 3 pack of nano S and new Nano X so that I can transfer my Energy Web Tokens and my Polkadot to them. It is far to complicated and having to use other programs. Nothing is "its easy" like they all say. My two Nano X are the same. Plus the support takes weeks to get back to you and all they do is links to self help guides. Ive lost multiple coins/tokens to my Nano X that they say it should be there as my etherscan proves correct addresses & completed and they are regular ERC-20 tokens that the ledger says it supports (Ampleforth). On Meta Mask all you do it change the network which you can switch back and forth by clicking which one you want to receive Energy Web Tokens. Far simpler. I like the ledger and the concept. The ledger live app from the Mac App store guides you to sync crypto right away and it is ready to scan a QR code from the desktop, but I’m already on my Mac. Confused already. I setup all my security words on the Ledger but then it wants me to install apps from the desktop Ledger Live app. Hmmmm, really stuck now. The walkthroughs on the website is no longer consistent with the app. Watching support videos and youtube videos, the ledger live app doesn’t give you the same options in the beginning. I’m afraid I can not proceed unless I purchase Windows and run a virtual machine or wait for an update. I hope to hear back from support soon. I bought the Ledger Nano S family pack and I am very satisfied. The set up of the device was easy and the software is user friendly, perfect for me as a beginner in investing in cryptocurrencies. The only thing that I had not understood at the purchase moment was that you cannot install all your coin applications on the device, but that you can uninstall and install them again when you need them as a workaround ( your investments themselves will not disappear, because they are stored on the blockchain).I would also have liked to be able to buy them in different colours than black, but overall it is a very good solution.
