Let me open this review by saying I'm extremely grateful that all of the patterned elements are printed, as not only do I despise applying stickers but also think they have less durability in the long run. (Should be standard in this price range anyway but I'm pleased nonetheless.) The build itself is as clever as I've come to expect from Mike Psiaki, chock-full of ingenious ideas and elegant solutions to problems I didn't even know existed. The choice of color may not be as striking as some of its other brethren's but it certainly suits the car well and it's quite unique among them to stand out. All in all I'm really happy with this purchase and albeit it did not de-throne the Mustang as my favorite LEGO vehicle it came very close. I sincerely hope LEGO will keep producing more of these awesome, highly detailed models as they are a joy to construct and so far all I bought (which is most of them) has hit the mark.

Starting with the good, it's a great looking set that's fun to build with no tedious sections. Do recommend! For the complaints, parts of the set are very fragile; it's a display model but the parts that are supposed to be functional like the engine cover tend to fall apart. It also would have been nice for a couple extra parts to have been included to allow more 911 variations to be built. In my opinion the set is at its best when built as a standard 911; the solid roof from the Turbo and everything else from the Targa. This build is missing just 4 pieces to be perfect, fortunately I made it work by using some black vents instead of flat white pieces. Building the opposite (Turbo with Targa roof) is impossible without buying individual pieces. Great gift for grown teens that like cars and legos. It was sons favorite present. He built it in 5 hours. He loved the options of top or convertible. The wheels turn with steering wheel the seat move forward. The engine detail, every detail after build. The size is perfect for display.
