As a big car fan i had to buy this set. I took my time building which is the best way to go with a set like this. I have been reading a lot of reviews about variations in shades of green. My set is perfect with all the green pieces being exactly the same. Im a casual builder and certainly no expert but had no problem building it. The packaging is amazing. I would normally throw the box away but will be holding on to this one. The Lamborghini is a fantastic display piece and incredibly accurate to the real car. Its a collectors set and i highly recommend it

Well, where do I even begin to describe the awesome build that this is. Kept me entertained for days doing a little bit at a time. I decided to buy this as a Christmas present for myself and it has been the best self gift I have ever gotten myself. From the packaging to the actual pieces used, this is fantastic. The box has not much detail of the what is inside, I.e. no pictures of the car but when you open the box, wow it took my breath away. The design kept me looking at it in awe and I slowly took out the boxes to see what was in them. The curves on this car are absolutely amazing and every piece has been done in such precision to deliver a beautiful vision of the Lamborghini. To anyone who is looking for something great to build, I would definitely recommend this, you will absolutely love it.

Building this Lamborghini was very fun and tricky at the same time. This is probably the coolest Lego set I have ever gotten, cuz, I mean, if a Lamborghini isn't cool, then what is? I have built other 16+ or 18+ Lego sets before, and I gotta say, building them is a bit tough, but i do it fairly successfully, and this Lambo was no exception. There were a couple little inconveniences when building this, one was a missing piece, and one was a gear in the drivetrain I put in the wrong place, and had to backtrack about 60 steps. For some reason, I am just amused with the buttons right behind the roof that, when pushed, open the upward opening doors. I love those doors. I have heard complaints about this build that on the spoiler there were slightly different shades of ... MoreBuilding this Lamborghini was very fun and tricky at the same time. Great set overall! It has a myriad of sophisticated mechanical features! But it's very unforgiving if you make a mistake which leads to my next point. How is anyone going to take this apart? Low replay value owing to its overly durable construction. The last major Lego sets I played with were back in the 1990s. Haven't touched Legos since... I mainly bought this to experience 8880 all over again. But understand that Lego has made fundamental changes to the Lego Technic series that gives a very different building experience. Some changes are very positive, like color coding, but the elimination of Technic bricks in favor of mostly beams and pegs makes this set feel different to what people generally think of Lego... and what legacy Lego builders like me thought of ... I’ve been a Lego follower since the age of three, now some 43 years later my love for the brick is stronger than ever, with the Sian reaffirming this sentiment. Being a petrol head through and through, this set proudly joins the Lego Chiron and GT3 RS in my 1:8 collection. Unusually, this kit sat boxed for two years while I found the time to make a start, this was largely driven by the numerous complaints I’d read online regarding colour inaccuracies and missing parts - I didn’t want to be disappointed on such an important kit, so I kept putting the build off. In hindsight I wish I’d ignored the negative comments and got on with it… the build has been a genuinely pleasurable and time bending experience! In hindsight I wish I’d ignored the negative comments and got on with it… the build has been a genuinely pleasurable and time bending experience! I’ve treasured seeing the car come together, its detail and sheer size, in a colourway only a Lamborghini can get away with, it makes me smile every time I look at it. Once more I’m impressed with the ingenuity of Lego’s engineers, the construction of this kit is complex and all the better for it. Some (few) of the green components differ from one another, but I do understand how perfect colour matching when using different plastics is near impossible. Would I like colour and surface consistency to be as if it had just come out of a body shop? Of course, I would, however the hue shift in the green and gloss to satin surfacing does not spoil the Sian’s overall aesthetic. Equally, some of the black components presumably also manufactured from different plastic types and from specific moulds, has resulted in some glossy, rich blacks, while others are a little lacklustre in comparison. It would be great if Lego could further hone their surface finishes, so consistency is no longer a discussion point, as this is certainly not unique to Sian. Based on my experience of the Lamborghini Sian, it is a wonderfully formed set, all pieces presented in beautiful packaging, a pleasure to build resulting in a Lego masterpiece. One I’m particularly pleased with and proud of. No one else offers products like this, for all generations to immerse themselves in and enjoy. Impressive, to say the least. Thank you, Lego.
I've been a fan of Lego Technic, especially the cars they've put out, ever since I was a kid and saved up for months to order #8448, Super Street Sensation. Fast forward nearly 20 years, and Lego has returned to the automotive world with a string of super cars brought to life in 1:8 scale with vivid colors, fantastic functions such as working transmissions and all wheel drive, and a building challenge aimed at the most die hard fans of Lego.42115 is the 3rd in this bi-annual lineup, building off of the success of 2016's Porsche GT3 (42056) and 2018's Bugatti Chiron (42083). And it seems like Lego only continues to innovate and refine the functionality and build quality with each one. While both previous models were top form for Lego at the time, the Chiron and Sian both improved on the level of detail over the GT3 adding over 1,000 pieces, and the Sian has improved over the Chiron a step further by eliminating issues such as suspension sag, and eliminating the flimsy feel to the doors, while also refining the mechanical elements such as eliminating the need for a slip gear that was present in the Chiron. The Sian also improves on the adjustable wing function that it shares with the Chiron by moving the adjuster mechanism into the cabin of the vehicle as opposed to forcing the use of a "key" to activate it. The easily removable engine cover and wide open window on the bottom to view the transmission in action are two other major steps forward over the Chiron, which had the same 8 speed gearbox and a W16 engine that were both impressive in their functionality, but almost completely obscured from view when the Chiron was completely built. The Sian however, is not without its flaws. I bought my Sian from a local Lego store, hoping that they had received an updated batch that solved all of the reported issues from early buyers. While I was lucky to not have any missing pieces, I was unfortunately victim to the mismatched colors that has been reported by nearly everyone else with the set. The distinct lime green seen in all the photos is represented by a variety of shades ranging from a bright electric green, all the way to a more drab olive green. Most of the bigger pieces seem to be more consistent, but parts with lots of small green pieces like the wing and frunk are a bit of an eyesore up close. The issue is not limited to the green pieces either. Many of the red connectors in my set (6209519 in particular), especially in Box 3, varied from a bright and vivid red, to a darker, almost brick shade of red.Other buyers have also reported issues with the instruction manuals falling apart. So much so that I didn't even open them and opted to download the manuals from Lego's website for fear of mine falling apart mid-build.Now does any of this take away from the building experience? Absolutely not. The build is a blast all the way to the end, with the transmission and drivetrain kicking things off early, and Lego was smart (whether intentionally or not) to save the scissor doors for last so that building the set was interesting and engaging even as the steps numbered over 1,000 for the final hours. The final build is still a sight to behold, and looks fantastic both on its own or side by side with its supercar siblings. The premium packaging and bonus content in the instruction manuals are well crafted, and gives you added hours of content even after you complete the build. I myself am of the mindset that even if Lego does nothing to rectify the color issues, I'll be ok with it and will still look forward to the next supercar with anticipation. But I do still sympathize with those that find the issues to be to great for such a premium price point. Hopefully Lego finds a middle ground that can make everyone happy, and hopefully future buyers of this set won't have to worry about color issues.
Was first very skepticism when purchasing the Sian as it was very expensive but I had completed the Ferrari and wanted a bit more of a challenge and this masterpiece was the perfect fit! Not only does it look incredible, but the attention to detail and all of the functions it has with the gear box, spoiler, suspension, engine, etc is amazing! Building the Sian is not for the faint hearted and messing a simple step is very easy and will go unnoticed until further into the build…however the complexity of the Sian is what makes it amazing and unique! The instructions are very clear if understood and followed correctly. The add on features in the instruction booklets are amazing and I found all the information very intriguing. Definitely would recommend to all my Lego fanatics!
Objectively, this set does not meet all of the quality checks it should have. The variation in pieces across the bright-green color scheme should have either been fixed, or the set should have been a different color. There can also be some jamming issues with the flappy paddles actually shifting, but that seems to me less of a quality issue rather than it being part of a complex mechanism. Which, by the way, is a very detailed and intricate piece of engineering, which works as it should 95% of the time. Putting the car in D, R, or N is also important to note, and see that the pistons and crankshaft alter in speeds as you shift through the gears and the D, R, and N gears. The displayability factor also seems to be high, as the gearbox is exposed underneath the vehicle, and the engine cover can be removed without any altering of the set's many pins or frame. The interior is sparse, with only a two bucket seats, a wheel and a lever for the functioning rear-wing. There are improvements that should have been made before the set hit the shelves, but the majority of the set is well-designed and constructed.Subjectively, this set is one of the coolest sets I have ever had the pleasure to build and interact with. This is my first technic build, and though I was essentially jumping into the deep-end, I enjoyed every second of putting together this thing. Although I notice the discoloration, it doesn't bother me in the grand scheme of things; mainly because I didn't get the set for the choice of color, but rather for the access to so many great views of the mechanics of the thing. The rear wing, though it does not extend far, does what it needs to, and adds a great bit of detail to the model. Building the mechanics of the car, including diffs, engine, gearbox, etc, was a joy. The headlight areas were a great surprise, and weren't simply held in by clips, but had entire assemblies which were then placed into the front end. I am a big fan of the Owner's Club content, especially having a specific Identification Number for the set. I was thrilled to see that the inconspicuous holes in front of the doors didn't seem to be holes, but rather access to push the doors' mechanisms down and make the doors near-flush with the rest of the body work. The interior is very sparse, but it feels appropriate for a car which looks like a stealth-ship maneuvering around a track with its rear wing up. The rear end is also great. with the wing sitting flush against the body when down, the exhaust being relatively unobtrusive, while the builds around them helping to bring some quantity to the area. The taillights make a STATEMENT, even within a Lamborghini build, and add a great vibrance to the rear. Overall, yes, there are some things they needed to change before they let this set hit the shelves, but in the end, the thing that I got it for, the build and technological aspect, plus the ability to showcase that with such ease, was the selling point for me. Overall, I rate this 9.1/10, and I am happy to have it on display.
This is a great build overall. I really enjoyed the way all the intricate parts fit together, from the scissor doors, to the spoiler, and the side panels. My last technic build was the bugatti veryon, and I have to say this build was more engaging and interesting (not that the bugatti wasn't interesting it was a ton of fun to build). The design alone of the different segments for this kit was fascinating, especially how the scissor doors, gearbox, spoiler, engine and panels all fit together. It felt less like putting 800 black connecting pins together and more like engineering. This car looks amazing next to my bugatti and porsche as well! It looks nice from all angles. It isn't a huge deal to me as I bought the set because I like the car not because I wanted green pieces, but it is something I'd expect to match.
Following on from the Landrover and many other technic models over the years I just had to put this model on my Christmas wish list. I haven’t exactly hurried it. The odd hour here and there and finished it over approx 10 hours. Probably slightly easier than the Landrover due to the improved instructions and careful attention from Lego to attention to detail. Whole gear box worked flawlessly in forward and reverse gears. Have to say the Landrover gearbox has played up, hence reading the reviews I took my time on this one and it shows. One thing I have taken away from the Landrover over several rebuilds from it rolling off the shelf was to improvise and I have built a mechanical handbrake into my Lambo taking the differential locking feature on my real Discovery 2! ... One thing I have taken away from the Landrover over several rebuilds from it rolling off the shelf was to improvise and I have built a mechanical handbrake into my Lambo taking the differential locking feature on my real Discovery 2! Easy to do and I am surprised Lego haven’t designed this feature into their marque models. My only gripe was the doors on the Sian didn’t feel they had the same quality of the rest of the model and the front end felt like it needed stiffening up where the front section sits from the front screen to the rear 2/3 of the model. The two front screen front pillars hold it but as an Aerospace Engineer I saw the weakness as I built back to that section of the car. Apart from that, and yes I noted the different shades of green however, I didn’t feel that spoilt the look of the car and the finished model was excellent, however there are as with any model or real car areas that could be enhanced or improved on. A clear front screen (although technic model don’t generally have windows) might have been a nice touch too. I have invested in one of the better lighting kits (why Lego haven’t cottoned in to these yet is a big miss) now to really finish the mode off. Lego please bring out upgrade lighting kits! Got one on my Landrover now too with a full bank of fog lights! Just like my upgraded real Landy! However excellent model and doesn’t disappoint!
