Overall this set was a lot of fun to put together over the couple of days that I worked on it. As with most technic sets there are many small pieces so I wouldn’t recommend this set for any children to build unless they have someone to help. There are 2 full pages of stickers so make sure you have a steady head and some tweezers! Once completed this model is over 2 feet long and almost 1 foot wide, it will definitely make for a great display piece.My only gripe with this set is that the model doesn’t actually represent a “real” car, as it is the 2021 livery on a generic 2022 car. Not too big of an issue but it would’ve been nice to have the 2022 livery with the brighter blue.

After contacting Lego online, the piece was delivered FOC in a matter of days. This was the first occasion anything has been missing. All solved without any worries. Impressive! Bought this as a birthday gift for a lego enthusiast. Very well received and has been built already. Less pieces than previous technic cars in the range but still a good amount of complexity to provide the builder with satisfaction on completion. Price reflects the difference but still expensive. The only complaint from the owner was that he would have preferred another F1 team ie his favourite one but you can't have everything.
This build was one of my favorites. I've built optimus prime and loved it as well as other kits. This one by far was one of the funnest , creative builds ive had to date. I'm waiting to get my hands on the heavy duty tow truck when it becomes available back in stock in my area. My goal is eventually the razor crest. Lego never let's me down and there design team is incredible. Keep up the good work!
This is a fantastic and highly detailed kit. Durable is a bit of a strange comment - the parts individually are durable, but the constructed 'masterpiece' is somewhat fragile and care must be taken if transporting / moving the finished article. It definitely resembles a F1 car - tyres could have been better in proportion, but that aside, quite fun.
If you’re an F1 fan and want to spend around 10 hours or so building a stunning replica of one of its sumptuous vehicles, consider LEGO Technic 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car a must-have. Even if you’re not a McLaren fan, it’s impossible to deny that this looks utterly incredible when built, with lots of brilliant little details. Compared to some other Technic sets, this offers incredible value for money. The only thing that might trouble you is finding somewhere to put it. At 65cm long, it really is quite the behemoth.
Bought myself this as a treat and to help have some relaxing downtime on a weekend, soo glad I did I now set aside 2 to 3 hours and really look forward to putting it together, gives me a great sense of achievement and a boost in my mood after busy week at work. About half way through and enjoying it so much I am already picking out the next one to have a go at, think it will be the Defender next. All round would say these sets are worth every penny, getting so much out of this challenge it has paid for itself. BRILLIANT

I'm an F1 fan, a Daniel Ricciardo fan and a collector in general but purposefully stayed away from Lego because i knew if i started i wouldnt stop. This was my first purchase of Lego for myself and boy was it exciting. It was slow, it was difficult (i dont have lego fingers...yet! the tips of my fingers hurt for days). This is such a great build for anyone starting out. So intricate, so precise and just so god damn enjoying. Consider the Lego flood gates open!!!! Just wish it had driver numbers.
