LEGO 60201 City Advent Calendar

Nice advent calendar. 24 days of little LEGO gifts. We had the LEGO Star Wars advent calendar last year, and this one has better variety. My kids love opening their little LEGO window every morning. The box sets up nicely and has a fold out part to place each day’s LEGO build on. There is an illustrative picture of how to put each LEGO together on the inside of each day’s window. The instructions are minimal, but adequate. My kids are 8 and 5 and my 5 year old has no problem putting the LEGO together herself. W

An Exciting Countdown!

I wanted to steer away from chocolate this year for my 4 year old so decided to try a Lego calendar. It was obviously more expensive than a chocolate calendar but it's AWESOME! My son gets so excited every morning to see what's behind the next door and he's getting quite a collection of cool Lego. I will do this again next year. Such a great way to countdown to Christmas and build up the excitement for Santa's arrival.

Busy fingers busy minds

This is an advent calendar which obviously won't be opened until December, so I cannot comment on this years contents. I have purchased these calendars for my grandchildren for a number of years. They love them and always ask as Christmas approaches "Have you got us a calendar?" These are now part of the Christmas Tradition. You have something to show for your money and is certainly 'For life not just for Christmas'. They are not cheap but then no Lego products are.

Decent calendar overall, but a bit lackluster...

I have to say that this year this advent calendar is my favorite of the three. But even this one is not perfect. The minifigure count has dropped yet again to a mere 5 figures. None of them reference any of this year's themes, which is disappointing. The whole figure lot is bland, unoriginal, and the santa figure for some reason no longer uses that nice and rare face print from last year. In that respect, the calendar is disappointing. However the mini builds are actually really nice this year. I like the references to sets from this year, as well as the little scene additions like the holiday clock. The spaceship and passenger train are fun. These builds redeem most of the calendar (again, most), but the minifigures here really take away from the set, because they ... MoreI have to say that this year this advent calendar is my favorite of the three. It is a fine set but I really think this year's calendars overall have been very sub-par.

Every day is Christmas!

This was the first year we bought a lego advent calendar. My six-year-old son is currently happily obsessed with legos. That is all he wants for Christmas so naturally this was perfect choice. He loves it!!! I have seen a lot of negative reviews on these calendars. I don't have prior experience but I do know that my son is thrilled with this calendar. But parents BEWARE: every day is Christmas! By that I mean just like on Christmas morning your child will bounce out of bed and excitedly demand you go to the calendar at 5:45am! My only critiques and reason I gave 4 not 5 stars is some of the items are hard to identify I think one is a drone. Also (and we are only on day 11) the man mini figure had legs that didn't bend which I found odd. My son wanted him to get to ... MoreThis was the first year we bought a lego advent calendar. I will definitely buy one again year next! I love this idea so much. I paid $23 for it and I think it was worth every penny!

Fun for Anyone!

We have purchased Lego Advent calendars in previous years and they are always a lot of fun. We have opened day one and day 2, my 6 year old is pleased with the mini-figure and vehicle he has gotten. I would recommend these Advent calendars to any Lego lover, young or old. I ranked length of play lower only because you are opening a small piece at a time and it can be hard to wait for some children. There also isn't much to play with until you get to several days into these types of calendars. Overall, we do love them!

Fun for my son!

My son is almost 5 and within the last year has become obsessed with Legos. We are not collectors (although we are accruing our fair share of Legos!) just a kid who experiences pure joy from Legos! This is our first LEGO advent calendar. My son loves it!! He doesn’t care much for the mini figs (they are “boring”... he wants to build stuff and then rebuild it into something else), so I’m glad there wasn’t a ton of those! He has something to look forward to every morning and I don’t have to hear “is it Christmas yet?” every morning because he’s too excited to see what’s in his advent calendar. As a “naive” LEGO mom, this set was/is a lot of fun for my son and we will probably buy next year’s!

Joy of the lead-up th Christmas

Christmas has come so quick for me this year and a tradition for my kids is the advent calendar. Thankfully MYER got my delivery here quickly and at a great price. No need to go on the hunt when it was so easy online. A few years ago I discovered the LEGO version of the advent calendar and whilst my kids are getting older, they still get the joy of opening a new piece each day right up to Christmas Eve. Thanks for saving me MYER!

Lego Advent Calendar

Great toy-store themed, perennial advent calendar. This set brings together all the things children of all ages love - Christmas, Lego and unboxing activities. All members of the family can delight in a constructive and thoroughly enjoyable journey toward the big day this and every year! Lovely item, great communication and fast delivery. Happy customer. Thanks, Target.

Repeat figures and builds, but tree topper made it

We have the last 5 years of Lego Advent Calendars -- most of them City with a few Star Wars versions added on top. I was ready to skip this one and build our own from 5 year's worth of Christmas themed figs and mini builds, but the minifig tree topper called my name. Our family has a pretty good collection of Christmas themed sets and I'm sure we'll use these pieces. The tree topper was the only real reason for me to buy it and I bought it on sale so I didn't have to pay full price for it when we only really want the one piece. I'm crossing my fingers we don't lose it! LOL.If this is your first advent calendar, it's a pretty fun set for little kids or those who don't have a whole collection of Christmas themed minifigs and mini builds.
