For the price, I believe this set is great value as it offers a nice compact little space rover with the inclusion of 2 minifigures, both of which are nicely detailed. Especially the printed and unique/special pieces such as the cockpit window, space helmet & laptop piece, is more the reason to purchase this set. Additionally, this set is apart of the recent LEGO City: Space winter release and along with the 'Satellite Service' set, together it is a perfect starting point for building a LEGO Space collection. Personally, I love collecting different minifigure accessories and small builds, so the laptop and satellite were lovely additions and lastly the overall design of the build looks very well suited to the 'space environment'. My son has just been getting into LEGOs and when I saw this set for the price I had to get it. Love how LEGO encourages fine motor skills, following directions, and then you have the accomplishment of building something you can play with--perfect for my almost yo

In this set, a technician and an astronaut are evaluating a potential Mars Rover to carry people around on the Red Planet. If you liked the movie "The Martian," this set harkens to those scenes of the rover saving the astronaut. Only drawback is that you have to remove the entire canopy to put the astronaut inside, and it only fits one person. What you see is what you get - essential transportation on Mars.
I love the aesthetic of the new Mars Exploration sets. The focus being on exploration and discovery instead of combat gives this line a charm that separates it from most of the other space themes of the last decade or so. I've bought three so far (with a fourth on the way) and so far the Rover Testing Drive is my favorite. The smooth, streamlined aesthetic looks great on space shuttles and the like, and you'd think it wouldn't work as well on a rough-and-tumble ground vehicle. However, the rover winds up with its own distinct look that stands apart from the other sets in the line but still fits perfectly into the overall aesthetic. And the smaller additions (the geode, storage container, etc.) make the set feel fully integrated into the world of Lego City.
I let my 5 year old pick out a toy online and he's been loving space lego toys so this one was his top pick. He can pretty much build them all by himself now and the whole time he was building it he kept repeating "this is so cool"! He loves it and along with his lego spaceship.
My grandson has just had his 5th birthday. Like many children he is mad on Lego, do this fitted the bill. It was also aimed at his age so should encourage him to build it, rather than rely on his father.
I bought this for a gift. My grandson is in to space and loves his Legos. Packaged well when shipped. Price was good for this set. Age appropriate and fun to play with after assembled.
The ‘put together’ took 3 adults all Sunday afternoon. The item is not stable. The instruction booklet lacked explicit instructions. The manufacturer needs to improve the article.
I am 10 years old lego fan. I have a large collection of lego sets. One thing I have to tell you that on this set the age is written as 5+ but on your website account is allowed only above 14 years this is confusion for me. All the things in this set are very good. In my collection, this is my most favorite set. I like it so much. The main thing I love in this set is the space car. Thank you for creating these sets for us.
