My kids looooooved this set. It is a very cozy And complete little house. Mom, dad and Childrens included! Characters that are children (a little smaller) with different hairs and accesories. My kids not only play building the LEGO, but they interact with it. It's perfect for them.

This overall is a very nice set! The building is very nice and the greenery on the side is eye candy I do believe that one thing could of been better... that would be the balcony. It looks so weird in person. I bought this for my brothers birthday and when he got done building it I thought he had made a mistake! It looks very odd and the fact it’s not a full deck looks very weird too. Besides the deck everything else is great! A very nice minifig selection too with Parker’s hair from hidden side recolored plus roller skates which are becoming harder to find these days! And ofc the best part of the set the new golden retriever piece! (My brothers got a kick out of the new “poop” piece too) Overall a nice set with one flaw!

I got for my son.He just became 12years old but he still loves play with Lego and he has bunch of them.He says this Road plates series are so good. Cause you can build your own town or city.So I got this and skate park ( including road plates) and extra road plates kits. He connected all roads and making his town right now.I pretty sure he wants more big box of Road plates series of Lego means little bit pricey, so he have to wait until Christmas lolBut anyways I know all kids loves this!

I picked up two of this LEGO CITY set during Target's buy one get one 40% off. I purchased it to mine it for parts for MOCs, and was delighted with the pieces in it. There are some wonderful tiles, accessories, and car parts as well as a new dog style and printed solar panel flags. The roof tiles are also a lovely, large low angle slope. Great for play but also for MOC builders.
I wrote in another review that the new City sets continue to disappointing trend of the recent City Square -- not enough substance for the cost and it continues here but not as bad as the other two main sets recently released. This concept on this build is fun and had a lot of promise but this is barely a third of a house for $79.95 CDN. I'd expect at least 500 bricks for $80 but all we get is 388; that's poor value. This is advertised as a house but it's probably about a quarter and the rooms inside are very, very narrow which significantly hinders the play value for kids like my 8-year-old son, and two daughters (10 and 5). There are so many cool but wasted features inside the house -- you mostly have to play around it on the outside. When my kids build their own houses, they always build full houses with complete rooms and furnishings but will only build up the walls halfway. That is the same way my sister and I did it as kids when we played with our bricks. Lego is missing the boat here when skimping on the builds by cutting off rooms -- that's what the kids need/want and it's the walls and roofs that are less important even if it's less aesthetically pleasing to AFOLs. I get that Lego is trying to appease kids and the adult collectors but the City sets are starting to fail at both.

It's like building a 3D puzzle, challenging yet relaxing at the same time. Me and my boys had fun going over each step and seeing the tiny blocks come to life. My middle child was done once the car was completed and decided to play with that and the Lego people instead. Me and my oldest stuck it through to the end and both felt very accomplished to see our end result. I never purchased these before because all I saw were tiny pieces that would get lost immediately. I don't really understand all of the 5 reviews. We have been building the 'Friends' houses and wanted one for my grandson that wasn't so 'girly'. So he built this one and it it so much smaller than his sisters'. What a bummer. It has a van - it'll fit 1 LEGO person. The rooms are way too small. What a shame. LEGO you messed up on this one. And it wasn't cheap. Very sad.
This LEGO City Family House playset was really fun to put together! We could really relate while building this house because we also have a 3 story house. The accessories included are also perfect for my family, especially the guitar, dog and video games. The printed instruction guide was pretty easy to follow and we had it built in one evening after dinner. The car in the set is really cute and my daughter has been having fun playing with it. I would definitely recommend this set as a great gift for birthdays or holidays.
