I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old who is obsessed with Lego and we've had such a fun time building this together. There is so much you get in the set and can see this being a starring role of our play together time for a long time to come.It is quite intricate and might not be ideal for all younger ages as the box states 7+ however my son managed fine as he has enjoyed building Lego with me from a very young age.Deliver was quick and easy, and very much recommend this set and Very to anyone who enjoys Lego.

The set itself looks cool but it was missing some pieces and an entire bag. A week later the missing bag is still not here. For a lego that cost $160 you'd think they'd expedite shipping for their mess up. Next time I'll order from them on Amazon and everything will go much quicker. Amazon would've shipped a whole new set and had you return the old one. Lego you have to wait for them to order and pick every missing piece from the bag then ship a slower method than their original standard shipping. Ridiculous. This was a gift for my sons hard work and he didn't even get to finish the project and enjoy it yet.

I never get bored with these under sea exploration sets and I have a collection dating back years and years. This set fits in perfectly and has some awesome little side builds to complete the underwater adventure. The only criticism I have of this set is that once again, we have a large ship hull that is achieved by using two half-hulls. LEGO have produced sets in the past with one big hull, so it can be done.

The boat has a major structural flaw in that there are only a single connection amidships around the well deck and that any serious play results in collapse as the stem and stern separate. Otherwise the build is fun and detailed and the amount of extras is great - helo, zodiac, scuba divers, underwater camera
My 10 year old loves this boat. Built it by himself. Has had it in the whirlpool tub several time in attempt to sink it. It floats well, but he is a boy he does get it to sink. lol Legos as you know are expensive, but he is getting our moneys worth of fun out of this.
This is an impressively large ship and when I saw it in the LEGO store I decided I needed to have it, even though I am quite a bit older than the 7+ years target age range. It is a simple but very fun build. The winch/reel mechanism is much improved over earlier versions--no more fiddling around to get the string wound around the reel properly. It looks great and I have added the three minion characters (Bob, Stuart and Kevin) to man the controls of the helicopter and boat. I had a blast with this one.
Great set, spent a good morning with my son building it together and afterwards filled up the bath to play with it. The curious cat however thought it was something to stand on. Que water, sinking ship and parts everywhere.Great experience 😀
I loved having lots of characters and places to put them. It's a huge boat and feels really fun as a set, you can set it up in so many different ways. My only complaint is that the dinghy doesn't fit in the back unless you make modifications. It would be great to have a crane hook for the dinghy too.
This set is fantastic. It's huge and the boat actually floats. There are several cute auxiliary floating accessories and my grandson is gonna go nuts when he sees it. It's one of the pricier sets but it's worth the money.
Pros: Lego boats are always a mixed bag...you give up a lot of part count for those big hull pieces...and often the boats themselves are kinda meh. This was an exception though. This is a good overall build. The boat is well designed and offers a lot in play features without cutting too deep on the part count. The inclusion of some new animals and a sunken treasure really rounded it out nice. It has decent figures and overall it feels and plays well. My nephew and I easily filled a full afternoon exploring the high seas. Cons: Stickers...I hate stickers in general...but Lego boats should NEVER have stickers. You know the kid is going to take it into the tub, the pool and every puddle in the yard and those stickers last about an hour once they get wet.
