The build itself was solid. There were some techniques that I personally have never seen before and that kept me engaged. The minifigures are okay. You can't complain about the Knights of Ren especially if you are trying to fill out your collection like myself. The Rey minifigure can be found in other sets that I already own so I wasn't super excited about getting another but this is a solid set to get her in if you do not currently have one. Looking at the model as a display piece, it looks great. It is a good rendition of the ship we see in the movie. My only gripe is that once you get your figures into their battle positions, it looks a bit off. The figures cannot fit inside and only two can fit at a time in the turrets (not including the hatch). It looks more like a hover tank than a spaceship to be honest. I'm sure kids won't mind it too much but as an adult collector it just bothers me a little bit. As for the price, I do think it is a bit on the pricey side but considering you get the final two Knights of Ren, I don't mind.

It is understandable for $70 that Lego had not much to work with as far as play ability and interior goes with this set. The way it works is the beautiful design of the ship itself sacrificed the interior space to get the shaping right. But Lego actually did a good job as far as play ability and design goes. Yes, the interior is nothing but 2 little slots for 2 figures which is decent but still not that good for older collectors. There is a small little section about 4 by 4 plate inside the ship to hold like 1 or 2 figures which is good. So overall, it's a great set kids and adults can have fun with and the $70 price is somewhat just a little tiny bit more than it should be. I'd say $60 would be a fair price for this set considering what figures and pieces you get ... But if you like this set, go for it! It is a great set.

My kids love LEGO Star Wars sets and this was no exception. The exterior of the ship is really awesome looking, from the near blacked out exterior, cool engines and front cannon blasters. The build has some challenging technic pieces which really help enhance the look of the ship. There are two issues that other folks have brought up. The first being that the underside is somewhat lack luster and that there is not much interior space for the characters. I would say that Lego did a great job of using a creative solution to hold the figures in their seats and the storage/prison area is small but has some nice touches. As far as the figures go, the knights are very unique and you will probably not see their helmet designs on other figures. I definitely recommend this ... MoreMy kids love LEGO Star Wars sets and this was no exception. The set is basically a shell that looks nice on the outside and is just a skeleton underneath. If you were hoping to get a fully-fledged Knight Buzzard this is not for you. Of course the Knights of Ren figures are great like the others, but I do feel that the set is overpriced. The build looks really nice but there is basically no interior. The little square space in the middle and the two gunner spots don't hardly count. I was able to find it for a cheaper price which was worth it for the okay build and good figures.
The build has a nice look to it, detail wise, on the exterior, but the interior is poor for the cost of the set. I give it a 3 star rating because it was a nice and relaxing build, however the set didn’t meet my expectations on “playability or display”. The interior may as well be nonexistent. I was hoping to take my final 2 knights, along with the other 4 I’ve collected and be able to add them in to the transport for display purposes, but you only have 2 cockpits for the 2 knights that come with this set, and it is a tough time trying to get them in the cockpits. Not to mention they are approx. half exposed outside. The other “interior area” may as well just be a compartment for their weapons, or 1 other knight from outside that set, possibly 2 minifigs depending ... Other than that rant, I do believe the set has a nice touch of the detail on the exterior and does look nice on display. The price of this set was a bit steep but I would recommend this set because hey it’s a Star Wars set and you should probably just add it to your collection without asking questions!
The Lego Star Wars Knights of Ren Transport Ship is a great addition to any Star Wars collection, especially if you own the previous Knights of Ren Minifigures. Overall the build is very well displayable and has a few play features including the hatches for both Knights of Ren to stay in the ship and small cannons to pose and a jail cell area for Rey. Both Knights of Ren are excellent exclusive minifigures that display well alongside the other Knights of Ren and Kylo Ren himself, although the Ship is only designed to fig 2 figures max (3 including the jail cell area) which the ship is called the Knights of Ren Transport but only fits 2 of the total 6 Knights of Ren which could be disappointing during play. The set looks good, but underneath there really isn’t any substance. The internal compartment is just big enough to squeeze one figure in, and it is just a box. Surely increase the size (like Kylo Ren’s shuttle or Tie Silencer) to fit a couple in with some detail (a monitor or seat for example). The two external hatches are tiny and a figure has to be part outside. The two Knights are excellent, but with yet another Rey. Surely a couple more figures wouldn’t break the bank? This to me was a £50 set from a year or two ago, now priced at £65. However it still is one of the best value compared to the other new sets (apart from the 501st that doesn’t seem to exist to purchase!)Big plus was the two Knights, but also the joy of NO stickers. Thank you for that.
I had this on my wishlist since its release announcement. Thought it would be a cool piece to add to my Star Wars collection. The finished product was smaller than I would like. (Hey LEGO, a UCS version would be super cool).Pro: Under 600 pieces which made the build was quick & easy. Can't complain too much when there's only 4 numbered bags. The transformation from nothing to a SW ship was like a Disney short film. Hahaha.Cons: I have to backtrack to build count. Even though I bought this set thru a third party app (a deal I couldn't pass up), I think for its retail price, the piece count does NOT hold its value. Build quality is a little underwhelming. Flimsy at certain areas I expect to be ridged.Best of the Okay: The Mini-figures!!! You can't knock this ... MoreI had this on my wishlist since its release announcement. Not only did I completed my collection of the Knights of Ren, I got my first Rey mini-fig. She may not be as important as Luke but she is a Skywalker in the end.Overall, I'll give this set a "not as good as what it CAN be" nomination. Great visual design but lacks the actual physical design. It could've been bigger for its price but the count does match LEGO's formula. Wait for a LEGO sale or go 3rd-party for cheapet. 'll only recommend if you're a strict SW fan and/or you're a mini-fig collector. Here's to awesome mini-figs! Cheers all!LEGO Fan 4 Life!
If you are like most Star Wars fans, you know that their are 6 Knights of Ren and that this is their transport ship. You would assume that you could fit them all into their transport ship right? WRONG! You have two flip up compartments that the mini dogs can stand in and kinda “hang” out of (not safe to travel in outer space) and then you have another place that flips up and has enough space to lay a mini gig in, if you take their helmet off though. The ship is more of a “display” piece then anything. TLG could have give us room for at least the two knights to sit in and pilot the ship I think.
I bought the set with a serious discount, which I think is the only way I can justify the purchase. The only reason to buy this set are the last two Knights of Ren. The ship itself is just not good. No storage space of any significance, at the bottom terrible to look at, can only serve as a model to look at from above and from certain angles sideways. It might have been better to make this set a bit more expensive but also a bit more finished. I honestly don't like it this way. Lego can do this much better.
