For anyone who loves Harry Potter and have built the older Great Hall models, this is for you. It’s so cool to see the evolution of the designs. This model specifically is built very sturdy, which is something I love in a Lego set. I loved every second of building this and can’t wait to get the different attachments that go with it!

Harry Potter, Hogwarts and all things connected are simply magic! The children love them as do parents, aunts and uncles, and all adults who pause to watch and then find themselves on the floor’ just to give you a hand’. Trouble 👿 is you end up buying and building yourself! I have discovered that I always wanted to build and engineer projects - and I’m 76yrs young!!!

Love having another big section to add to the modular castle!! Enjoyed the build. Was SUUUUUPER sad to have paid $200 and received 3 of the exact same portrait for the collection of 14 portrait tiles. :’( I own ALL of the Harry Potter sets and so with spending that level of $$$ I wish there was a way we could trade back or purchase the whole collection.

An enjoyable and impressive build, and nice to have some different characters. Slightly disappointed to find that 3 of the 4 'random' portraits on the corridor section were of the same witch. These can hopefully be changed with ones from other sets once bought. Apart from that minor hiccup, highly recommended!
I am an avid Lego fan, but at some point I have to realize that Lego is letting too much slide in regards to the MANY parts having dents and chips right out of the bags. Not to mention my sticker sheet came folded in half. The set looks great, but for $200 I’d expect more care going toward the quality of the set, ESPECIALLY since Lego prides themselves on their supposed “standards”
Really feel like the quality of the new sets have gone downhill. The pieces just don’t “click” and stick together, they easily fall away and apart from each other. Onto the set itself for the price tag, it’s a lot smaller than initially thought and not very “playful” it’s quite disappointing and not as magical as it was to build the Hogwarts grounds. If you’re wanting a Harry Potter set the Hogwarts castle and ground is by far the best set to get!
Upon opening my package I was immediately insulted. Bought on release date and it's a 200 dollar set and it arrives with an OPEN and damaged box!!! I counted bags and I think everything is here but it's extremely INSULTING to have spent thousands on Legos over the past couple years and be sent an opened box on a pricey brand new release set. Boxes get damaged for sure, but this is ripped open by a person breaking multiple seals. Upon initial look through it's not even the best great hall. It's all outside aesthetic and bare minimum inside play. I already regret this purchase. I have the full modular set of the last two releases and I don't think I'm doing this one. Hello all. I wanted to write a review on this set because I believe it is garnering unwarranted hate. This is this most accurate and detailed Hogwarts Castle: The Great hall. You can recreate almost the entire first film with the figures and scenes provided in this set. It is modular and easy to handle and move around. The play features are fun and I can't wait to see how this castle is going to grow in the future.
Pros to this set:I love the way the bags were separated with the separate instructions! Makes building with my 2 boys much more enjoyable because one kid could build the bathroom while the other built the classroom.Nothing felt repetitive with this build which made the process enjoyable all the way through. Pretty easy build, my 4 yo had no issues!Lastly, I could not get my kids interested with Harry Potter until I bought this HP Lego set. Being able to explain different scenes of the movie through Lego got the kids interested enough to watch the movies! Now they are Harry fans and cant wait for the next build! This set may not seem like much without the tall grand staircase for now. But definitely get it if you are a Harry Potter fan the amount of details that can still be added in the meantime and the amount of rooms that can be made and inserted into the dungeon section of the Great Hall, would be amazing. Plus on its own it's still an Immaculate build to have on display. I do believe it's missing a couple of pieces to make it as perfect as ever, but that's where the creativeness comes in. I definitely did some changes myself and I love this set. And can't wait to see the whole castle all together in the future.
