I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. What a fun retro product this is. I grew up playing the Atari 2600 and playing with Legos. Of course my Legos back in the seventies were pretty basic and nothing like this.This product is such a great and fun idea. I just received it and have only begun to put it together. I imagine it will take me some time to complete the entire thing, which I'm looking forward to. The instruction book is thick! The Legos are all packaged in different groups, which makes everything a lot easier. My only complaint is the packaging of the product. I had it in my head that I would open the box and the Legos would all be nicely stowed away in compartments. I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This set brought back memories of going to my friends house and playing Atari games all day. It's amazingly detailed and from what I can remember exactly like the old Atari sets. It is a time consuming build but not difficult or hard and it's well worth it if you have an affinity for Atari or old school gaming. I love the working switches and it even comes with game cartridges. The Atari has become the new crown jewel in my lego collection.

We have so many Lego sets for our kids but my husband wants his own sets sometimes too. This is a lot of pieces to put together and will keep him busy for quite some time! Once it's completely built he will be putting it on his desk at work to display! This is such a cool project for adults! As always I love that Lego has such detailed instructions for assembly and the bags of pieces are numbered.

I was a little skeptical about buying this set as I wasn't sure how the end product would actually display.Whilst it's not a difficult or challenging build, it was very enjoyable from the perspective of the memories that it brought back. When you see it coming together, you cannot help but smile.The completed unit is quite solid, with the slide out mechanism (revealing the little pop scene inside) working perfectly.Lego could have just made a shell that looked like an Atari but they went the extra mile with little details, like the joystick (with connector), the game modules and little scenes that match each game. This for me made it worth the price.Well done Lego, loved it.

Explaining to my kids what it was , was harder than building it lol . It's life size and perfect to the detail on an Atari , seriously coolest Lego set . It comes with a high number of pieces so this is a project that takes time which is well worth it , highly highly recommend this Lego set !
As a collector of all things Lego, Zavvi are sometimes significantly cheaper than other sellers of this brand. Also, every now and then there will be days whereby Zavvi are offering even bigger discounts. This Lego set it one of the more collectible sets on offer and is a great build. If you are of a certain age, you will all have seen one of these Atari's somewhere throughout your childhood. The likeness is spot on and the product is quality. You would not be disappointed should you buy this set.
Firstly, this is a great set and has some cool little additional builds which form part of the set. Unfortunately the excitement is short lived when you open a box which is flush to the Lego box and see that the Lego packaging has taken every single bash in transit. Box looked like it had been in the middle of a rugby scrum. Please take note of how Lego themselves package these items and allow for wrap between the outer box and the product box. Fitting it into a box where it meets the outer on 3 sides is just thoughtless. Have returned for a replacement which I am hoping is packaged correctly this time.

It was first gratifying to see such a large box and thick instructions booklet. The numbered bags of pieces certainly make it easier to put it together than when I was a child. The only drawback I can point to are the stickers that are for one-time use only. This is a great activity for many hours of enjoyment.

I love that Lego came out with this set and made it 2500 pieces! In addition to the game console, there are three buildable scenes from Centipede, Adventure and Asteroids. I'm so pumped to put this thing together.
