I'm happy with the finished product but it took a lot more fussing with than the other helmets in this collection. Very fragile in parts, the yellow tubes especially were very difficult to put on without a piece breaking off. Also had a hard time with the chin piece on the bottom. Had to pull apart and rebuild parts because pieces were coming undone. But the finished product is great.

I am a seasoned lego collector. I have been collecting and building lego my entire life. Throughout the years there have been a few weak points on a few sets that render certain parts of a build 'fragile'. This set is far and away the wonkiest set of them all. The yellow accent tubes are too stiff and short to stay in place with a single connection on each end. I couldn't get the thing to stay together. Sitting on the kitchen table, the thing just randomly gives way under tension and 'explodes'. Ive resorted to a hairdryer to prebend the yellow tubes and super glue to get it to stay and its still too fragile to dust with a duster. This set is garbage.

This was a one-off for me. I am not a fan of the helmets / busts that Lego does, but I always liked the helmets the pilots wore in Star Wars, so this one was the one I figured I would get.The results are great, it really is a nice representation of what it represents. The build has a few troublesome parts though, so there's a few pieces that you may want to pre-bend as soon as you open the set so that it's easier when the time comes to get them in place. But this makes a great display piece for any Lego fan of Star Wars.

This is my 3rd helmet I put together and had no issues. Was super fun and relaxing. I didn’t have problems installing the rods as others have said. Went together easily. I believe this is the first open faced helmet and it couldn’t be cooler. Love the painted legos. Highly recommend
I just wanted to write a quick review responding to the complaints about the yellow tubes on the helmet. I had no issues assembling the 2 required on either side of the pinstripe. I will say that it took some finessing to get the front part snapped in place. I’m an adult lego enthusiast, and could see this causing a problem for a younger builder. That being said, looks awesome when completed!!
Love the Star Wars helmets from Lego and this continues the tradition of great designs that are fun to build. A few stickers to add to detail but everything else is brickwork. Highly recommendedPurchase for myself.
Red 5 is standing by with a great LEGO build. Just the right level of difficulty to make it a good build, not overly long, but not built too quickly. As with the other helmets in the Star Wars line, it's very detailed, down to the chin strap and positional mic. Even the interior of the helmet looks authentic. Any fan of Star Wars would enjoy having this on display.
I’m 32 years old and at a point in my life where I can buy what I want, when I want. So I buy legos. Mostly Star Wars Legos cause I’m a nerd but my wife lets me place them strategically around the house as to not make us look like psychopaths when people come over. Luke’s helmet was a fun build and the colors match great with the mantle
So this is the fourth helmet in the Star wars collection I have bought for my son who is 12. He does them all in about an hour or 2. However, on this helmet there are little yellow tubes that you click into place along the top of the helmet.... He kept trying and the pieces kept coming apart every time he would click it into place. Then came and asked for my help. I thought for sure I would be able to do it... Nope, after about an hour, trying every single way and rebuilding it numerous times I ended up super gluing it. I wish those tubes were a little bit more pliable and a half centimeter longer. I don't even know if that would have helped because the pieces that attach to the front of the helmet only attached on two points very loosely and that's why they kept ... I don't even know if that would have helped because the pieces that attach to the front of the helmet only attached on two points very loosely and that's why they kept flicking up as well.So while the set is Lego quality and definitely standard price for a licensed Lego set, if you are reading these reviews after you've bought the helmet (just like I did) to see if anyone else was having problems or it was just your set, it's not you it's not your set, glue it and save yourself some time.
I cannot get the set to stay intact. It involves these yellow tubes that love to snap and fling pieces everywhere. I tried to rebuild it three times before I gave up, realizing I wasted $60 on a piece of junk. I love LEGO and have bought plenty sets, but this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had. Save yourself the time, money, and headache. Skip this one.
