Like the Q's before it, the Q3 continues to do what the system does so well, only better. It's in my bag every time I leave the house, and I've captured some fantastic images with it. The added resolution over the Q2 really helps offset the downsides of a fixed 28mm lens even further, as long as background separation isn't the end goal.

Just got the Q3 last week and got to use it over the weekend. I am already an owner of the SL2 S and the M11. My plan is used to this camera when I don't want to carry a whole bunch of equipment and point and shoot a great photo opportunities. This camera is so versatile. The lens quality is amazing and matches up to the 60 megapixel sensor perfectly. I am amazed by the low light capabilities of this camera. I found that the Auto Focus is living up to as described by a lot of reviewer's. The battery life seems very good so far. The Q3 now enables me to take a camera with me everywhere. These are initial impression's anti-plan to use this camera more often than others.

Bought directly from B&H photo and got a launch day copy. Camera itself is beautiful and deserves 5/5. However mine bricked just under 30 days after purchase.Contacted Leica USA support 2 days ago and got zero responses so far. B&H thankfully will take a return still but back of the line on a replacement q3 if you ask for an exchange.1/5 so far on overall experience unless Leica comes through on a fast repair but so far nothing . Will update if anything changes.

The Leica Q3 is a good step up from the Q2 with better management of software lens correction to go along with the increased resolution. Although shipping the camera with a shutter blackout time that's twice that of the Q2 was odd and deducts a star rating. Hoping this is something that's fixable in a future firmware update.
This is my first Leica. I've been a hobbyist photographer for many years, and I have been eyeing the Q2 for a while. Glad I waited and was able to get my hands on a Q3, because the camera is stunning. The pictures are incredible, resolution is great, can't speak highly enough of the lens, feels amazing in the hand, very easy to use, needless to say it became my daily driver and I have it with me everywhere I go. My main complaint is with the finish of the body, it can scuff easily. Not even sure how, but I got 2 dings on it. I don't mind it too much, but I was hoping to not get anything on it within the first month of having it... I have a half case on it now, and it looks and feels even better. Absolutely incredible camera.
Leica offered to replace my camera free of charge with a new one since the sensor was defective. Not sure they'd do this for every customer but definitely a satisfactory outcome. This is a camera I would buy new from an authorized dealer for sure given the risk of getting a defective one. However, kudos to Leica for the excellence service outcome.
I've always wanted a Leica camera, so I was excited when Leica finally released the Q series, specially the Q3 with flexible MP outputs. However, I read somewhere that the Leica Q series' lens is not a 28mm but a 24mm instead. To satisfy my own curiosity (to prove/disapprove of such claim), I went to a Leica store in Tokyo Japan to see for myself. I also brought along my Sony FE 35-16mm f/4 lens for comparison. Sure enough the Leica's Q3 lens has the same angle of view as my Sony 24mm and not 28mm. Why Leica advertise it as a 28mm f/1.7 is beyond me...
The Leica Q3 is amazing camera and lens. I shoot wide open majority of the time it's sharpest lens and best sensor I have ever used. With the the Leica looks there is minimal editing in LR compared to A7R III. It has changed how I take pictures, forcing me to move for the best composition. The interface and usb charging make it best camera for travel. Additionally the Leica Photos app works great with my iPhone 14 pro. Takes seconds to create amazing pictures for IG.

The Q3 is a wonderful camera, a joy to use that produces beautiful, well-balanced photos. The EVF is big and bright, a real plus for someone who wears glasses. The touchscreen and menu system are just so simple compared to anything else on the market I've used. (I also own Fuji X, Sony and Nikon cameras.) The menus are well-organized and the touchscreen makes it easy to access and adjust quickly. What do I need to say about the Summilux 28mm lens? Its reputation as superlative is well-earned and, as others have noted, holds up even with the 60MP sensor. The autofocus is quick and accurate. Others have noted it is not up to Sony standards. I don't argue with that, but it is very good for non-sports shooting. I don't argue with that, but it is very good for non-sports shooting. I have found the eye autofocus to be quite accurate AND easy to adjust on the fly between subjects with the D-pad.Yes, the file sizes are huge and with it come well-known downsides. But it is amazing how tightly you can crop to produce either the image you really wanted or more than one interesting image from a single file. So I find myself culling some photos to save storage space instead of saving every image I take like a pack rat.I shoot mainly JPGs and I have to say that, despite what have been complaints about Leica in the past, I am getting what are to my taste very well-balanced images SOOC.I am also finding that, paired with Capture One, images exposed to the highlights (an exposure option you can choose in the menu), adjust beautifully in post-processing even in JPG. Areas that I thought were going to be WAY too dark or dirty when lightened up render very nicely, again, even in JPG.As for the tilt screen, it's a matter of taste and use case. Yes, I like the look of the integrated fixed screen better. But the flip screen definitely does allow you to get shots you might otherwise find difficult. Just last night I had stretch my arms completely above my head to shoot over a construction fence and I was able to frame and lock autofocus accurately with the flip screen. So I am glad Leica made the decision that many users had asked for. But if that's not your type of shooting and the aesthetics matter to you a lot, maybe the Q2 will serve you just fine.I recommend that anyone shelling out for this camera strongly consider also getting both the hand grip and the thumb grip. Those accessories greatly improve balance and comfort. If you have to choose only one, the thumb grip would be way to go. It gets you maybe 80 percent of the ergonomics and preserves easy access to the battery and SD card. Finally, if you buy the overpriced soft shutter release from Leica, get yourself a tube of Loctite blue to lock it in place or you will quickly lose the release, as I did.
