A really fun product, definitely easy to use. You start by adding your ingredients into it, you mix, knead and then leave the dough in the recipient to prove. Once proved you place it directly in the oven to bake, which means only one recipient for the all process.It’s easy to clean and easy to handle, easy to remove your cooked bread at the end of the baking session and the result is a nice crusty loaf with an oval shape.

I love this bread baker! I possess two and have bought a further four (two each for my son and son-in-law). We’re all happy bakers now! All the messy bits happen in the silicone baker and you can even knead in it if you want to. I have experimented over time and pushed the ingredients to the limit ie enough to fill the baker to, sometimes literally, bursting after proving. That way, I bake two really big loaves that I slice when cold and freeze. We chip off the slices as/when required and always have fresh home made bread on hand. Therapeutic, quick, easy & clean. What more could you want??

Have only used this so far to make bagels, but has made a big difference. It is so easy to make the dough in the silicon bowl and also to knead. Makes it much cleaner for my kitchen. I have also used it for proving the dough, which again mikes it really simple. Looking forward to trying it to bake a loaf in. Great purchase.

I was skeptical, yet intrigued, by this product. But what a surprise. I used it just like any other bread pan, with my normal 2 rise bread recipe. I wiped a little olive oil in it to prevent sticking. When I hand shaped the loaf, after the first rise, I put it in the pan, closed the top tab, let it rise again, and baked it. The crust was even, the crumb was airy, the loaf had a lovely oval European shape, and clean up was just a rinse. These are much easier to store than metal or ceramic pans and can be tucked in a drawer. I loosely roll mine and use a rubber band. Hint: Don't overfill the pan. The first-rise dough loaf should about half fill it. The second rise will expand to fill it up but with enough room at the top for it to stay closed with the tab.
Easy to measure into, mix, prove, knead, bake, cool & turn out homemade bread, & wash up afterwards. Leave open, or closed to create a humid environment. 3, closed, can fit in the oven alongside one another. Mine have lasted 3 years well. It can also contain food to cook in the microwave. A brilliant invention!
The best thing about this little device is you can knead, prove and bake all in one. It does take a bit of getting used to - when you are initially kneading the bread, but I didn't mind that. Also, you don't have to faff about with transferring dough from a bowl into a baking tin or putting oiled cellophane on the rising dough. Once out of the oven I didn't have to put the bread back to be browned underneath so it seems the silicone helps with overall cooking better. I wish Lakeland would come up with some different shaped/different sized silicone bread makers too but yes very happy.
I purchased this for my husband who is a keen bread maker. Can’t really see the point of this as a baking bowl as any bread comes out a really odd shape, curved up at each end on the base meaning it rocks when you try to cut it. It’s OK to use as a mixing and proving bowl but not as easy to scrape the dough clean as a ceramic dish is. Sorry but this is an expensive mistake for bread making.
Pros: Easy to clean, washed great in the dishwasher. Great to be able to weigh, mix, prove & bake all in one. Folds pretty small so easy to store in the bakeware cupboard too. Bread made so far cooked really well & turned out deliciousCons: Size was a little small, but box had a recipe booklet inside for a few different loaves of bread of a suitable size for this bowl. A bit expensive when compared to other silicone bakeware. I used a voucher during a promotional sale to pay a more reasonable price.
Used this bread maker with Carr’s sourdough mix - a marriage made in heaven!! So easy to handle and produced the best bread I’ve ever made in my trusty ancient Rayburn oven. I bought a pack of 10 mixes - don’t think they’ll last long!!! The Lekue bread maker was a dream to use and almost cleaned itself at the end. A revolution and worth every penny!! My family were salivating while waiting for the bread to cool down!!! Thank you for such amazing innovation!!
What a brilliant piece of kit! I love my cooking and I’ve always liked the idea of baking bread but eurgh the time, the mess, the science to be met with inconsistent results. Stumbled upon this little gadget and I’m so in love with bread making again. I’ve had great results every time! Crusty outside (not too crusty) and soft fluffy inside. Tip: chuck some ice cubes on a tray at the bottom of the oven when you pop the bread in. This helps create the soft inside and crusty exterior. Baking bread has become a breeze! Excited to pull out my recipe books to experiment further.
