We bought this as a replacement for our previous 100e Chromebook. Our previous chromebook's LCD screen broke when it was picked up by the screen. I'm surprised that the small amount of pressure that was used was enough to break it, i expected more durability than this from an Education Edition Chromebook. The repair quote from Lenovo was more than the price of a new Chromebook. Thankfully insurance paid out. These chromebooks are slow to turn on but on the whole we are happy with the product for the price that you pay.Happy with PB Tech. Thanks Team.

Amazing how one could pack in a full Windows computer into this little device. It's compact, fast, lightweight and has great battery life. Perfect for my daughter as she commutes to university for studies (sorry Chromebook & iPad).

Awesome!

Excellent chromebook, great for students. Very easy to use, i got it all set up and running in no time. Great for school work and really good battery too! Doesn't require charging while my son uses it at school, lasts the whole day and we just charge it over night, majority of the time it doesn't even need to be on charger long Love the size of it too, fits easily into schoolbag, with hardcover case on too. I do recommend buying a hardcover case also, theyre really good protection, gives you a little more peace of mind that its less likely to end up cracked in your childs school bag when they throw their bag on the floor when they walk in the door after school!

Chrome book review
3 February 2022

This chrome book has great battery life, and is light and easy to carry around, which makes it great for high school, as I am travelling around the school grounds all the time. It hasn’t crashed at all, there hasn’t been any glitches, and it works fine with Bluetooth. Wifi works great, my connection is always solid and load times are tolerable. Would definitely recommend, it is worth the price.

Had a detailed review drafted but apparently I had an ad blocker installed and lost my notes.Boot time greater than 5 minutes. Apps take forever to load. Unusable.Unless I got a lemon, I was duped. Not upgradable.

Good for Students.

It is sturdy, durable, inexpensive and suitable for students. It is recommended to connect a larger display at home. This model is only suitable for mobile office use. This model is not suitable for playing games.

Great Laptop, Low Price, Solid Performance

I love this laptop. Over the past year, I have been purchasing different chrome books and trying to make them into my ideal portable machine. It was just too much work and not a good use of my time. This laptop did everything I wanted out of the box and more. The first thing I did was run several PowerShell commands from an elevated command prompt window and remove every single application I did not need, this made the machine much faster. After that I downloaded Teams, a VPN and was on my way. The primary purpose for this machine is to be a nice secondary machine to my powerful desktop, however I find myself using my desktop less and less since purchasing this laptop. Also I would consider myself a super user, and the work I do has not been impacted one bit using ... MoreI love this laptop. After that I downloaded Teams, a VPN and was on my way. The primary purpose for this machine is to be a nice secondary machine to my powerful desktop, however I find myself using my desktop less and less since purchasing this laptop. Also I would consider myself a super user, and the work I do has not been impacted one bit using this machine. I can admin systems, write code, and have no issue. If any processing has to be done which is very resource intensive, it is done it in the cloud anyways. The battery life is great and lasts me all day, I do not need to plug in at all during a full work day.The screen resolution is nice to perform work on, the screen itself is nothing to write home about, however, at this price point it is a good screen for the task(s) at hand. The keyboard is very deep and nice to type on. It almost feels like a mechanical keyboard. During longer typing sessions (over 2 hours consistently) I felt no discomfort at all. Very well designed for this form factor. There are other laptops that compete with this laptop which have a much larger bezel, and very poor keyboard layout and depth. At first I was a bit hesitant buying this laptop, and took the plunge since it was on sale. Having used it now for the last couple of weeks as my main driver, I would have purchased it at regular price and it would still be a bargain.I did purchase a ACER TraveMate B3 which competes directly with this laptop and it was garbage, from the ports, to the bloatware, and poorly designed keyboard, I returned it within 24 hours. At this price range, this Lenovo has no competitors, that is objective truth. The only disclaimer I would put out with this laptop is to have reasonable expectations when it comes to performance. The specifications are what they are and will deliver for what they need to do. If you find the performance to be an issue, I would suggest increasing your budget, as for what you pay for it is more than worth it.Nobody paid me to write this review. I just want consumers to have objective feedback on products when they look into purchasing so they can make the best decision for themselves.

Highly recommend
24 October 2022

My old Acer Aspire laptop finally gave up the ghost after a year of several full resets. I couldn’t afford a very expensive replacement so I opted for the Lenovo 200e 2nd generation AMD and boy am I glad I did. It is very compact; easy to set up; fast and generally out performs my old Acer. I easily connected it to my existing monitor with HDMI; attached my external hard drive (with all my old files) and bought a new external dvd drive. All peripherals work fantastic. It is very rugged so I now have a small footprint solution that i can take with me anywhere safely - and at a fraction of the cost. Best buy i made in a long time - l would very highly recommend

Outstanding Value, Built Tough, USB-C Feature

Very rugged, great for study/work/travel. 12" is nice as it doesn't take up an entire desk (study or work).I run a dock off of the USB-C -- it does handle power delivery (PD), video (a second HDMI port), Gigi-Ethernet, data ports (I have 3 USB-A Gen 1) running of the USB-C. The USB-C seems much faster then the two built-in USB-A Gen 1 ports.I've moved the OS to external SSDs - one 500Gb SSD has MX Linux (KDE Plasma) as my daily driver, another 500GB SSD has Windows 11 Pro, a third 500GB SSD has Linux Mint (Cinnamon).* Came with Windows 10 Pro but upgrades to Windows 11 Pro.All drivers in Linux worked fine, very stable. Some UEFI/BIOS issues as usual using Live keys (I also use Linux Tails off a USB drive) but once you figure them out it's no big ... MoreVery rugged, great for study/work/travel. 12" is nice as it doesn't take up an entire desk (study or work).I run a dock off of the USB-C -- it does handle power delivery (PD), video (a second HDMI port), Gigi-Ethernet, data ports (I have 3 USB-A Gen 1) running of the USB-C. Some UEFI/BIOS issues as usual using Live keys (I also use Linux Tails off a USB drive) but once you figure them out it's no big deal.Excellent keyboard (clicky), Bluetooth works well but it's range is short, WiFi works well, case is super rugged, charge rate is very fast (2 hours), battery life is fair (8+ hours).TN screen has no pulse width modulation (PWM) so no headaches, VERY sharp text for a HD panel, fair colors and contrasts (movies are fine), fair brightness for indoors (220 nits). A much better panel then I expected!Power use is low for a 14nm APU - usually about 4 to 10 watts (including the screen) under load, less at idle or standby. Recharging can consume up to 35 watts. As USB-C PD seems standard you should be able to use an external battery pack if you choose carefully). As the case is super rugged (thick) it's great for travel, work, study where it might be put into a backpack, briefcase or luggage.Excellent value (like all Lenovo products I've ever purchased). If they do such a great job on entry level products like this you know the higher-end products like ThinkPads will be 'works of art'.

Truly great laptop
8 October 2022

Frankly best purchase ive made in years, booted up my favorite OS in no time and can run a ton of programs and windows even with just 4gb ram.I usually drift past 5 star reviews too since I think they're usually fake, but man almighty just have to say so far this laptop at the price I paid has been perfect for me. The size is really nice for portability too
