Loving my new laptop. I went with the i7 processor because I am a heavy Tab user. It is VERY quick, even with my 100~ tabs currently open, on multiple windows. I probably could have gotten away with the i5 with the trade off of more battery power, however, I use my laptop for work, mostly plugged in, or able to, so no major loss for me (probably 4-5 hours of battery life). The 16 inch is nice in that it functions as a proper sized monitor compared to the more compact laptops. Setup of external monitor was very smooth. I forget that it's a touch screen, but that is handy from time to time. The fingerprint scan is good - I scanned a few fingers so that I can use whatever is comfortable that day. I like its sleek design. So far it works great. It provides 3 options to enhance either your battery power or graphic. It has a conservative option that lets your battery power to only 80% of its usage which I don’t understand but once you take it off the power, you only have 80% charge no matter if had it on the charger for hours. It has a cooled down option that doesn’t allow your battery to overheat which is amazing because I tend to work overtime or play my games for hours on end. I love the private feature for the camera and the fingerprint security feature. So far really enjoying this device.

This laptop is so fast on start-up, and very powerful when browsing or editing documents. The battery life is fantastic, charges fast and lasts for hours when minimizing background and backlight function. The device is lighter than the clipboard and notebook I carry with it in my backpack. I work as a field services HVAC-R technician, and booting up quick to do my job paperwork has changed my workflow dramatically! The purchase of this laptop was very motivated by the fantastic sale price (-45%) and checked all the boxes on features I wanted, plus more I didnt know I wanted until I started using it! Who knew fingerprint reader was going to be such a key feature used so often!Downsides: (these do not take much away from my overall feelings about this ... Who knew fingerprint reader was going to be such a key feature used so often!Downsides: (these do not take much away from my overall feelings about this purchase)Bloatware; Microsoft365, McAfee, Vantage, XBox, lots of software and apps preloaded and few are actually useful. Not a fan of having software loaded for me, I like to source my own choices. The only other thing I would have likes, is to be able to dual-boot with Ubuntu, but perhaps thats just a lack of effort on my end. Dont want to break it less than a month out-of-the-box.
Overall, I am pleased with the thin, big screen laptop. They key are super nice and soft. It has full length keyboard to which my fingers are more uses. Old school habit. The keys are super soft, the keyboard area is sturdy unlike many dell laptops that are 15 inches or bigger. One of the reasons why I switched to Lenovo after returning that dell laptop. I have enough space to place my palms. screen size is very good. Laptop is light. I chose correct configuration where its cost was less than $700 before taxes. As compared to the Dell laptop that was over $750, this one is very good. I guess, I can still manage without very good graphics as the other features are so much better and within the price range
The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 is a powerful and versatile laptop. Equipped with an Intel Core i7-13700H processor, it handles demanding tasks and multitasking smoothly. The 16-inch WQXGA display offers sharp and vibrant visuals. Its aluminum build feels premium and durable. The 80Wh battery provides excellent life, and fast charging is a plus. Dolby Atmos sound and a hybrid FHD webcam enhance multimedia and security features. Overall, this laptop is highly recommended for both work and entertainment.
I bought this laptop last month, so I am still a new owner. This is my first Lenovo laptop. The laptop has a really nice shape and color. The design is very cool. The laptop is not heavy at all (this was important for me when I decided to purchase the laptop). The charger is small and lightweight, with a type-C port. The computer's performance is fast. I think everything looks really good, except that I have two concerns. The first one is related to the WiFi connection. I noticed that the computer needed a long time to connect to the available networks; even the laptop had already been connected to these WiFi networks before. The second concern is about the life of the battery. The battery needs to be charged every 4 hours if I am using the laptop for more than 4 ... Very decent computer. That's a Gen 6. I own one from the first gen of ThinkBook when it came out. I bought that one because I mostly appreciated the first one. I am not disappointed. It is lighter than the previous one but faster and as good. One thing I dislike with the others were the arrow keys, especially the up and down that were half keys. I found that a bit annoying that since up/down keys are used so often, that they were so small. Well... On that Gen 6 they made the extra to make them larger, very close to normal regular size keys AND I DO LOVE THAT. Thank you Lenovo.
i have this unit for more than a month now. I am happy with it, it is the upgrade i wanted from my older Lenovo Thinkpad with corei5 5th generation from almost a decade ago. THe older unit was running 2 OS, windows 7 with no internet connection, i needed it to run some windows-specific applications (virtual DJ, Ableton live) and some older PC Games (e.g., red-alert 2, fifa 13, heroes 4). For day-to-day internet browsing, movies, music, connecting remotely to work-computers, i was running Xubuntu. This older unit still runs great, just that the ever-increasing demands from web-browsing made the internet browsing experience becoming slower. This older unit still runs great, just that the ever-increasing demands from web-browsing made the internet browsing experience becoming slower. I still use the old unit when travelling. The new unit, was supposed to replace the old unit, same approach, 2 operating systems, windows 11 used for some windows-specific software and moderate PC gaming, and Xubuntu for day-to-day use. I have tried another newer Lenovo for this purpose, but it got too noisy...and a desktop unit at some point. A silent working unit with some decent performance was key for me. THis Thinkbook is fitting the bill excellently. So, windows 11, came with the unit, i updated it with the latest and greatest patches, drivers, lenovo firmware and disconnected from the internet. It runs in plane-mode all the time, sleeping mode for notifications, and minimum software installed on it. Beauty is found in simplicity. It runs great FIFA 19 with medium settings. i managed to run older PC games as well (e.g., red alert 2, heroes 4) after following some guidance from some internet forums. The music software also runs great once you go through the compatibility protocols. Of course, i installed a second OS, Xubuntu, for day-to-day use. For many reasons, i am not a big fan of Microsoft, nor Apple. I like simple things in life, simple things that make life easier. So far, the only disadvantage is that when connecting to an external monitor, either via the HDMI port, or a VGA port that is part of a hub adapter (i tried one that connects via the Thunderbolt/USB-c port), the BIOS and initial starting screens can only be displayed on the laptop monitor (the built-in one). I was expecting options in BIOS to be able to allow HDMI to send signals to an external monitor when connected. Maybe, future firmware updates and BIOS updates will address this.In essence, i was able to replicate my old unit with a newer unit, with way better performance. For that, i gave a 5-start rating to the newer unit. Some 10 years for now, will likely look for a newer unit, still :).
