Laptop seems to be working well, I like that it is fast to boot and restart. Occasional hiccup when battery reaches 20% where it doesn't seem to want to wake the screen up easily. Similar model I purchased a month earlier had same problem, but refused to come up even after charging -- Micro Center made good on that. Haven't really used the notebook feature or the touch screen much. Hate that everything wants to know where I am and programs like File Explorer, other SW (not talking apps), and the Window shortcut 'recommended' list want to remember all my previously opened documents under the guise of making my life easier. I don't want anything to remember anything that I don't specifically tell it to -- or at least give me a settable timeframe so I can clear all ... MoreLaptop seems to be working well, I like that it is fast to boot and restart. I bought this for college and it works great for all of my school needs and is pretty good for the occasional gaming. The large screen with small bezels are great when watching videos and movies. The touch screen is nice if you like that in your laptop. It is a decently large laptop but surprisingly thin. It looks good but can scratch, so be careful. Overall, good product.

My husband got me this cause he wanted it to b easier for me. I'm legally blind and would struggle to see the computer to the point where I didn't want one. I love this computer cause it gives me options on how I can use it to suit my needs, it's bigger, it's touchscreen, can b a laptop, teepee, or 2 in 1, and I especially love that the keyboard lights up. Those things may seem small but make a huge difference to me. For the first time in my life I actually feel comfortable on a computer

The coil whine exhibited when this laptop is in conservation mode (using lenovo's proprietary battery management software) is very distracting. noise gets worse if you move the mouse or scroll. very noticeable when laying in bed reading. buzz/hum noise can be heard when plugged in and while on battery power. I could hear the buzzing on several floor units leading me to believe this isn't an isolated issue.
This is a nice computer, lightweight & fast. Screen is bright & big enough and is smaller/lighter than the previous Lenovo with same screen size. I do hear the fan noise from time to time but so far, nothing seems to be slowing down. Battery life is great and I'm able to complete everything I need to do for work/home. The blue color is very nice. I do recommend this computer.
The IdeaPad Flex 5i is a handsome laptop. Setup was pretty easy using the Lenovo tool however we did manage to overload our OneDrive account in the process so be careful when you initial the transfer. Windows 11 takes a little getting used to, but generally performs well on the laptop with nothing too annoying except the appearance of multipal desktop options at inopportune times. The display is impressive and the keypad responsive. To maximize use of the USB-c port you'll probably need to purchase some specialized cables.
I bought one a year and a half ago and the hinges broke off revealing most of the screen. Do not buy this product lenovo knows that this is a recurring problem with this compuper and they are still selling this computer. If you search the product you will find that many other people had the same problem. I called for help but they said if its out of warranty that they wouldn't help me. For the computer to be fixed you will have to pay 300+ dollars. Thats half of what i paid when i bought it.
so far it has been really great. Quick processing speed. Ease to turn on and off. I did have an issue the first time the other day, but support helped me resolve quickly. It sounded as if I put the laptop to sleep but it wouldn't wake up. Any ways, it was great support. The laptop isn't too heavy. I put 5 stars but I do want to mention one irritating feature, and perhaps I don't realize how to turn off. Every time I touch the screen accidentally, the touch screen mode kicks in and moves things, or closes etc. Other than that, I love the laptop. I especially love the back lit keyboard. O I wished that I purchased on my last laptop.
I bought this labtop about 13 months ago switching from a Mac to windows I spent 1200 dollars for it and have not stopped complaining. I thought perhaps that it was just mac was a superiors computer however my work gave me a think pad X1 and I really enjoyed that laptop compared to the ideapad. Literally everything about this computer is subpar from speaker volume, screen display, weight, and the fact that I can't find a docking station compatible with it. I hope Lenovo will be willing to work with me on a good trade in price however that's yet to be seen. Don't buy this computer
Had the laptop for about 3 weeks, after giving it to my IT guy to wipe the bloatware and transfer everything from my old laptop, I'm off and running. One weird thing happened, as soon as I got it back from my IT guy, I took it and looked it over, approved what he had done, and closed the cover. I then took a one hour drive along with 3 laptops. This brand new Lenovo was the middle of the three, and none of them were in cases. I laid all 3 of them on my car seat and drove one hour. When I went to take the 3 laptops out of my car, the new Lenovo was extremely hot to the touch, I mean it was burning hot, the keyboard, the screen, and the back of the unit were very hot. I though; "oh thats weird, maybe it didn't get enough air circulation being in the middle" but even ... MoreHad the laptop for about 3 weeks, after giving it to my IT guy to wipe the bloatware and transfer everything from my old laptop, I'm off and running. I though; "oh thats weird, maybe it didn't get enough air circulation being in the middle" but even after separating the laptops, it still didn't cool down. In addition, the computer wouldn't boot, so I thought to myself, "great, I killed my brand new machine" No matter what combo of button pushes I used, it would not come out of black screen. I was distraught and thought, well I'm sure they'll replace the machine, but I'm out the $175 I paid my IT guy for the help. Finally I came to realize it may have been something as simple as the laptop did not have enough juice to properly boot. Plugged it in, and left it for 30 minutes, and the fan kicked on, cooled the laptop, and then properly turned on. It was really user error here and not the machine. As for the daily useage, its fast, I love the feel of the backlit keyboard, and the 16" screen splits the difference between a 15" and a 17". I'm happy with the screen, nice and bright, and the advantage of touchscreen are great when type is too small to read. Also the audio is quite good, much better than my previous HP. I specifically was looking for a laptop with high quality speakers, and this one has Dolby Audio which is nice and loud, and sounds "bright" to my ears. The form factor is nice, quite slim and easy to transport, the one thing I wish it had was one more full sized USB port, my solution will be to get a mouse that plugs into the USBC port and frees up both full sized USB ports for other things.Overall, a good choice and I recommend it.
