The Lenovo tab m8 smart tab is perfect. A tablet worth how much I paid, and worth the five stars. Personally I am a thirteen year old, but I definitely have a great review for this tablet. I literally have all social media apps known including Facebook, this tablet is great for media browsing both on the web and in apps! The camera quality is amazing! It could totally be a bit brighter but it's still super great! Another thing this tablet is AMAZING 9.5/10 with gaming, I've tried Roblox, animal crossing pocket camp, Minecraft and more. Now I'm not one of those annoying wanna control fully computer nerds, I don't jailbreak or anything, but like I said this tablet is great for gaming, I haven't had any lag with it at all and I play Roblox for like 5 hours on ... The OS on it is really great and minimalistic which is great for me trying to be an aesthetic person. I love this tablet and honestly would want an iPad over this. Everything cis perfect BEST PART IS this tablet has a led light right next to the camera. Red: charging blue: not charging but has notification(s) and idk the rest. It's perfect and the price is literally amazing for how great this tablet is. Not to mention the amazing stereo speakers on both sides even though the case I have covers one it's still perfect. I hope you enjoy this review and maybe consider this tablet! 🤎🤍💚

Returned it after three frustrating days. The tablet did not seem to have a "home page" with the applications set out where you could start all over. It insisted on taking me to the last application I used and there was little I could do. Eventually I did find it, but it was a very frustrating experience time after time. The instruction booklet was not at all helpful: the drawing indicated having to power up BOTH the tablet and the dock, which was not obviously so. There was next to nothing by way of instructions. Trying to get the user's guide on Lenovo's website was another source of frustration. I ended up getting it from another website. But it did not deal with the problem of returning to a home page.Pros: 1. The battery was excellent - seemed to last a long ... MoreReturned it after three frustrating days. I bought the Lenovo Smart Tab M8 (TB-8506FS) with Charging Dock. I bought it to be used primarily as an e-reader--I chose Lenovo over Amazon Fire because I use several apps (Kindle, Nook, Hoopla, Libby, etc.) and Lenovo has, from what I understand, the "full" Google-Play Store whereas other tablets, most notably Amazon, either don't use the Google-Play Store or have a limited version of it. In a nutshell, then, Lenovo provides access to any app I want without obliging me to brand loyalty.So. This tablet has been an excellent e-reader so far. No complaints there. Presumably, it would work fine for other things as well; I've downloaded video-streaming apps (Netflix, etc.) in case I ever want to use them while traveling for work. Presumably, it would work fine for other things as well; I've downloaded video-streaming apps (Netflix, etc.) in case I ever want to use them while traveling for work. However, I cannot testify one way or the other this tablet's efficacy with streaming. I will note, though, that I've had no issues with wifi or anything else that makes me think that this would be an issue. The "issue" I have with this tablet is the design of the docking station. I was excited at the idea of charging it in the docking station rather than needing to plug it in. The docking station works and looks great; however, a cover that works with the docking station does not exist. This might seem obvious upon initial scrutiny but is disappointing all-the-same. Who buys a tablet but doesn't take it anywhere with them? Or who travels with a tablet, putting it in a bag or whatever, but doesn't want to protect it with a case? Lenovo seems to expect its consumers to be one or the other. The workaround is simple enough. I purchased a case that I use when I take the tablet out of the dock and remove to put back into the dock. It's a slight annoyance at worst and would not prevent me from recommending the tablet overall. But, still, it is an oversight that Lenovo may want to consider when upgrading versions, and that consumers should know about up front.Last note: case options for this tablet are relatively limited. Most, it seems to me, are cheaply made. Again, this is not a huge issue for me, but some consumers may care to know.I hope this helps!

i couldnt be more pleased not only with my Lenovo Smart Tab M8 but with the support I received from Lenovo before and after the sale. The customer support person helped in a tremedous way by going over the features and price points on all of the smart tabs. He helped me realize that lowest priced products may not always meet my tech needs yet he didnt try to push a higher priced product that had more bells and whistles than I needed. He made the process easy. He was patient with my questions, and he he followed to make sure all was well after I received it. Actually I reached out to him again and he is helping me decide what cell phone to buy in the near future. You just dont get this type of customer support especially remote support these days. As far as the smart tab M8 I couldnt be happier. It meets all my needs in which I purchased it for. Its easy to operate, small enough to travel with, yet the screen is large enough for this 60 year old woman to easily see! I have a Lenovo laptop issued to me by my company and its great as well. Lenovo is my brand of choice from now on!
Obviously, this tablet is much slower than the flagships, so your patience must be octupled to match. Its Android experience is mostly vanilla, though I haven't gotten any security patches and the Do Not Disturb quick tile is missing. My touchscreen had some interminent issues which should've been resolved with use. Otherwise, the tablet has been running fine. Its Dolby Atmos is nothing like the real thing. In fact, the app has a link to a webpage where you can read more about the real Dolby Atmos. In other words, it's mainly adware. Still, I highly recommend that you set it to the Custom preset and leave it there. This improves its dual stereo speakers without ruining them too much, and leaves headphones virtually untouched. Its FM radio is passable. No ... This improves its dual stereo speakers without ruining them too much, and leaves headphones virtually untouched. Its FM radio is passable. No recording, RDS only on notification, stereo must be enabled manually, tuning interface is bad, and sound is brighter than it should (wrong deemphasis filter). They could've borrowed the feature from their Motorola phones.Overall, it's a good tablet only if you can put up against its inferiority. As a gift though, don't, especially with kids (believe me, you don't want them to grow up struggling with their tech). For me, I ordered a protective folio case to officiate my ownership. My review on that may come soon, but I must say that my shopping experience was terrible; both the tablet and case were purchased elsewhere. The dock--while not for me--can be useful as others have pointed. Restaurant operators that signed up for online food delivery will approve. Mine will most likely be kept unused for the rest of the tablet's life. A standalone version without the dock would be easier on me.Considering the competition, they could've done so much better particularly on its chipset and software updates.
Best deal for the price. I brought this table to manage smart home devices, read occasionally, and watch videos. It is simply perfect for that purpose. Battery life is outstanding for that kind of tasks. Last charge was 5 days ago, I have used it at least one hour per day and I still have 40%. That being said, the tables is little slow for web browsing loaded pages and games with decent visuals. Also, no Netflix in HD although I knew that when I bought it. The Tab M10 Gen 3 was my other alternative since it supports Netflix in HD, but I'm very happy with the size and performance of the M8 for my purpose. I'm also glad that the 3 Gen came with USB-C port and better specs. I would probably try the Tab M10 Gen 3 for travelling purpose and watching movies. The only ... MoreBest deal for the price. I would probably try the Tab M10 Gen 3 for travelling purpose and watching movies. The only issue I had with the table was poor Wi-Fi connection the first few days. I thought the tablet came defective so I order a replacement. Before the new table arrived the issue seemed to go away, although I did play a little bit with my mesh network settings. However, the new table had the same issue during set-up, so I sent it back and kept the first one which had no problems at all by then.My final comment is on the charging station. Although I really like it, it's a little finicky and I haven't used it much. I got a case with standing mode which I seem to like more. The only down side is the lack of home mode that the charging station provides.
I bought an earlier version of the M8, equipped with the quad-core Helio A22. It's possible that the new eight-core P22T is faster, but probably only for very multi-tasked apps like media-intensive games. The P22T benchmarks are very close to those of the A22, so I doubt that this newer Gen-3 tablet is substantially faster. My M8 is very nice in all regards except the performance. My M8 is at the very low end of hardware capable of running Android at all. Apps launch and switch slowly. There's always a noticeable pause while it's doing what I asked. My most-used app is Microsoft's Edge browser, whose performance seems similar to that of the installed native apps. I also run Microsoft Outlook as my email client. As social media sites become increasingly sophisiticated and as web sites are generally more cluttered with promotional garbage, it's getting harder and harder to run the mobile versions of web sites on this tablet. Sites now presume that you've got a hand-held supercomputer, such as the latest iPhone. Some day soon, devices this slow just won't be usable. Considering that there are both phones and large tablets that are lightening fast, it's a wonder to me why 8" tablets are presumed to have no performance requirements. Maybe Lenovo and all the other manufacturers think that 8" tablets are used only for streaming kids' videos. ANYWAY, I'd gladly pay twice as much or even more for a fast 8" tablet, but nobody seems to make one.
I've been running youtube videos, playing ambient content for 24 hours.. it started at full charge (100%) and 13 hours later it is at 48% which is fantastic. take note this is at 720p quality and sound is muted (0%) and i'm watching through chrome and not the youtube app. I will be doing the same thing in a few days with 1080p, but since I'm not always watching the videos, 720p is fine for my use. that said, you can 100% see the better quality when using 1080p video quality on youtube.. even though this tab has a 800p display. I guess downscaling the 1080p video to 800p makes a big difference in the better quality. but it's good to know that 1080p settings will make video look better.I really like the thinner bezels. I think this is the right size/amount of bezel for this tab since you need somewhere to hold it w/o triggering touch. You can delete some of the bloat and disable the entertainment thingy. which is good bc that thing is annoying af.you can use the tablet w/o actually signing into any sort of account. don't have to sign into google to use this. no lenovo account requires.. so that is a nice touch. i hate how you have to actually sign into an account on most companies tablets. (apple, amazon, pixel, samsung, etc.)the stand is a nice inclusion. it will allow me to use this as a dedicated photo frame to cycle through photos.it's odd that the stand/dock uses micro usb and not usb type c. but it's nice that the bottom has a cutout area to hide the cable.tablet feels solid. much much better than amazon fire hd 8.by no means is this a powerful tablet. ppl wanting more should be looking to spend $300+ for gaming/multitasking. it's just common sense lol. this is a budget tablet for the most basic of tasks. i have an ipad pro for real work/gaming. I think for $70-80 this is the much much much much better option than the amazon fire tablet hd8/plus. better build quality, far less bloat, far less privacy invasion. that said, if you can get the fire tab hd8/plus for $40-50 (when on sale) it might be a better value. however this does come with a dock which also is very sturdy and has at least $15-20 value, imo. so I probably would get this lenovo tab over the amazon hd 8, every time. also amazon bloat cannot be removed, easily which is a HUGE downside.. and amazon is actively trying to stop purchasers from de-bloating their tablets which is disgusting.
It blows my mind how people can't connect the dots when it comes to a tablet at a specific price point. This tablet is on sale for $80 and COMES with a charging station that actually works well and is well built. This Tab m8 3rd gen is exactly what I expected in terms of power. It surpasses my expectations when it comes to value. The screen is fantastic for the price. And I will have to keep including "for the price" because some people just can't get that through their head. It's an $80 tablet at my time of purchase. *tablet + charging station. One thing to note is that if you mess with the audio settings, enable a few things, the sound is much louder and better than what it sounds like 'out of the box.' I wanted to test it out for a few weeks.. unfortunately they're now all out of stock which sucks because I'd definitely would have purchased a few more for around the house since the charging station makes it a very useful and versatile tablet. It's sad more tablets don't come with dedicated charging stations like this one does. It's very sad that lenovo doesn't seem to include charging stations with any other of their tablets. The gen 4 doesn't come with a charging station and that's extremely unfortunate.I have had the Twitch app crash a few times.. unsure if that's the app's fault or the tablets. Either way.. I don't really care because of how cheap this tablet is. It's not that big of a deal. But I do want to note it because this tablet isn't perfect. The visual quality is fantastic for the size and price though. I usually have the Twitch app running 24/7 so maybe that's why it crashed.anyways.. great tablet.. would rec.. although it seems that lenovo doesn't carry stock for this anymore and I doubt they'll be making more.
