For the $100 CDN price this is a great tablet. I use it for playing music, reading news internet browsing, shopping and playing word games. Its plenty fast enough for those tasks. It would probably be slow for higher end games but buy a high end tablet if that's your intent. Its mostly plastic but it light weight. The screen is clear and has nice color to it; more than adequate for what I'm doing. The setup was a bit of a pain having to go through all the questions and then updates. Everything on the tablet is slow when its updating. Once it was done it works great.

Easy to use and included in mine was a free screen protector and a stand to house the tablet.Ideal for any age, and gender.I love mine, as I'm 'old skool' it has the headphone socket. What more can I say only.....you wont be disappointed in your purchase. Out of 10, I give it 10, yes its that good. Even the battery life. Screen size and clarity is for me 'spot on', better than my other tablets I've had. I havent used my camera yet, but I normally dont use my tablets to take photos, so I cannot comment. I would image it will be good.

Recently bought the M9 to replace Lenovo 8 2018, BUT I miss the 8 inch and the M8 is perfect upgrade.Lovely pocketable size, great for everyday use, text clarity and screen density v good for size and price, like the screen ratio for video, good customisable screen options for eyes- the grey scale particularly good for reading news.Processes fast for emails, browsing, videos also v customisable and easy to set up/navigate.For the money/specs it's a fab little device, longtime fan of Lenovo over other big brand Android tabs because Lenovo comes with fairly clutter free simplicity.Wasn't available in store, v pleased with next day collection Brent X.

The Tab 8 is a useful tablet in an easily accessible form factor /size. It has three issues which prevent a 5 star rate. As with most Android devices it is not truly a Lenovo tab but Google. Not sure of the details about why this is the case, I suppose G pays L for placement. Doesn't matter, it amounts to a monopoly on Android which is meant to be open source. Also, personally, having G own MY machine is not acceptable. I remove all that Spyware first thing. Next is the OS. Specifically notifications and permissions. Managing these has become an arcane exercise and nearly futile for anyone who values their privacy and battery life. I can't emphasize enough how absurdly and unnecessarily complex this is on this device. Also, pairing to a phone to share calls and ... The processor performance isn't up to it's rating. Not sure why but it's often slow. Battery life once set up properly and with pairing off is great but it takes too long to recharge. I've tried a couple of different stylus on it and am dissatisfied with the results. This is the ideal form factor for taking hand written notes and sketching yet it's not simple to do. Bottom line is this could be the idea phone companion or even replacement but falls short due to Google, overly complex settings and touch screen. I will probably install Linux on this one to fully evict G and improve the touch features.

The tablet is faster and the battery life is good but...Android and/or Lenovo has limited the amount of notifications you can receive. One app is only allowed two a week, another four a day. I had bought this tablet to use for a video surveillance app: I wanted to take the stress off my phone. The tablet will run the cameras in decent time but with no notifications, it is useless for my intended purpose. Several of the cameras are in high traffic areas prone to trespassing and drug use so I need the notifications. The other complaint is the Duraspeed function limits background processing so until you figure it out, ... Android go is absolutely terrible. Not worth the money, go with a better processor or just buy Apple and be happy. Lags like crazy! Apps crash all the time. Watching videos is always blurry and just overly slow in general. Amazon fire tables are cheaper and work better.. I have a Lenovo laptop and p11 pro tablet and am happy(Lenovo touch sensitivity sucks). Figured this would be good for at work and travelling but not the case. Don’t expect to do anything quickly or efficiently. While machine legs even straight out of box working with pre downloaded Google apps
Tablet is good for watching movies, picture quality is good and so is the sound. I bought it for my children, would say this tablet is for average daily use of google and browsing the web. Can also set up for a child which is also really useful and very much recommended. The children can use the google classroom on them as well, so they can do their homework on them which is also very helpful. So overall for child this tablet is handy which the right settings, set up of course. If you’re looking to use this tablet for work I would suggest using a different Lenovo device which better software. But overall happy with the purchase, kids ain’t moaning. So I can’t complain
Many of lenovo tablets including this one has issues with Auto Screen Dimming. So, while using the tablet, the brightness automatically starts to increases/decreases. There is an auto brightness adjustment feature available but it does not help with the dimming issue. There are a lot of complaints on online forums. Also, after installing the update, firmware forces me to install some 3rd party games otherwise it does not allow me to finish setting up the tablet.None of Lenovo products are recommened.
