This computer has wonderful specs, aesthetics, and performance. However there is one glaring flaw. The battery cannot last a single night while asleep. For me the battery drained 24% in 3 hrs and was warm to the touch. This is NOT due to faulty hardware. The battery is completely fine. No amount of part replacement will fix it. I have gone through hours of Lenovo support to find this out. The chipset in this computer does not support (S3) Standby, only modern standby. It cannot be changed in BIOS, nor Windows. This results in the battery draining faster during sleep than it does while awake or off. The only option is to hibernate or turn the computer off. This laptop works and performs great. There were a few bugs when I first bought it such as going into sleep mode suddenly after turning it on and before I could log in fully and the top left of the mouse pad not working well, but they were fixed with firmware updates. However, the pen that comes with it is borderline useless. Every couple minutes, it thinks that the stylus is about 6 inches to the write suddenly which causes big lines to be drawn. The battery also runs out after 10 minutes but recharges in about the same time.

This has the fastest processor that I’ve every ran on a laptop and it shows. I’m an engineering student who uses python, R studio, spyder, etc. so far it runs great. I’ve gamed age of emipres using the Steam client and that works great. I will note that the first time i used it, it crashed my computer several times and maxed out GPU, and memory in doing so! I think steam must’ve been downloading stuff in the background too. Haven’t had another issue there. I purchased the lenovo active pen 2 with it to use. It works fine for about an hour and then the screen starts to sense the tip before it even touches the screen! So it makes it impossible to write with! I would not recommend this for hard core note taking. Great working set up though. I would suggest a samsung ... MoreThis has the fastest processor that I’ve every ran on a laptop and it shows. I’ve moved from a HD to SSD and wow can i tell a difference in start up and noise! Very light, quiet, and durable. The screen doesn’t feel like it would just fall off like many laptops. Would recommend to a friend 100% because to get the same insides as this computer on any other model or brand your looking at +$2,500!

Constant audio issues with Intel SST/Realtek when watching videos from files or youtube. I don't know why Intel and Realtek had to merge in audio. Just under 3 weeks of using it I've had a BSOD, many instances of loud and short audio hiss with screen turning off (computer still on) right after with the entire computer frozen, or audio drivers crashing. I've never experienced this many problems in any Windows computer before. It's funny how my other "non-windows" computer never has these silly issues in the years I've used it -- it has worked whenever I needed it and however I used it. Such a shame because the computer itself is physically pretty nice. It has the latest gen Intel and ports, and performs well when it works, but what a shame it has these trivial issues..I wish the trackpad was clickable at any location on the pad, and would like the keyboard keys to have a little more travel or some quiet click-feeling feedback, with a little more firmness needed to push down. I think I've gotten used to the keyboard though and have come to like it a bit however, but the spacebar seems a bit soft feeling compared to other keys. I think that's because it probably just has one silicone button under it in the middle instead of two. Or it could be best resolved by sturdier mechanisms since it is a much larger key.I've installed a fresh copy of Windows and have updated all drivers using Windows update per Lenovo's instructions, but it has not helped with these issues. I hope they get the driver issues ironed out soon or my payment will be refunded.
Pro:- 300 nit screen is good enough to be used at home.- 1.5kg which is not that heavy on one's lap.- I prefer side speakers to top/surface speakers so they don't get dusty very easily.- keyboard's feeling is really good: it's height and response are way better than the "fruit" brand.- battery so far is definitely ok when I browse thru web pages, put on BG YouTube and edit non-image files (Word, Excel, Python and etc) for the entire morning. I know it's smaller than the ThinkPad Yoga, but it's not that horrible as one might think.- quiet, really quiet and not over heated.- one can upgrade memory and hard-disk; that's nice.Con:- Don't know why Lenovo put 16:9 instead of 16:10 screen and leave such wide space at the bottom edge. There could be tech requirements but I don't see other PCs have this problem. Then 16:10 and 3:2 ratios are much more costly.
First of all, the Abyss Blue color looks great, but it's much closer to a ThinkPad shade of anodized black in person with an iridescent blue tint under certain lighting. Whatever the case, the fit and finish are flawless, and it looks ultra-professional.I purchased this for my dad to use for his job (college professor), and this is definitely overkill for his needs, but I wanted to spoil him and perhaps pique his interest in cool tech. The first thing he noted was that he enjoyed the keyboard more than his previous laptop. I found that it had keys with deeper travel than my Slim 7 15 (2020) and felt a bit more clicky, which is great. The laptop cools similarly to my Slim 7, but does so with only one heatsink and fan (instead of two), and with less noise. So overall, the cooling is excellent. The screen is pretty good, but to my pedestrian eye, it has marginally less contrast than the Slim 7 (which is itself a very good screen at 370 nits and 80% AdobeRGB). Also, the hinges are pretty solid for their type, and the webcam is truly excellent. All in all, I highly recommend, and I like the fact that this model from Lenovo is comparatively unique.
More than pleased with this Lenovo. I was looking for an 2-in-1 that was lightweight and quiet within my price range and the ThinkBook hit the sweet spot. Great mix of latest specs and still has legacy ports (HDMI, USB A type). Doesn't overheat which was a concern of mine, along with possible loud fan noise. Luckily it's been super quiet, and during high-demand processing (video editing for instance) the ThinkBook doesn't get too loud. That means great for audio recording. The keyboard is very smooth and responsive, pleasantly surprised. The handful of downsides: battery isn't the best, but it's not horrendous. It also may be that I run too many apps at once. The camera is fine, not stellar, but more than adequate for conference calling.Lastly the touchpad: I'll ... MoreMore than pleased with this Lenovo. The touchpad on the Macbook is in a league of its own. The one on the ThinkBook is...fine for a PC. It's not the best, and took a few days to get comfortable with it (the left/right click do take some conscious thought, so not as smooth as the keyboard).Lastly I'll mention the Active Pen. The one that's built in is small, so if one is aiming to illustrate then you'd want a dedicated, larger pen. The built-in pen is great for note-taking and quick sketches and I'll say that my expectations for it were very low. Very, very pleased with how responsive and easy to use it is when note-taking and whatnot.
ThinkBook 14 Yoga is lightweight, fast (with intel core i7), has plenty of storage, and ruggedized enough to use for work purposes similar to the ThinkPad. I bought my laptop via the Lenovo online store and had assistance with a Lenovo representative. I was originally thinking of a different Lenovo as I had seen one sold at Costco but the representative was able to get me this ThinkBook with better features (e.g. storage and speed) than the the other option. My use is primarily business related so I was surprised that the ThinkBook would be better than some of the options for Thinkpad. My previous ThinkPad still works but it was "time to upgrade". Previous computers such as Dell have crashed and gone Bluescreen which has never happened on the Lenovo. I was looking for a ruggedized laptop that I can use for business purposes and this fit the bill. I have not used the other features of the laptop as I know it is also good for those in graphic design.
Have used the computer only a few times so far but so far so good. Looks very nice and feels very nice when using. I like the touch screen and stylus pen options even though I mainly don’t use those features a lot. It’s just cool to have them. Not using the computer for anything crazy yet, just email, web surfing and one live stream from computer to TV via HDMI cable. Again it’s brand new so hasn’t stood the test of time yet but so far I love it as long as it continues to work as normal. I did run into one issue where the computer screen went completely black. The computer was turning on but the screen was completely black. It turned out I must have hit the screen brightness button all the way down which turned the screen all the way off. The computer was turning on but the screen was completely black. It turned out I must have hit the screen brightness button all the way down which turned the screen all the way off. My other computer would not do that, like the screen would still be on if the brightness was turned all the way down but this computer will actually turn the screen completely off if it’s turned all the way down, so be aware of that. It took some trouble shooting to figure out what was wrong with the computer but I was happy to find out that it wasn’t broken. Before this I had an HP and it has lasted me 10 years and still works fine so I’m hoping this one can do the same. Decided to give Lenovo a try because I liked their computers in person at Best Buy. This particular model was not on display but they had several Yogas on display, and I liked those a lot so I went on Lenovo’s website and found one that suited my needs.
Anything that didn't work was part of my learning curve. This laptop does everything I've ever dreamed of, efficiently and at a speed that makes it feel like it knows what I'm thinking before I can even act on it. I'm a mouse user who has had struggles with the touchpad of any previous laptop I've ever used. This thinkpad was responsive without being itchy while I was connecting and transferring from my old laptop, and has stayed locked upon my command. The keyboard is responsive, neither overly active nor resistant. Graphics and sound, despite my hesitancy based on other reviews, has been spot-on. The extra memory means I can have everything on the laptop, conveniently ready as I need it. I can't speak to customer service because I've only had the laptop for a few ...
