Generally, this is a decent all-around notebook for everyday. Thei5 CPU is adequate and the 24GB RAM moves things along, The lighted keyboard is a plus and something I wish I had opted for in the X1 Yoga I just purchased. The white legends on the platinum colored keys are difficult to see in overhead lighting, on a train and in aircraft. I gave the E14 four stars- and not five due to the odd color display issue. Regardless of how I manipulate the Windows display settings and the Intel graphics command center, the reds are washed out and appear orange-ish. This is a non-critical machine for me and so I'm not going to return it for replacement or service. QC should have caught this flaw before shipping it to a customer.

This laptop is phenomenal. It's lightweight, and I bought it for my travels. I’ve never felt so convenient after switching from the Y700. I mainly use it for coding, and so far, I’m fairly satisfied. I had mine modified with an aluminum chassis, and it was one of the best decisions ever. It handles heat well, staying around 45°C, and the fans work efficiently.I also game on it, including playing The Sims 2. It’s an old game, but it runs pretty well on Windows 11. I believe my switch to AMD was a suitable choice, and I might consider purchasing another AMD product in the future.I appreciate the ThinkPad E14’s camera cover; I like its smart lock design. It’s sleek and convenient, so I don’t need to tape the camera, and it doesn’t compromise the design or utility. I’m very happy with this purchase. However, one thing I want to mention is that the black color stands out. People at the airport immediately recognized that I work in cybersecurity by the design of this laptop, which is amusing. I hadn’t seen this laptop in real life before my online purchase and didn’t know it would reflect my work so well. I also love how the red “i” in ThinkPad lights up; it gives the laptop a cool, interesting, and mysterious look.

I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. The delivery was quick, it was easy to set up, and it's super fast (even with tons of tabs open as well as a bunch of programs). For comparison, my last laptop would lag severely whenever I opened a few programs or had a lot of tabs open. I think how fast this laptop is has to do with the SSD hard drive. I compared it to an HDD and this Lenovo was like lightening. Logging in/accessing private websites is super fast and safe with the Windows Hello feature. The video quality/sound is great. If the sound isn't loud enough you can easily connect a mic via USB or Bluetooth. It's also great for streaming videos, Netflix, etc. The battery lasts for a few hours, but it charges quick.
