I've worn these Levi's 405 Standard Shorts in Dark Indigo for a few weeks, and they are now my go-to pair. The fit is true to size, offering a comfortable but structured feel. The 405 denim 32 inch waist shorts which I bought, fit very nicely, only a couple of compliments1). I have a slim behind, and Levi’s doesn’t make a slim fit in 100% denim!!! But overall the 405’s don’t fit that loosely!!2) availability of the 100% denim shorts!!!Very hard to find!!! I got a email from Lee jean’s saying they had them, so I checked the Levi website and also found them available.

Great denim, Poor sizing

These are great standard Levi's quality denim but they appearantly run 2 waist sizes too small. I'm returning size 31w for 33w. My previous yrs. of 405's are 31w. I read 1 review that stated the sizing was small and they are correct. 2' too small in the waist.

Great fit and colour but need more colour choice.

Great fit and colour and wish there were more in this style but more colours. Denim and black were the other two choices but those colours are pretty ho hum and getting boring. Some Charcoal grey of different shades and neutrals would be nice. The black is such too dark IMO. Husband takes a 36" and they fit perfectly. He said they feel and bit stretchy and comfortable.

Happy guy!

My husband was thrilled when I found these iconic Levi short for him! Nice fit, not baggy or cargo style. These have been his everyday 'go to' shorts for MANY years! However, the price of Levi's is unbelievable. A fine birthday gift for him. Between two orders I think I have bought six pair...his 'inventory' is restocked.

Pockets too tight and zipper too short.

I'm 5' 7" and weigh 160. Although these are comfortable to wear, for me, they are not as functional as I like. The pockets are too tight. I have a hard time getting my hands inside to get things out and usually end up pulling the pocket out with my items. The zipper isn't long enough or inseam is too high. It's not easy to use the zipper except for putting on and taking off the shorts. I ended up returning the unused pair (I bought 2) and buying a 550 relaxed fit pair. Walmart was VERY EASY to do business with. Five stars for Walmart. (My wife likes they way these look better than my relaxed and loose fit shorts.)

Surprised brand own store had the best price

I knew what I wanted—I already had a pair—but their days were numbered. So I googled, and pricing was all over the place. I went to levis.com.au to get an idea of what I thought would be the retail price. Even better, they were on sale, and it was the best price I could find. Amazon was a rip-off. I will always be price-checking Amazon from now on. For jeans, www.levis.com.au will be my first port of call in the future.
