511 Slims are Hands Down the Best Jeans Out There!

I was super hesitant ordering light colored 511's as I always go dark denim but I am so glad I did. These things are killer - incredible fit, better than the normal 511's because they use the new eco stretch material which is unreal, and I love the color. The 33x34 fits my body type better than any other jean (6'3", 195 lbs). Plus Levi's is way ahead of every other jean company in terms of sustainability and transparency and I will continue to support them on that basis alone. They've even conducted LCA on their products which is a massive step forward!

Buy your size, your favorite style, online!

So lucky. Got these for 30% off for Black Friday. Fit perfectly. This could be a great source to finally get Levis that are the right style and size. Fortunately this was Costco prices but the pants I really wanted that actually fit! I was able to get a regular style 511 in a slim fit and straight leg and a 29 inch length. Usually the only carry even number sizes at most retail sources. There is a big difference and you don't need to get the baggy crap for todays fat boys, you get something that makes you look slim. Just imagine!

NOTHING BUT DISAPPOINTMENT

I bought these jeans along with the same style (511 Slim Fit) in another color. This fit was completely different than the other pair, which was perfect. These jeans looked great out of the package, but when I tried them on, they were large and puffy despite being listed as slim fit. The butt and thighs were puffy, and even the waist was large. They were more like the relaxed fit jeans. I went online to return them and found that I couldn't exchange them. I decided to keep them and wash them in really hot water and dry them in a hot dryer to see if that would shrink them a bit. They still don't fit right. How can the same jeans with no change - but color - fit so differently? You would think that as much as these jeans cost, there would be some quality control. Poor consistency and lack of options.

Why don't you make inseams smaller than 30" (at least for your Premium Jeans)? I fit best in a 28 or 29 inseam, so these bunch up at the bottom. Also, your consistency is unreliable. I can order one pair from a retailer and they may fit ok, but if I order a second pair, they'll be too big or small, despite being THE EXACT PURCHASE from the SAME RETAILER. I don't get that. I have had to just blindly order jeans and return many because 1/2 of them don't fit the same or the quality seemed different than the others. Also, it hurts my brain trying to navigate your selection options. Are premium the best quality? Where do Denizens fit into the mix? Slim Fit, Big Win! 👖💯

These Levi’s 511s are the perfect middle ground between skinny and relaxed jeans. I’ve got the 32x32 in Dark Indigo, and they seriously go with everything—casual or dressy. They fit snug but aren’t suffocating, which is a big deal for me (I like breathing in my jeans, thanks). The fabric has a bit of stretch, so moving around is no problem. Plus, the dark indigo shade is classy and super versatile. These jeans give off that effortlessly cool vibe without feeling like you're trying too hard. Definitely a wardrobe staple! 🔥

The Good, the bad, and the Ugly

So I ordered 3 of these Levi’s 511 in 3 different colors. The first one, fit perfectly and I loved it. The second one was a different material but softer and a bit tight. The third one was totally a different material and didn’t feel nor fit as good as the first one. So while these are all the same size, all 511, and all bought at the same time yet they were all different which is mind boggling to say the least. I guess it’s better to go to the store and try them on first. I’d definitely buy more if the first pair.

The perfect pair of dress jeans?

These are the only jeans I wear after years of buying baggy jeans that were not flattering. I do not do hard outdoor work in these jeans, however. My tips for keeping them nice are to gently brush any dirt stains off, and do not wash them. Instead keep them in the freezer. I spray mine with Vodka twice a year while hanging up outside. I also have used a home dry cleaning solution a few times which seemed to brighten them up. Beyond that they fit great, and the color is beautiful. (Begonia Overt) The waist does seem to stretch a bit and the pants can sag after maybe 100 wearings (I get 300+ wearing out of each pair of mine before I replace them) but you can just wear a belt to solve that. A wonderful pair of jeans.

For over 30 years I have worn 38 x 32 Levi’s 501s. But I have disliked the baggy butt. I have tried other jeans and had not been satisfied with them. In scanning through your online shopping guide I noticed the 511 Slim Fit and decided to give them a try.I ordered a pair of 38 x 32 511 Slim Fit and I thought in the Dark Hollow. But the color I got was the Got Pickles - way too light and much different than the small color button shown in the guide which appeared much darker. I do like the Flex cloth - it is very comfortable. However, the Slim Fit is not for me as they are far too tight on my calves, so I will have to go back to the straight leg style.
