I was so excited for these jeans. I sized up like others suggested, and they fit. But wow, the stench of chemicals and formaldehyde is overwhelming. The denim is saturated with it. I have had to wash them about 6 times in the last 2 days, even soaked them twice overnight in borax, and then vinegar. The stench is still there. They reek! The chemical smell has even gotten into my washing machine and dryer and leached onto other clothes. I am appalled and disgusted, and it has made me feel unsafe. Chemicals on clothes are dangerous. A customer service agent told me to deal with it and that it will go away eventually. Not reassuring.I got ācagey blackā, and now I feel like the color has already faded even more because Iāve had to clean them so much. No one should have ...Ā MoreI was so excited for these jeans. No one should have to spend extra money and energy to clean new denim, especially from Leviās. Iām super disappointed and upset. The style is gorgeous, and having other pairs, this is my go-to. But not this time. This is totally unacceptable and they belong in the trash.

These jeans fit perfectly. I am 5'3/5'2 180 lbs and I bought size 32 length 27 color black. For my height the jeans just crossed my ankle so I don't have to get them hemmed. These are high rise. I have bigger thighs and hips and it has hugged me at all the right places. The high rise and straight cut with boots and a short top/ sweater has elevated my height. Gives a chic look and slimming effect. The only con is there's no zipper. It's a button fly closure. I mean to each it's own. They aren't hard to close or open. It isn't an issue for me. I am planning to buy another pair the same style but in white color that I found in store.

This is a review of the purchasing process and the sizing of these jeans, because I was unable to get the pair I wanted. Firstly, these jeans are beautiful. I love the color and they seem wonderfully made. However, the first pair I bought, after measuring myself according to the size chart given, was huge on the waist. I measured again and confirmed my waist was 29 inches, but the jeans were absolutely too big. I made an exchange, hoping that 27 inches would be better, but those were too tight. Because I bought these on sale and now they have increased to the original price, and because Iām now concerned about the fit even if I tried to repurchase, and because I donāt know how many times I should try again before it is no longer worth it, I didnāt end up these ...Ā MoreThis is a review of the purchasing process and the sizing of these jeans, because I was unable to get the pair I wanted. Levi's. We all know and love them the way they fit your body perfectly and make your booty pop. All of the colors from light washed to dark blue that go with just about anything. I first got introduced to Levi's in the seventh grade. I was going back to school shopping and was simply just looking for some pair of jeans. Ran into a light washed pair of super skinny jeans that were soft to the touch so I immediately had to buy them. The main strengths of levis would be that theyāre right underneath my ankle, sit just above my waist, and allow movement throughout the hips and legs. To elaborate more on āright underneath the ankleā I'm talking about their length being 30 inches. Iām 5ā4 which is not that tall and is a reason why I like a shorter cut jean or a jean thatās able to be cuffed without looking awkward. Leviās does a great job of being inclusive with their jeans, not only in color but in other aspects like the fit or the cut. Personally I love me a good straight leg jean and Leviās can provide that for me. Iāve gotten bootcut, skinny, and straight leg jeans like the 501ās and I've really enjoyed them. The weaknesses of levis jeans would be that some of their jeans stretch a little too much after you use them for a while. There are these pants I own that are a straight leg button fly style but their problem is that after being in them for a while they become a little loose on the waist and get uncomfortable to wear. Another con I have about levis jeans is that depending on the jean you buy they can be a little stiff. I look for a flexible jean that I can move around in and sometimes levis doesnāt provide that. Other than that, levis are great jeans and Iām definitely still investing my money in them.To conclude, levis jeans have great features. There might be some things they can work on but besides those 2 things theyāre great.
Great style. Unfortunately, the sizing is very big. They seem to fit when you first put them on, but after a wear or two, they stretch out considerably. I would suggest sizing down. Also, because of the fit, they fall longer than they should. I ordered the 29" length and it fits more like a 31." They ultimately don't give the look/fit that's advertised.
I have worn Ribcage jeans religiously for years. Different sizes, different colors - but always Leviās Ribcage. Unfortunately, I recently tried to restock my collection and they definitely seem to have changed drastically. Suddenly the thighs are tight and small and the waist is huge. I ordered multiple sizes and color ways to try - all the same problem. Super, super disappointing as they were the only jeans that ever fit my curvier hip/waist ratio in the past. Now it seems theyāve been reworked to only fit people with straight bodies and thin thighs. Please go back to the old pattern!
My waist and hip measurement is 29.5/41. The website recommended a size 28 for me based on my height and weight: 5ā9ā and 149 lbs. I tried 28, 29, and 30. The 28 definitely fit the best. A little snug at first, but within a few hours they stretched to fit nicely. I love the super high rise, and the 5 button fly seems more flattering than zippers. My butt looks amazing in these. There is quite a big gap in the back of my waist. My biggest problem is the lower half. I love a straight jean, but these look almost wide leg, which isnāt the most flattering. Also the length is weird for me. The 29ā inseam is a little too long to be ankle length, but the 27ā is too short. They kind of just look like high-waters. I decided to keep these to give them a fair shot.
After watching YouTube reviews, I was ready to try the Ribcage fit. A fan of the Wedgie, many said this style surpassed their beloved Wedgie jeans. Finding the best size without trying on is always requires research, to make the most informed decision when purchasing online. Knowledge of the material with each wash is imperative in determining your size and your fit preference. All the Leviās I have tried 501, Wedgie, and Ribcage, tend to stretch in some form. I bought my true size 28 which is the same size as my Wedgie jeans, and they fit perfectly. The only wash I chose a size up 29 was āLifeās Workā due to the rigid denim material and 99% cotton. Although, after few wears, I probably could have gotten the 28 because they do stretch out. At first Lifeās Work was ...Ā MoreAfter watching YouTube reviews, I was ready to try the Ribcage fit. Although, after few wears, I probably could have gotten the 28 because they do stretch out. At first Lifeās Work was the tightest wash, and if you want it to be snug, you may want to choose your true size. Keep in mind these sit high on the waist so if you want comfort while sitting, sizing up may be ideal. But again, they do stretch with multiple wears, and I think these look best when snug around the waist and hips. Inseam options of 27 and 29 are nice, but as a 5ā4ā height, I regret getting all 3 Ribcage Ankle Straight Jeans at 27 due to the straight leg style. I can get away with 27 inseam with skinnies, but the straight leg hit right above my ankles, making my legs look shorter. āTango Loveā wash in 27 inseam was way too short and I will be returning. The 27 inseam in āLifeās Workā and āOne Track Mindā was slightly longer hitting right at the ankle, and that works for me. With 3ā boots, āLifeās Workā looks chic and fashion forward. But if you plan to wear flats with these I would have chosen 29 inseam because that would elongate the leg and there is the option to hem or cut. If you are 5ā4ā or taller I would opt for the 29 length. All in all, I am enjoying this style, I canāt decide if I prefer the Wedgie or Ribcage, both have their own aesthetic. My body type is athletic, somewhat straight torso and medium size bum.
Iām 5ā6, 130lbs, Iām usually a 26 or 27 most places. I went with the 27 as theyāre 100% cotton and theyāre a little tight but I know theyāll stretch. The fit is beautiful for someone with a long torso like myself- only slight gapping. The only negative is that Iāve read that sizing is inconsistent in the non-stretch depending on the fabric content of the denim. Overall, a beautiful pair of jeans, if youāre unsure of sizing, go into the store. Theyāre too expensive to end up with the wrong size and not be able to return.
I bought the ribcage style in multiple sizes and washes. The Georgie wash was not my favorite. The material was high quality but a bit too thick for my liking at least in this wider leg ankle style. I am keeping a pair of 28x27 "haight at the ready" wash which is a thinner cotton/lyocell but I will have to slightly take in the waist. The waist in this wash did fit well in size 29 but felt a bit restrictive due to the heavier material. This same wash in size 28 was SO tight in the waist. (and remember "haight at the ready" is a bit big in size 28!) I recommend buying at least 2 sizes each of a few different washes to sort out and plan on returning most of them. Even though I am keeping one pair of ribcage it isn't my favorite style. My butt looks good, but the wide ankle length is not flattering and shortens the leg visually. This is improved with rolling the cuff for a super cropped look, but not always the style I'm going for. Also, the button fly adds bulk to my tummy pouch area in a "is she pregnant?" sort of way. I did get a pair of zip fly 70's high rise straight which solved most of the issues I have with the ribcage: the waist fits, the leg is longer and leaner and most importantly, the zipper really sucks in the ol' belly but doesn't feel too tight or require unbuttoning while sitting down.
