It can be placed in any orientation, but ideally you want it horizontal to minimize its footprint. The drive is basically plug and play as most consoles will recognize it right away. However, you may find it beneficial to first plug it in to your computer and formatting it to NTFS. I was also able to test and confirm this solid state drive’s read and write speed.I tested this ssd with my PS5 for reference. On the PS5, there’s 2 usb A ports in the back and one in the front along with a usb c port in the front. There’s no real difference between using the two since theoretically, the usb A port can reach speeds up to 10 Gbps which is more than this device’s read and write speed. The RGB feature is also really cool, especially when gaming in the dark.Overall, I am very impressed by this product. Although I cannot comment on its durability, it comes with a 5 year manufacturers warranty which should be reassuring. It does exactly what it needs to do and I will definitely be recommending this to others.

Set up was easy. Connected it and the prompts were automatic. It was also really easy to transfer over the data from my PC’s hard drive. A couple of clicks and the info was moved over. Freed up a ton of space on my PC.
