We replaced a 25 year old irreparable 5kg Simpson dryer, with this dryer. The LG drys as fast as the Simpson, without the moist air and energy use. It can be run off Solar, but you should confirm that it works with your particular Solar setup.I did a lot of research, and based on various comments on the internet I wasn't expecting much. It's been a pleasant surprise that the dryer has performed flawlessly and far exceed my expectations.A few things to be aware of:1. Heat pumps extract heat from the ambient air temperature. The manual gives maximum load weights for different fabrics. You can't put 8kg of cotton sheets in when the manual says half. See the manual on the LG site for the exact loading.3. The water container MUST be emptied after every dry. (And boy is there a lot of water extracted) LG supply a drainage pipe kit with the dryer for plumbing it into the Laundry. The dryer was installed on top of an LG Washing Machine, using the the SK Stacking Kit with extendable shelf. Extra but worth it.This dryer far exceeds our Simpson that could not run off Solar and filled the house with moisture.Very happy with the purchase, and Appliances Online delivery was excellent, as usual.

LG heat-pump dryer. I read lots of reviews before purchase. As an owner I now believe any negative reviews such as balled sheets, damp washing etc. must be user error. Make sure you read instructions, set the dryer up correctly, understand that your clothes may feel different coming out as it is using different technology compared to your old dryer (the clothes are in fact dry) and enjoy your machine. The positive reviews online are valid. Good machine, we wont look back.

The new dryer is fantastic. It fits neatly under our laundry bench top and runs without creating any condensation in the room. This is SO different from any other dryer weve owned. We live in central QLD and are approaching the wet season. So nice to be able to dry clothes without the dryer injecting condensation into the house- a big problem we had with the previous dryer. The humid air resulted in mold throughout the house, even when we dried clothes with doors and windows opened. Not any more. Its a whole new ball game. We bought bought the LG dryer as we already had an LG front loading washing machine. So they both match in the laundry and have very similar controls and operation. Both are great appliances and thanks to the Good Guys we got great deals on ... MoreThe new dryer is fantastic. My laundry is in our garage and our previous dry would pump out moist air and fluff all over our motorbikes and equipment. This heat pump dryer does not pump anything out, no more moist air and no temperature rise in the garage. I also purchased an LG washing machine so the two can stack on top of one another, no mat needed, nothing moves at all when they are being used. I love the ThinQ app so I know when the cycle is finished, but best of all the interactivity between the washer and dryer means the guess work is taken out of how long and what cycle to use on the dryer. This was a fantastic investment and I am very happy with it, highly recommend it especially if your laundry is in the garage or a very small space.
Excellent machine, we did lots of research and narrowed down on this or the Bosch Series 8. Went with the LG as had faster drying times compared to the Bosch (choice and preset times on machine).Had this for about a month now and its been superb, super quick drying time compared to our last heat pump and is relativity quiet too. No regrets going with this unit LG makes great fridges and aircons and the underlying technology is the same (heat exchange compressor) so have some confidence this will last. That being said nothing lasts forever so will be happy to get 5 years out of it at a minimum time will tell.
We decided on the Heat Pump system over a conventional element system to save some money on electricity bills and to due too our laundry not having a window or vent system to stop the moisture. Both of which have been great to date. Just have to adjust the expectation on dryer times on certain items like towels and bed sheets but all kids clothes drys perfectly.Slight issue after a couple of days the dryer would not spin at all. Called The Good Guys and after some phone diagnosis they raised a ticket and then replaced the whole system delivered and fitted. Support was excellent from the team at Mornington.
Only had the dryer for a couple of weeks, but so far we love it. There are lots of functions we haven't yet tried, but it's really easy to put a load through on the mixed setting. Bedding came out dry but not hot, and no tangles or balling. Emptying the condenser and lint filter is quick and easy. The dryer is very quiet and the touch screen control panel is clear and easy to use. I really like how robust the door feels too! Only 'complaint' is that my husband thought (hoped) the 'iron' setting meant his work shirts would come out actually ironed!
Can you confirm is the ezDispense Function the liquid detergent compartments. I pouring the exact amount of liquid detergent into the right one of the compartment and Fabric Softener into the left side compartment. Is it normal for the liquid detergent compartment to leave some liquid in the compartments I am happy with both my LG 9kg Washer and LG 9kg Dryer. I am happy I have purchased these products. When the installer came to install my washer and dryer onto the pedestals that I purchased from The Goods Guys. The installer advised me that the in correct bolts for the Lg 9kg heat pump dryer pedestal are not the correct ones. I will need to follow up this with the installer.
I have had this drier for about 3 months and I love it. It feels solid and sturdy when opening and closing the doors, it runs quietly and efficiently, there is no condensation in the laundry (obviously) and you can choose to plumb in the water tank. It fits in a small space in my laundry and comes with a wall mounting rack. My only irritation a sheet set on cotton mode doesn't come out dry, I generally have to run it twice.Aside from the sheet issue, I have used this for doonas, pillows, scrubs and even put silk and wool in it on the manual rack dry mode - they came out beautifully. We were using a VERY old hand-me-down dryer (that didn't really dry) but I really like that our electricity usage has gone down too. I am not sure the savings will make up the initial price, but for us this was more about reducing our energy usage in general.I honestly can't recommend this highly enough.
Had for two weeks. Flabbergasted that there is no delay start. We have 1/2 price power after 9pm. There is no farther on here to delay start once clothed loaded. Even on the app! You also can’t choose between lower power consumption or turbo mode as most modes are preselected with no option to change. I though app would also give interesting electricity use… it just gives stars out of 6 (ie the load used two stars), again pretty much pointless. Dryer performs well but most claims about great features are well wide of reality…
