The LG UltraGear 24GQ50F-B has exceeded all expectations I had when purchasing this monitor! I thought it would be the perfect intro gaming monitor- and I was right, but it has proven to be much more! The HD 1920x1080 display is perfect for gaming and consuming media. Well I will say that I was surprised with the performance of this monitor. I was blown away and amazed. The picture is nice and crisp. The bright vivid colors are pleasing to my eyes. Enough about that. Once I received the monitor I put it together in a breeze, of course, it’s a monitor. I started off by using it for work and I watched a few movies on it. I really liked the crisp picture quality, very vibrant colors. Then my 16 year old son saw that it was a gaming monitor with 165Hz refresh rate and I haven’t used it since. My son decided that he wasn’t going to use his TV anymore. He is very satisfied with the LG Monitor and the performance. However I will say that I wished that the menu options were a little more user friendly, it takes a while to go through all ... Love the frameless design and color accuracy of this panel, I typically daily drive my monitors for content creation and gaming so needed something with good response time and accurate color output. The 165Hz refresh rate is more than enough for my needs and I'm lucky enough that my system is powered by an AMD processor and GPU which pairs nicely with this panel’s AMD FreeSync. I love the added Gaming profiles that you can hot swap too depending upon if I'm console gaming or PC gaming that way I don’t have to modify panel settings every time, just an easy swap. I tried out the LG UltraGear 27GQ40W-B monitor as a replacement for my small 14 inch laptop screen and am pleasantly surprised at this MASSIVE improvement in size and image quality. I never really considered this idea before, but am so glad I got the chance to test and use this monitor in place of my laptop's built in screen, which has greatly improved my productivity and experience on a daily basis. I have a similar monitor from the same brand, and the two monitors side by side don't look much different. I was able to setup my new 27GQ40W-B monitor to a desktop system that is used regularly for home office work, light gaming and general internet browsing. Overall I've thoroughly enjoyed using the monitor and have appreciated the sharp image when using the HDMI connection and the color reproduction is far superior than my previous monitor. What I like:1: Image color,2: Monitor aesthetics,3: Multiple connection options,What I don't like and is the cause for this review only being four stars instead of five:1: No option to raise or lower the monitor. This is 2022, there's no good reason to not include this feature in a monitor in this day and age.Overall I really enjoy using this monitor and the image clarity and color reproduction are easy on my eyes.
