I studied and watched lots of reviews on ultra wide monitors. There is quite a large choice depending on what you intend using it for and how big your budget is.The LG 38WK95C was my final choice and I have been using it for a number of months. The curved screen I thought might take a bit of time to get used to, but it didn't. From switching it on and making a few adjustments I have found the LG 38WK95C to perform very well, the ability to split the screen into a variity of sizes has been a great help and is a great feature.I was using 2 separate monitors, having one large screen split into 2 or 3 separate windows is far better and has freed up my desk space and given me much more room. I have given 4 stars not 5, because of the lack of ability to adjust the sound from my keyboard.Overall very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it. It is used for 8 or more hours a day, most days and I love it.

Font clarity with Windows is ok but with a Mac it very poor. Spent countless hours on the phone with Apple, LG and several more hours searching through online forums. Several others have had the same issues and nobody has a solution. LG support was very dismissive...saying the unit is bad, take it in for servicing but I see no reason to do that for a brand new unit. Lastly, the onscreen control software and dual controller is very buggy. App crashes and tells you to update firmware that doesn't exist. LG support said to ignore it and that its for other models. Overall not impressed with this particular model. Will be returning.

Fulfill everything I ever ask from an ultrawide home office monitor. Multitasking makes super easy and efficient. Highly recommended not only to gamer but to anyone needing an ultrawide monitor but feel the usual 34" ultrawide is a little bit too short.If use with the supplied stand will probably eat up your desk space especially if you have a small desk (same goes for any ultrawide monitor of this size), so best coupled with a monitor arm of your own, which is how I set it up.Onboard speaker is sufficient for normal use like listening to your colleague speech in a meeting. For people who is looking to declutter the desk this save the space for another desk speakers.For next generation the improvement I will be looking for will probably be the thinner bezel but ... I recently had to replace an HP Z38c 38" monitor, and all the reviews said the LG 38WK95C-W is the best. So far, it has lived up to the hype! The USB-C video and power transfer allowed me to shrink my setup considerably, requiring only a single cable now to power my laptop, pass HD video, and connect audio.The only "downside" of the monitor is it does not lower as far on the stand as the Z38c. This isn't a big deal for most people, but with my setup I would have liked another inch or two lower.#sweepstakes
I’m pretty fussy, at least about certain things. I purchased this monitor to replace dual 27” displays. I felt with the 2 27’s I really could not use 6-9 (horizontal) inches on the far side as it was too far away, so I thought a 38” display would be a good fit. What I found was it was smaller than I’d like as I didn’t allow for the 1.5” I was missing in the middle of the two monitor setup. I think now I’d like about 43”, but hardly anyone makes one.The display arrived working but with a huge flaw/crack in the display panel, so had to return it and have not yet repurchased.What I like:1. The monitor attaches easily to the stand. No screws, positive lock. Very quick to assemble.2. Stand seemed stable.3. Comes with 6’ long DP, HDMI and USB-C cables.What I ... My fault for not noticing but this monitor has a white back. So from the front it’s all black (or image) but from the back its white.A whole lotta white. The way my office is configured, that’s what you see. Most people probably won’t care, since the monitor is probably against a wall. But definitely does not fit with my décor. White cables too – which can be a blessing since they easily stand out from all the other black cables sprouting under your desk.3.38” is actually smaller than I thought. Maybe 43” is a better option
I bought this monitor in 2020 for my home office setup for productivity. It has been a solid performer throughout its use with both the usb-c & display port inputs used daily. The styling is top notch with slim bezels & great picture quality. I would recommend using a high quality mount for a monitor of this price point.
My usage is probably 70/30 productivity to gaming. I was on the fence about going with curved or not so I started with the 34” curved and really enjoy it. It quickly decided the 38” was what I wanted. Currently running a dual curved monitor setup that is stacked vertically. 38” is my main and the 34” is above tilted down. I like the desktop real estate and the ability to set up default screen partitions. It also looks very sleek and I like the single stand over the dual set up I had. Also very impressed with the picture quality. I have not games yet so I can not comment on that aspect but it’s great for 3D modeling/rendering and also productivity for documents, email, browsers, etc. I honestly wish I would have just stepped up to the 38” first but for the price this ... I bought this monitor as the specs and features are very attractive and sadly it could have been the best monitor. However, the Thunderbolt cable connection behind the monitor is very loose and not secure. Also, the screen keeps on going black (loosing both audio and video) when connected via thunderbolt cable (supplied in the box). But it does not do this during HDMI input e.g. when gaming only when I have my laptop connected via thunderbolt.The customer service is the worst I have seen yet! I sent it for a repair via Satellite Sound & Vision and they sent it back in 2 weeks in a worse condition - the USB ports no longer working, they scratched the display/screen and didn't resolve the issue it was sent for (screen blinking and going black during use).The ... Monitor is great. Since I'm a long LG monitor user, I expected a lot from this one. And, it delivers on almost all fronts. Curvature is just perfect for monitor of this size, resolution and frame rate are great. Monitor is great for work productivity because of its high resolution (coming from 1080p ultrawide monitor). There is practically no bad thing about the product design and functionality, but... Quality control is a big letdown for this product. On a new unit I have two green stuck pixels. I feel disappointment because product with this price-tag should have better quality control and should never arrive to customer with this kind of defect. After short inquiry, I found out that no return is possible for just two stuck pixels, so this is a big disappointment.
