Nice deep colors and better brightness than the OLED.Games are great on the LG and the bonus is the 5120X1440 resolution which also makes it ideal for my productivity work. A really nice all around unit.The curve is pretty extreme (800R), especially since my last 49" screen had a subtle 1800R curve. My office desk is not positioned against a wall so having a solid cable management channel on the stand would have been helpful. For me at least, the codr management clip supplied here is useless and really looks like an afterthought. But I was able to work through my issues using cable ties and clips.All in all I love this monitor and given Microcenter's sale price, I thought it was a solid value. I'm looking forward to several years with this unit. At least until someone makes a 49" OLED with features as strong as this LG.

Windows trys to force the monitor audio as default but just disable it in playback devices and you'll be good. Overall a great monitor I can fully recommend.

While you would need a pretty serious gaming setup to enjoy the 240hz display on most major AAA titles, you can still receive the awesome benefit during regular windows use and lighter games.Calibration out of the box was a little on the dim side for my liking, but again, easy to set up and change in the actual monitor settings, which is accessed by a single four way directional button directly beneath the monitor.One of the main complaints of 32:9 ratio is that your eyes end up doing a lot of traveling. This is combated by LG by offering a very aggressive curvature, so while still massive, it isn't as much of a chore to quickly glance from one side of the screen to the other.While I use this display primarily for gaming, having four windows open at once for work is extremely satisfying. I use Excel a lot and being able to see a wide range of columns without scrolling is very convenient.Overall, I am extremely happy with the display and would recommend to anyone looking to jump into the 32:9 ratio game. In gaming, we had huge jumps in graphics and features in gaming from each generation to the other. If you're like me and feel like everything has been mostly the same over the past decade- this display will give you that same feeling as a kid when you got the newest gaming system. Completely revolutionary and a welcome game-changer.
This monitor has it all. Perfect picture and refresh rate for gaming, lots of picture settings (you can definitely find a setting that works for you), beautiful design with a great light accent in the back (can edit the color as well!).The monitor is pretty heavy and not easy to grab out of the box, so you might need someone to help you out getting it out of the box. You do have to install the stand while the monitor is still in the box as per instructions and this is very easy.Setting it up with Mac was a little challenging. The full resolution didn't work with an HDMI to USB-c cable, but the HDMI to HDMI USB-c dongle did the trick. I use it for work and it is impressive! It can automatically turn off if you are not using it and it does turn back on pretty fast so there is not much lag to get back to what you were doing.Overall it is a great product and definitely an upgrade to your gaming or office set up.
