I recently purchased the LG OLED TV 65 inch E8 Series and have been blown away by its stunning picture quality. The Picture on Glass design of the TV is truly impressive, with a sleek and modern aesthetic that looks beautiful in any living room. The 65 inch screen size is perfect for my space, providing a truly immersive viewing experience. The 4K resolution and HDR technology combine to produce incredibly vivid and lifelike images that make it feel like I am a part of the action. The OLED technology also ensures that the blacks are deep and inky, while the colors are rich and vibrant. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the picture quality of the LG OLED TV 65 inch E8 Series and would highly recommend it to others.

Reminds me of a black hole no light can escape it and seems like youll just keep falling into it, like my ex wife. Once you go OLED you'll never go back, playing video games on here with the new xbox series x is a perfect combo as the auto HDR and instant game response makes it feel completely next generation. The colors were initially to bright for me so I had to lower it on the settings. Also the sound on the tv is exptional, especially the Ai surround sound as it follows peoples voices around the screen and cars driving by adding depth into the already emersive experience but i bought a separate sound bar and woofer as no tv on the market can provide the same ammmount of bass as a woofer does. Other then that this tv continues to be the best purchase I have ever made and I am%100 guaranteed it will be for anyone that gets their hands on one. My only regret is not getting a bigger size as 65 inch is impressive but hey like they say size matters.

Excellent Picture Quality w/ Some Quirks

I've truly enjoyed my experience with the 65" LG GX. The picture quality is superb, and I'm generally enjoying the WebOS software. I cannot comment on sound quality as I have this hooked to a Sonos Playbar. Dolby Vision and HDMI 2.1 ports (4!) are what separate this from similar high-end models from Samsung. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Some minor gripes - no HBO Max app (can be added by manually by changing location to Mexico) and no ESPN App (haven't figured out a workaround for this one yet!). I used the provided wall mount to install the TV. It wasn't exactly difficult, but I would recommend having a professional to install it to ensure you get the zero-gap look.

Fantastic Picture with slim wall mount
15 September 2021

Bought this because of the wall mount feature with no gaps. Ended up installing shiplap on the wall that the TV is mounted on. The cables went behind the wall with a smurf tube so this is a really clean look. Only use the frame feature once and awhile as there is not a lot of content and the pictures last a short time. The pluses are the picture is fantastic and the sound is better than most TVs that are this slim. Most of the time I use the TV with an Apple TV 4K and use a pair of Homepods for sound. Would like the TV to support the Homepods. The remote is OK but find it more convenient to use the separate remotes. All in all this is a great TV and if you dig down you will see that it has been future proofed.

Great Picture but only lasted 4 months
8 November 2021

I thought the concept of a gallery tv was very nice. The picture is excellent at least for the first few months. I always turn the TV off to protect from burns ins. Well a few week lines started creeping across the screen. They went from barely visible to completely visible. Then came the issues with getting the replacement. LG sent out a replacement TV but it was the wrong size. Also the service rep is contracted from another state so it's a little bit of a challenge getting a hold of them. This is just a little bit of bad luck but it hasn't made my buying experience all that great.

Great quality with annoying features

First and foremost, the image quality is amazing. I love how thin it is, and having it mounted flat to the wall (though I do with the included mount could come out a bit more). I really liked the use of cable management, that is built into the back of the TV too.The 'gallery' app really does convince you that you're looking at a painting, because of the sharp colors and the deep blacks. Unfortunately, the images switch very often, and ruins running it full time (and you can't turn off the music). I understand why though, to avoid burn in. I just wish it could stay a bit longer. The big negatives, and I almost dropped it two stars for this... the 'alexa' support, and the terrible customer support/lack of updates. I just wish it could stay a bit longer. The big negatives, and I almost dropped it two stars for this... the 'alexa' support, and the terrible customer support/lack of updates. Just google 'alexa' and the LG GX series. If you choose to accept all the agreements, when setting up, and you 'try' alexa, you will always have alexa unless you reset your whole TV. You can sign out of the alexa app, but any time it thinks you, OR A COMMERCIAL says 'alexa', it will stop what you're watching, and try answering you (or start the alexa setup process). I'm not even suggesting it's amazon's commercials doing this. It literally detects 'alexa' from random conversations, where the word was not spoken.People have been begging for a software update, to disable this through the menu. When I contacted customer service, they informed me I needed to factory reset the TV. After I told them that was an unacceptable solution, they tried having my change regions on the TV, which triggered resetting the license agreements. I thought that would solve it, but no... in walks Alexa again! They then wanted me to start sending my serial numbers, which I felt was starting a pointless process. I just bit the bullet, and reset my TV. As a software developer myself, it boggles my mind why they won't put in a simple menu option. Until this is resolved, I will not be recommending this TV to anyone, despite how much I love it otherwise.Side note: Don't expect to watch HBO Max on this TV. For some reason, there is no LG support yet

King of OLED

We absolutely love our new LG OLED GX. We recently moved and our new home has a much larger living room so we wanted to upgrade from our 55” LG OLED to a 65”. If you have owned OLED in the past you know it is very difficult to jump to a different type of tech such as QLED or other TV technologies. OLED is just far superior with the true blacks. With that being said, we just needed to decide on what model. The GX brings a unique experience by being ridiculously thin. It also comes with a wall mount that pretty much puts your TV up agains the wall like a picture frame. Install was a bit tricky but there are enough videos out there to help you DIY it. The most helpful video was actually the one LG produced, start with that one and you should have no problem. We had a unique set up already having a wall entertainment unit but the GX still looks incredibly flush on the unit.Features are great, by having my home set up with apple HomeKit not Alexa it was important for me to be able to have the TV respond to Siri commands. The menu of options with Siri are not that extensive but I can still power on and off with Siri commands including my nightly routines.Picture quality is second to none and the built in picture options are pretty accurate.Sound quality is also surprisingly great considering the unit is so thin. We only use our HomePod for movies along with Apple TV but for now can hold off on a sound bar because the sound is great.Gaming is absolutely wonderful. We have an Xbox series S connected to the hdmi and can get 120hz gaming out of it because of the upgraded hdmi settings. Games look incredible and my son constantly wants to play his games on it.My only Negative on this unit is the glare on the screen. Our room is very bright and the GX is near a window so we do have to adjust where we sit sometimes because of the glare. I know most tvs would have this issue in our home but just FYI in case you want to minimize glare.Overall I can say enough positive things about this tv and our experience so far. This is an amazing tv that makes most everything you watch come to life. Fully recommend the LG OLED GX.

Love this TV

Only reason for the 4 rating, instead of 5, is this stupid “magic” remote control, which is anything but! And it can only be deactivated each time you turn on the TV, not permanently. Here’s a for instance: Turn on my Bluetooth headphones, TV pops up a decision box asking if I want to activate them. Move remote “magic” arrow in the slightest, and the decision box changes to where you can’t just push the “select” button, but now must chase down the box with the magic arrow. Very, very aggravating, enough to cost a “star”!!

It will save the TV from any burn-in shadowing.I also love how the magic remote works, you can just point the remote to the TV and select the function you want, much faster than clicking the up, down, left and right button on the remote control. We installed the LG GX65 OLED TV Gallery Design in our living room on a standalone wall that separates our living room and kitchen. The TV sits flush against the wall which makes it look just like a piece of artwork. It hangs on the wall exactly like a painting and there are no wires protruding from the TV which is SO nice! The lack of wires and cables showing makes your home space look clean, streamlined, and uncluttered. Really pleasing to the eye.I can turn on the "Art Gallery" function which is a bit like a screen saver which is included in the TV. It provides a selection of old master paintings in frames and the picture looks 3D, it's amazing! The TV measures at 56.9" W x 32.7" H x 0.8" D and about 65 inches diagonal.

The 4k TV has fluid movement for watching sports and for games so you don't miss any action. I have a whole host of movies lined up waiting to be watched this weekend. The sound from the TV is incredible. I never thought I would say that about a television, but there you have it....I am hearing wonderful rich sounds from this TV before even hooking up my sound system. They have different sound modes other than standard which include AI Sound Pro, cinema, lear voice IV, sports, music, game. The TV sound output can connect to bluetooth, internal TV speakers, WiSA speakers, optical, HDMI Arc, audio out line out, wired headphones. Any of the output sounds can also be used in conjuction with the internal tv speakers. The remote control is great - it also has a pointer and you can see a red dot and point to what you want to select on the TV. It's voice activated - so much better than finding the buttons on the remote in the dark. The remote control / TV is preloaded with several streaming channels including an LG channel. As soon as this pandemic is over, I am hosting a movie night to show off my new toy to all my friends. I love my LG TV and my friends will to.
