Best dryer I have owned

This dryer replaces a 30 year old school dryer, so it's not hard to be better and more efficient in every way. I have a large family and have a 10KG LG washer, so a matching unit was a nice to have, but not the ultimate decision-maker. The beauty of a dryer this size is that I can effectively move an entire load of washing directly from the washer to the dryer without having to worry about splitting it or overloading the dryer. As for efficiency, this manged to dry clothes in about the same time it takes to another load of washing so on those cold wet Melbourne days you can go through and do load after load back to back unlike my old dryer. This thing does connect to WiFi, although I don't quite see the point of anything other than the notifications you can get on ... MoreThis dryer replaces a 30 year old school dryer, so it's not hard to be better and more efficient in every way. Apparently if you have a newer LG Washer they will talk to coordinate starting the next load of washing at the right time too so it's ready when the dryer finishes, but not something I see a lot of benefit in.

Fantastic dryer

This dryer is fabulous. Nothing has shrunk or gone out of shape. It is quiet. Energy efficient. Looks great. Can fit an entire load of towels or sheets from my 12kg Lg front load washer. Has cut down on our washing loads each week as so much can go in washer and then straight to dryer.

Great Dryer

I Great features, easy to use. The WiFi function took me a little bit to work out, but once I got a handle on it, there are great features to download for extra programs. I've only had the dryer for two weeks and already the 9kg size capacity has allowed me to get ahead of my washing and now I'm starting on all the winter bedding the day for next season. Also it dries must quicker than I first anticipated moving from a vented dryer to a heat pump dryer.

Most expensive, worst dryer I've ever owned!
21 February 2022

We like to dry things in the dryer in our house…. In the past, we’ve found that using dryers keep things from getting creased and decrease the amount of ironing we have to do. Not so with the $2500 dryer from LG. In order to dry a duvet cover, with the AntiCrease option on, I have to remove it from the dryer THREE TIMES and unwind it from the ball it has made itself into. Hot on the outside and wet on the inside. In fact, last time I did this, I videoed myself untangling it – and it took over 2.5mins, it was that tightly entangled. All in all, it took approximately 5mins of detangling and the item had as many wrinkles as a 90year old cowboy's neck. Drying business shirts should be a breeze with the LG dryer, however, you can guarantee that the arms of the shirts are ... MoreWe like to dry things in the dryer in our house…. Drying business shirts should be a breeze with the LG dryer, however, you can guarantee that the arms of the shirts are tangled into a mess resembling the fishing line of a toddler… if you’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing such a thing. This requires the patience of a saint and a spare half hour in which you can attempt to untangle the shirts… by which time you have to thoroughly wet them again in order to get the creases out. I cannot understand how such a thing can happen. With the LG Dryer, things wind them selves into a ball - hot and dry on the outside, moist on the inside (lets not go there for analogies). Dryers are intended for one thing only…. To dry clothes/sheets. Anything less than that, renders the product UNFIT FOR PURPOSE.

Nice and quiet
5 February 2023

This is our second LG heat pump dryer, so we had a good idea of what to expect. This model is much queter than our other one which is about 8 years old, and has features such as internect connectivity. The only feature missing from this model that the old one had and I miss is that it doesn't reverse the direction of the drum during drying to prevent large itsems lilke sheets tangling up in a ball. This means you need to stop the cycle once or twice and untangle the knot they get into.

Quick, quiet and efficient, more heat options would be nice
8 September 2020

Have had this dryer for a bit now and it is great! Just stick your wet washing in and hit play. Easy as that. It's super quiet and our power bill has dropped significantly since changing to this one from the Fisher & Paykal condenser dryer. The only thing that I don't like about it is the heat settings. There is normal or turbo modes which are both quite hot in the automatic cycles or you can select a cold air cycle from the manual side which does not dry the clothes at all, just cools down the hot clothes. In saying that, I haven't had any clothes shrinkage from the hot cycles but it did turn an iron on pattern black on some activewear while on turbo mode. Apart from that, this is probably the best and easiest to use dryer I have ever owned and would recommend it 100%.

Quiet, sleek, just dont fully load it
5 August 2022

Really great, no more wet steamy laundry! You can water your plants with the water after each load.It doesnt do too well when fully loaded, thats one minus.Although the product is great, good guys are the worst. They take your money and then tell you they dont have the product in stock and it will be weeks to receive it. This has happened twice in two months so before ordering online, call their customer support and wait on hold to ensure they have stock

Very good efficient dryer
23 April 2021

Holds a very large load, dries effectively, no moisture in the air, and has more drying options than I will ever need. Will not give 5 stars as it does not seem to reverse its tumbling direction so occasionally with large quilt covers or sheets you get a bundled effect that is stll damp in the centre. I resolve this by if I remember pausing the dryer untangling and restarting after about 1 hour or at the end of a cycle untangling and running a second time. The plus side is my wattmeter tells me we are using less than 1/4 the electricity of our previous F&P vented dryer with more than twice the capacity.

Wifi conected it run when your solar is strogest.
30 June 2022

My review after two weeks is very positive. This dryer runs silent. Is wifi conected so l can turn it on when solar panels are full strength. It dried a king size doona in 2 hours. Im impressed. My old drier cost $1750 and lasted 7 years thats 69 cents a day. I would like this on to last at least that long. My LG fridge is 11 years old.

Worst appliance I have ever purchased
8 June 2022

Purchased 6 months ago, worst appliance I have ever purchased. Paid over $1000 for a dryer that takes forever to dry clothes. Do not buy a heat pump dryer if u need it done quickly. It has a quick setting of 30 mins and I don’t know why? I only put 3 items in and it still take at least an hour to dry. Normal loads take 3 hours. Absolutely ridiculous
