Amazing 9-star energy efficient clothes dryer

This is an amazing product. I never knew a Dryer could do all these things. It has been excellent so far and I would highly recommended it. I am sure we are not using all the features yet! I always thought clothes dryers were a waste of money and precious energy but we are enjoying this one so much and our electricity bill has not suffered so far. Ask me again in Winter!

LG heat-pump dryer. I read lots of reviews before purchase. As an owner I now believe any negative reviews such as balled sheets, damp washing etc. must be user error. Make sure you read instructions, set the dryer up correctly, understand that your clothes may feel different coming out as it is using different technology compared to your old dryer (the clothes are in fact dry) and enjoy your machine. The positive reviews online are valid. Good machine, we wont look back.

This is an exceptional dryer other than one VERY BIG issue with it balling up sheets and destroying draw strings on anything you put in it. A simple firmware update would fix this but LG customer service just respond with "this is how it is designed, 7-10 minutes tumble then a 7 second reverse tumble then repeat". It seems to be a very common complaint and had I known this before purchase, I would not have considered this product. Electrolux and Fisher & Paykel do not have this issue.

Fabulous LG Heat Pump Dryer
21 October 2022

The new dryer is fantastic. It fits neatly under our laundry bench top and runs without creating any condensation in the room. This is SO different from any other dryer weve owned. We live in central QLD and are approaching the wet season. So nice to be able to dry clothes without the dryer injecting condensation into the house- a big problem we had with the previous dryer. The humid air resulted in mold throughout the house, even when we dried clothes with doors and windows opened. Not any more. Its a whole new ball game. We bought bought the LG dryer as we already had an LG front loading washing machine. So they both match in the laundry and have very similar controls and operation. Both are great appliances and thanks to the Good Guys we got great deals on ... MoreThe new dryer is fantastic. First New Dryer
3 May 2022

This is my first new cloths dryer, I was given a 30 year dryer 10 years ago that chews the power. I love how this dryer has a senor and adjusts the time of the cloths that need to be dried. I have used 2 settings, the first was mixed fabrics and the cloths came out quite creased then I used the setting that reduces the creases (crease care I think) and I could hang up the cloths straight away. I love the set up of this dryer and it goes great with my 14KG LG front loader, in fact I can nearly place a whole load from my washing machine into the Dryer it is so large. I can not wait to use the blanket refresh mode on my dryer. LG you have another great item again

Good Product & Very efficient!
23 December 2022

We decided on the Heat Pump system over a conventional element system to save some money on electricity bills and to due too our laundry not having a window or vent system to stop the moisture. Both of which have been great to date. Just have to adjust the expectation on dryer times on certain items like towels and bed sheets but all kids clothes drys perfectly.Slight issue after a couple of days the dryer would not spin at all. Called The Good Guys and after some phone diagnosis they raised a ticket and then replaced the whole system delivered and fitted. Support was excellent from the team at Mornington.

Great machine, really happy.
11 September 2022

Only had the dryer for a couple of weeks, but so far we love it. There are lots of functions we haven't yet tried, but it's really easy to put a load through on the mixed setting. Bedding came out dry but not hot, and no tangles or balling. Emptying the condenser and lint filter is quick and easy. The dryer is very quiet and the touch screen control panel is clear and easy to use. I really like how robust the door feels too! Only 'complaint' is that my husband thought (hoped) the 'iron' setting meant his work shirts would come out actually ironed!

It has a light inside!!

Nice big dryer, gets things dry - has three drying settings - iron dry, cupboard dry and.. extra dry Not sure why you would want to put things in the cupboard if they are not totally dry but this is an option. Among the many drying options it has a turbo dry function so you can reduce the energy efficiency but get your clothes dry quicker. Plumbed in the condenser drainer (similar to a washing machine drain hose) and the only thing to do is empty the double lint filter each load. Lost a star on drying sheets because the single direction drying drum means your sheet is bundled up like a swaddled baby in no time, so you have to stop the machine periodically and shake the sheets out so they dry properly. This is no too arduous as long as you remember and are prepared ... MoreNice big dryer, gets things dry - has three drying settings - iron dry, cupboard dry and.. extra dry Not sure why you would want to put things in the cupboard if they are not totally dry but this is an option. This is no too arduous as long as you remember and are prepared to stay home while the sheets dry. Also the wool setting, despite being in the 'sensor dry' section has a time limit of 30 mins - so you have to keep going back to restart if your woollen thing/s don't dry within this time. You can set a manual dry but this involves more self training with instruction manual.Other excellent features are being able to turn off the sound so you don't have to have annoying dings and songs if you prefer (yay!), shoe/ jumper rack for flat drying and there is a light inside the drum so you can see your load when you open the door, like a fridge! This is super useful. It is also extremely quiet for a tumble dryer and does not make a room hot, damp or steamy like the old school dryers.

Looks great
14 June 2022

These are the positives -quiet-looks great-no condensation-easy to useNegatives-takes forever to dry clothes. And I mean forever. It took me 6 hours to dry a load the other day. This dryer wouldnt suit a big family where you are constantly doing laundry. There is only 3 of us and it already annoys me. I said no to recommending it because of how long it takes. It did say this when I read other reviews but I didnt think it would take this long to dry.

Poor Warranty Service
15 August 2022

The Duvet function is not safe, it doesnt switch off after setting the 2.5 hrs completed even the quilt covers have been 100% dry. It keeps adding 3.5 hours more and the machine gets really hot. The hopeless part is I cant get a clear answer what is the normal hours for this function, as I was told it depends on how wet and how heavy of the items inside the machine. The good guys sent a technician to me, without any test he just told me the machine has no problems. I dont know where I can get help, I spent $1800 on a dryer to help, and not to create more problems.
